Wild Blue absolutely delivered -- from the atmosphere to every single plate. We started with the Pemberton farmed beet salad, and it was such a beautiful balance of earthy and bright. The miso sesame dressing added depth without overpowering the beets, while the puffed grains gave it the perfect crunch. The nori, shiso, and hint of yuzu brought a subtle freshness that made the dish feel light yet layered. A stunning start. The cavatelli with fontina and 5g shaved black truffles was pure comfort but elevated. Rich, silky, and deeply savory, with the truffle aroma hitting you immediately. The focaccia and fresh herbs tied it all together -- indulgent without feeling heavy. The standout for me was the sablefish. Perfectly cooked -- buttery and flaky -- paired beautifully with turnip, radish, and maitake mushrooms. The roasted fish bone sauce was incredibly refined and packed with umami. Every bite felt intentional and balanced. And to finish, the sticky toffee pudding -- warm, decadent, and exactly what you want to end the night. Sweet, comforting, and unforgettable. Wild Blue blends refined technique with thoughtful ingredients. Definitely one of the highlights of dining in Whistler

Amazing food, drinks and service! Was super impressed with this place and how they handled our large group. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the seafood platter and miso lingcod were the standouts of the night. Everything was seasoned perfectly and the NY steak was cooked to perfection. For drinks, a crowd favourite was the negroni and the pistachio cocktail. Will definitely be coming back here for future celebratory dinners!

Perfection! The cool cozy atmosphere, the kind staff, and the most delicious food. This is a definite must try in whistler. My favourite cocktail was the matcha! Even the non alcoholic cocktails were amazing. I love their attention detail and creativity.

It was a very disappointing experience. We haven't visited Whistler in years, I was looking forward to this trip because we had booked what I thought was the top rated restaurant there but boy was I ever wrong. Their geoduck and clam pasts tasted okay but the serving size was laughably small, 2 large bites to perhaps 4 small bites at best. The worst thing was the overcooked geoduck, they're basically large clams and anyone who's cooked and eaten clams will know that overcooked clams turn rubbery and the few bits of geoduck were as rubbery as a rubber duck. The same applies to their Roasted Ling Cod, unless you enjoy overcooked ling cod, avoid at all costs. Amongst our group we ordered 3 New Your Steaks, we ordered medium rare, to their credit they were all cooked a perfect medium rare. Trouble was they were all way over salted. Too much salt to make them enjoyable, frankly I've had much better steaks at Denny's. As part of their prix fixe menu they had smoked black cod which I normally enjoy. Here they mashed the black cod into a chip dip which they served with their house made potato chips, While the dip was okay as far as taste goes, the chips they served last week on Wednesday night were all stale, not yet rancid but definitely stale. If the manager is reading this, I suggest he take a few and taste them himself. Prices weren't out of line since this is a resort area and restaurant pretty much can count on a "captive" clientele. However value wise this place should not be anywhere near the top of your go-to list.

Very classy upscale decor upon entering. Reminiscent of the inside of a ship, a fancy one! The bar is large with a warp around bar seating area and the dining room is also large but intimate feeling good for groups too. We've been here before but thought we'd try their Prix fixe menu and it did not disappoint! For $39 we had a four course meal and it was just enough portion size to feel full and not stuffed. It may be small for someone with a larger appetite. More like a tasting menu. Starters: fresh pea salad, organic spring mix salad Appetizer: pasta (a version of carbonara) it was delicious! Main: veal shank- amazing, but comes with a surcharge, well worth it! The ling cod equally amazing no surcharge! Dessert: rhubarb slice and a lemon meringue bite. Everything was perfectly cooked and presented, service is equally high and you can always choose the option of a wine pairing for a bit extra to have with your meal. Worth the visit and at this price you can't go wrong, so get it before the regular season begins and prices go back up!

Wild Blue was recommended to us by multiple friends, and our experience far exceeded our high expectations. What an incredible restaurant! The service, ambience, and incredible cuisine makes this one of the best restaurants in Whistler. We were fortunate enough to sit at the bar, which was a lovely treat. The bartender was so kind, interesting, social, and made great recommendations for us. We had a selection of local oysters to start, I ordered the Sablefish, and my husband ordered the Duck Breast. Each course was perfectly plated, and the sommelier made a perfect recommendation for a wine to complement each of our plates. Heavenly doesn't begin to describe the almost ineffable flavors. We had the Petit Fours for dessert. What a perfect and light end to a phenomenal meal.

I've come here many times the past 2-3 years and was initially blown away by the food so much we ate there almost 3 days in a row and it became our favorite restaurant in Whistler, but each time we've visited the past year or so - maybe three times - sadly we've been enjoying the food less overtime. The most recent time we went, we had the $59 3 course prix fixe meal and the only dishes we enjoyed of the 6 was the Cauliflower Ceasar and steelhead crudo. The rest of the food was not to our liking... the Chicken liver was very sweet, lingcod texture seemed freezer burned and flavor was lackluster. The glazed pork belly was 3 slices of an overpowering sweet thick bacon... not at all what I came to expect from my initial visits nor worth the price we paid... still very nice restaurant, vibe and service though.

The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. I wanted a sweet drink and the server recommended the rhubarb strawberry drink...delicious. The lighting and music perfect. My partner picked the best place for dinner. The place got packed. First of all, lobster bisque was delicious and the halibut was yummy. My partners rib cap was amazing and tender. The shishito pepper and the sauce . My fave and hands down my #1, it was the sticky toffee pudding. To me, its the best i have ever had. Hands down my fave. I would recommend friends and family to go there. I recommend everyone should go there.

