    The kitchen from aloud booth

My dad and I came and got the pork Parmesan sandwich with a side of carrot ginger soup we split it because it was the biggest schnitzel I have ever seen, we both agree it was one of the best sandwiches we have ever had. The service was excellent food came fast kind people. The vibes were great rustic almost very cozy and nice patio I loved how you could see the chef cook right beside you, really recommend!

    Sarmale with Ribs

We ordered takeout from this small European restaurant. We placed our orders over the phone, and thankfully, they were ready within the next 15-20 minutes or so. Once we stepped inside the restaurant for our pick-up, our food was ready, and we promptly paid. By the time we got back to our Airbnb, the food was still warm, and the portions were huge. I ordered the sarmale with ribs. It included three pork cabbage rolls, and four barbecue pork ribs with polenta with bacon and cheese and a homemade pickled tomato. I think this dish really hit the spot. I personally never have cabbage rolls on a regular basis, so it was great to treat to expand my palate with this sort of European dish. My friend got the schnitzel, and his was a huge piece of meat. I think it was either the chicken or pork, and like me, he was also unable to finish his entire dinner. I really think that this is a great spot to hit up if you are staying within Squamish. In Vancouver, we really never have European straight food up. It's always a mix of Canadian or fusion or something else, so it's a delight to try this sort of cuisine. One thing I wish that they could improve upon would just be seasoning their food, but overall, their food was on point. The service was great with the short interaction that we got with the restaurant, so if you are lazy to dress up and eat inside a restaurant, this is a great place to order it. We tried ordering at a different barbecue joint about five minutes away from this place; however, they were too busy to even take our order, so at the end of the day, I would go here.

Service was amazing, portions enormous, food soooo delicious Definitely will come back

Classic Benny with a side of homemade sausage

The food wait on a Sunday at noon was pretty slow but the dishes ended up being worth the wait. I love how you can mix and match your Benny or add a third Benny to your meal. The place is pretty impressive with what it makes in-house. They make their own English muffins, sausages, pea meal bacon, ginger beer and ice cream. Homemade hollandaise too but I think that's fairly standard at most places. I'm sure there's probably more but that's the extent of what we tried. I love the personal heated lamps you get on the patio, I've never seen those before and I think they are super neat. Service was friendly and the ambiance was comfortable. The only improvements I could see were the flavouring of the sausage and how dry my hash browns were. I could tell they were on the flat top for a while and had become pretty dehydrated.

    Bennies with peameal bacon!

Great place for breakfast & coffee. Service was great! Had the eggs Bennie with peameal bacon and hubby had the French onion soup. Let's start with the Bennie: sauce was a 5/5, egg cooked perfectly; although I did not like the spinach spin on the classic. I'm a classic girl when it comes to my bennies. The potatoes were a 3.5/5. Now the soup: it was a 3 / 5. Not enuf cheese and the flavour was bland...we've had better. The place is very cute / quaint but very small so if going at a popular time, u may have to wait. I would recommend checking out this place for their bennies. Also their coffees were a 5/5!!

They pack boxes lunches for river floats... just ingo, nothing to do with me. I just had the best breakfast in the cutest, most organized all-homemade resto I have found since moving to the mainland 4 years ago.

PHENOMENAL!!! Not going to lie, we ended up here because we follow them on Instagram. Came in for a late lunch on the way up to Whistler. My wife had the Schnitzel & Spaetzle and I had the Cubano. We split them & still had enough to take for a snack the next day. Everything was made fresh in the open kitchen that's right next to the dining room. Definitely recommend and cannot wait to go back. Hidden gem in Squamish!

    Cubano!!!