Had a reservation for 2 at Wild Blue at 5:30 on a Sunday night. Our server was absolutely lovely and spot on with her recommendations. What we decided on: Octopus appetizer: 10/10 This set expectations extremely high for the rest of the night. The octopus was perfectly cooked and the chickpeas surprisingly stole the show. Bluefin Tuna entree: 6*/10 This rating really deserves a big caveat. Being that the two of us are huge fans of sushi and live in the Seattle area, and thus have access to amazing sushi places (see my other Yelp reviews), unfortunately the bluefin tuna fell short compared to everything else we had. The scallion tempura was very unique and amazingly made and the dish is very well put together. It just didn't wow us. Beef Short Rib steak frites: 10/10 The short rib blew our minds. Amazingly tender, perfectly cooked. Paired with the yakiniku sauce, it was perfection. NGL the fries were a bit of an afterthought. Passable but nothing special. Sticky Toffee Pudding dessert: 9/10 A great way to end the meal. Lost a point because it was all gone too soon. Can't wait to come back and try some more dishes here!

We came here because of the reviews and we are so glad we did. The food was really good and the service was great. Donald was our waiter and he was very friendly and offered great suggestions. Hamachi crudo - delicious and highly recommended (it's one of their best sellers) Oysters - fresh and delicious Octopus - good Prime rib eye + fries - the steak was cooked to perfection and it was delicious and we didn't even need use any of their sauce. Please note that if you pick two sauces, you will get charged for the extra sauce. Fries were good too. Grilled shrimp - good Rigatoni with a red sauce - good (kids meal) Sticky pudding - delicious (it would have been better if they put a candle on it as we were celebrating a birthday) Overall, great restaurant and walking distance from the Westin.

This place is so hard to get into if you don't have advance reservations, but wow it was incredible. Best meal I had at Whistler and the octopus was the best dish of our trip. We were seated at the bar and had a 60 min time limit because we didn't have reservations, but came early enough. Got oysters, the grilled octopus, and two filet mignons as our entree. The bartender warned that it would take a while but they got our food to us in record speed so they can shuffle us out of there without rushing us to eat. If you were wondering, we were stuffed and had plenty of spare time within their hour limit. As for ambience, it is definitely fancy. If you've ever watched "The Bear" there are elements of the impeccable service but also, workers bickering because it's such a machine to turn over customers at their service level. It was awkward as I could hear someone at the bar sniping at other workers and the moment you set your napkin down wrong, someone is there to refold it for you.

We managed to score a reservation for our party of 9 over the Christmas break. What a treat! From the minute you step into Wild Blue, the ambience was warm, inviting and the bar was visually stunning. It was so festive with all the Christmas lights. We were seated in the private dining room and our server was professional, knowledgeable and helpful the entire night. It was nice that we all were able to order off the a la carte menu for a party of 9. Drinks, wine and food all delicious. I think the standouts were the seafood platter with the green chili gremolata. So yummy. The prawns were so fresh, nicely chilled and truly tasted as if they had just come out of the water. The bacon chop also a must order. It didn't disappoint and will absolutely be back next time we're in Whistler.

Came for a late night drink. Two glasses of white and the Parmesan truffles fries to share. Two seats are the bar with no wait and no reservations. Pros: - absolutely beautiful interior and space. Super lush and relaxed - the service was impeccable with attention to detail and knowledge on the wine - fries appeared double or triple fried. It was fantastically crisp and flavorful (without the oily texture) - check out the bathroom. There's a sitting powder room to enjoy - on the pricey side, but that's to be expected: $22/glass of wine

    Special birthday treat.

They also had a Halloween cocktail list. The hostess was friendly, but our server killed our experience. Her words were friendly but her facial expressions and body language revealed how much she disliked serving us. My husband and I spoke after, we both felt she was probably racist. Their happy hour menu had a big selection of food items but no drinks. Everything was pretty expensive for happy hour. We tried the raw Albertan elk tartare and potato puffs. Though the restaurant was largely empty when we arrived, we were sat at a booth that at best sat 4 and was not enough for the 5 in our group. We tend to eat lots of appetizers rather than one big meal so I knew the table would not work - we asked to be moved and the server was quite confrontational - she eventually agreed to move us to one of two larger tables that was available the whole time we were there! But it was a weird start and had we not already ordered drinks and it been a Saturday night with most places booked - I would have walked as I don't ever recall been talked to like that in a restaurant and my guess is they moved us in time to stop us leaving. She also told us that she would stagger courses appropriately- that never happened. Pretty much everything arrived at once which I wondered if it was an attempt to flip the table quickly for other large parties - who were not exactly lining up in abundance. The other large table sat empty even after we left. It arrived so, so fast I would guess that a lot of it was pre prepared and just heated up as multiple plates were brought out less than 10 minutes of ordering. Also most of the appetizers and salad arrived last so they seemingly did not know or care to course appropriately. We also ended up stacking dishes at the end of the table as they were not removed- though to be fair, they appeared to be woefully understaffed . Food had some hits and some misses .The meat eaters loved the chicken, the shishito peppers were excellent, , watermelon salad was good, potatoes croquettes were a shadow of their former selves and needed more flavor , mussels were okay and the Creme brûlée was gritty! Weird vibe, mediocre service, food was just okay - much better places to eat in the Village so I wont go back.

We could have even excused the flies ...but then you add the bad service and understand that this place just sucks. Every time we needed something we had to hunt our server down-ketchup, water, a quick picture. The place was nearly empty. They didn't tell us the iced tea was sweetened. Most places mention this. No biggee. When we realize it is, we told them we didn't want sweetened iced tea and didn't touch it, but then our server gave awkward attitude when we asked (very politely) to have it removed from the bill. Is that not common sense? We asked for a box and after nearly 10 minutes went to check what happened...our server forgot. Maybe she didn't care to put in any effort because of the mandatory 20 percent tip charge for parties over 6 ppl.