Every course showed real intention, but two will stick with me: the A5 Wagyu & Duxelle Nori Cappelletti was a small masterpiece, and the Duck that followed was perfectly cook and seasoned. Out of this world. What elevated the night beyond the food was the team. The chef, the kitchen, and the front-of-house were all genuinely knowledgeable and engaged. Every course came with context delivered like a conversation, not a script -- the kind of confidence you only get from people who actually love what they do. A stellar night out. I had a great feeling about their customer service as I was in touch with Silvia via email about the delayed publishing of the set menu for Valentines Day. With the great ratings and look over the menu (especially vegetarian menu for my friend), we decided to book and pay for the meal in advance (deposit). I've never had a 6-course type meal and was looking forward to the nice treat, but my hopes must have been set too high. Overall, the plates were small and underwhelming. There was always one component of each dish that was unsatisfying. From the creamy yet acidic sauce that came with the ravioli, glorified avocado toast, or just a head of cabbage., my vegetarian friend didn't get the sustenance or value in her meal. For me, the duck and beef tartare were the best bites. We both liked the hojicha tiramisu, which we got packaged to go. It was a long service, almost 2.5 hrs, when we began at 8:45pm. The waitress kept it real with us, asking for our feedback, which led her to bring out a more classic dish that the restaurant offers for my friend to supplement her meal. It was okay, but not memorable or making up for the rest of the night. Maybe the menu was rushed, but the ingredients made us excited just for us to leave thinking we definitely could have had a better meal (and for cheaper) elsewhere.

Recently I went for brunch with my family for Father's Day and we had a great time. We all ordered different brunches. My brother and dad got the French omelettes, my mom the quiche Lorraine, my sister the carbonara and myself the mushroom egg tart. We all really enjoyed our dishes. Mine was light, fluffy, flakey and bright with a perfectly cooked soft poached egg. It's a clean feeling breakfast. My sister's carbonara was a proper carbonara (made with egg yolks) it was really savoury and a touch too salty for me but I enjoyed a taste of it. We also ordered the basque cheesecake. I've noticed more and more basque cheesecakes on menus but very rarely do restos do it right. I was looking for a gooy-er lighter but full cheese flavoured basque and unfortunately this just doesn't hit the mark - it's a bit dense and lacks that rich cheese flavour. It was a miss but everything else was great including the service. We had many attentive waitresses from the bar staff to the floor staff and had some great convos with them. This is a staple for the neighborhood and I wish we had more places like this!

I like the new chairs with the…read morecushions that give a nod to crocodile skin aesthetics along with the warm golden tones and the beautiful semi-private seating nook. The front of the house/bar area seems to be more vibrant colours with the bright pop of red which ties into the rugs in the main dining area. I'd probably remove the second rug but if I had to guess, I'd say red may be Feenie's favourite colour as it is a touch out of place. With Michelin stars making their debut in Vancouver only a few years ago, it seems that perhaps Le Crocodile may be gunning for a star as much of the Lower Mainland seems to be. The level of service is excellent; friendly and speedy, everything you could ever want. The food is elevated but has more non-french or fusion themes going on than before. The foie gras terrine topped with cherries is the perfect combo of sweet and creamy; the brioche really brings it home. The French onion soup is gooey and rich with depth of flavour however the cheese had a bit too much of a smoky burnt taste as opposed to a charred broil. The dover sole was perfectly de-boned at table side and my mouth was watering while watching. It could've used a touch more seasoning but other than that the sides made it so elegantly French that it brought tears to my eyes. I could have done with a touch less beurre blanc as it was almost on the verge of drowning the beautiful dover sole. The presentation of Le Crocodile's dishes are truly Michelin level. I thoroughly enjoyed the medium-rare veal with what seemed to be home-made pasta and the sauce that raised it to the next level. Desserts were great and although the mini chocolates at the end are no longer in a crocodile shape they do have a decorative gold crocodile made by no other than Thomas Haas which brings in the local vibes. There were tiny things such as the scratched bread plates, the loose tea on the tea pot lid, and a small fibre in the menu which are going to be the very difference between staying at this high level and gaining a star that will need to have more attention to detail. With all that said, I'd still recommend anyone who loves French cuisine to make sure to stop by this spot.
