We ordered the truffle fries and the poutine. Truffle fries were perfectly crispy and the garlic aoli was spot on. Very delicious. The poutine I'm not a huge fan of by itself, but it was visually more appealing than Longhorns which I had a day ago. Again, it's just soggy fries. Ordered the hot honey pizza, double pepperoni parmesan and the bbq. Was not aware the barbecued had pineapple on it, but we powered through as a group. Service can take awhile but the food here is pretty good. I got the fish and chips and it came out piping hot and was perfectly crisp. The cocktails here are good as well, a nice way to stay warm in the cold weather! read more

Decided to pop into this pub for some chow after we got off the snow! Seemed like a super cute pup to go into, they had a full patio and some banging music on the inside. Scott was our server and he did a fantastic job at getting our table together and our drinks ordered. He made a few recommendations, and we told him we were also limited on time, and he did his thing. When the food arrived, it is your typical bar food. I had the Fish and Chips, which I really liked, and I also got to try the duck ragoo and garlic parm fries. I liked the ragoo, the fries were ok, nothing to write home about. Just as we were about wrapped up, Scott was back over to the table to clear and bring us our checks. I loved that he was just on it from a timing perspective to give us just enough time to enjoy, but also to know that we had to keep it movin!!! So, in all fairness, my review doesn't have a great deal of substance because of what happened. The restaurant was busy and looked understaffed. I would technically rate this place 3.5 stars. The location is right at the base of the mountain so it's a plus. They have really pretty fire pit tables outside but only give it to parties 5 and over. We (party of 2) requested for a fire pit table and was seated a different table outside. When we asked for a normal heater, they mentioned they ran out of heaters, but still had 2-3 fire pit tables open... Our waitress was very nice though! We got "the blacks" burger and a lobster roll with a side of coleslaw. Lot of lobster in the roll which I appreciated. My only complain was the roll it itself (just the bread part) was so tiny it barely held the lobster. I also wouldn't loved to see some light brown toast color on the exterior. Came here twice on our trip because we loved it so much! The Ned Flander's drink might genuinely be my favorite drink of all time - sweet espresso martini with a perfect toasted marshmallow. I dream of it still. The Short Rib Poutine and Fish and Chips are also great. Pizza is ok, not my favorite on the menu. See you on our next trip to Whistler! read more

Went to Black's Pub to celebrate my friend's birthday, I think it was the perfect spot to go because the atmosphere was so vibrant. Also a good spot if you're looking for a spot to unwind after a day on the slopes. They have a fireplace outside which looked super cozy but unfortunately, because of our big group size we couldn't get a spot there. We mostly had drinks there and some light appetizers. I was a big fan of their truffle fries - they were thin, crunchy and very garlicky! Also liked their poutine because it was loaded with cheese and it was spread across evenly so that every fry had a little bit of cheese. They also have a good selection of cocktails to try from. The service there was fast and I appreciated the big candle that came with my friend's birthday cake. I will say that the place gets pretty crowded on the weekend so it might be a good idea to get a reservation or be prepared to have a long wait time. read more

I went there with 12 other people for breakfast on Mon 3/2/26. It took a long time to be served. The classic breakfast of eggs and sausage was cold. I took one bite of the eggs and sausage and since it was so cold I did not have another one. Everyone else with me had the same complaint. They were able to eat their food but I was unable to take another bite as I figured I would have to gag the meal down. I am the guy that does not send food back. The food was left untouched and taken away by the server. There was no inquiry as to why all of the food was still on the plate less 1 bite. I paid the bill and will never return. My guess is being a vacation spot they don't rely on return customers. read more

It's right at base of Whistler by the first chair lift. We went there to watch UFC fights, and they changed it from a hockey game for us, which was cool. Service was super chill. Drinks and food were both on point. It doesn't get too crazy either, so it's a nice spot to hang after a long day of riding the mountain. read more

While staying at the superb Sundial Boutique Hotel, we decided to give Blacks a try; one of the restaurants located on the second floor. We entered around a regular lunch time but as the place is situated in a hotel it was fairly quiet so we could sit wherever we wished. We chose a beautiful patio seat under an umbrella on this hot day, and were quickly greeted by our server. He was friendly, attentive, polite, fun, and had an awesome Australian (?) accent. Friendly with a great smile, he was happy to serve. A shame we didn't catch his name .-. I ordered the lemonade (fresh squeezed!) with beef dip and poutine. The lemonade was delicious; a perfect mix of sour and sweet, with a smooth, clean finish. Truly fresh squeezed and you could taste it! One of the best I've had in a long time. The beef dip was delicious. Thick, juicy, roast beef (almost like pot roast) on a crispy baguette with crispy onions, dipped in the savoury, and delightful au jus? Superb! The 'poutine' however, didn't come- only fries. Which were delicious and seasoned with a blend that elevated them past your typical pub fries. Our delightful server noticed the kitchens mishap and removed the additional charge for the poutine, but overall I was pleased with the meal I did receive. I will definitely recommend Blacks Pub for a good, quick lunch on a hot day, for the view, atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, and delicious menu! read more

We decided to après-ski here on a Saturday, mostly because it was a convenient 100 meters from the bottom of the mountain. It was crowded, but we were able to squeeze our group onto a table and get served quickly. The drinks were standard and a bit pricey, but we expected this as a premium for the convenience and amazing view. Our group favorite was definitely the Irish coffee - the thick whipped cream really made the drink. We also got a host of appetizers, all fried and perfect for a post-ski meal. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out if you have several days in Whistler. If you only have one, you may want to pass and go directly to Longhorn, which is a bit more fun and memorable. read more

We asked to be seated on the second floor patio so we could have a better view of the mountain and gondola...I would recommend you do the same. We ordered BBQ Black's wings $20, Calamari $20, Mountain Burger $28. The wings were the best wings I've had in whistler and one of the best I've had in the past few years the burger was delicious too. The calamari was extra crispy but to be honest I didn't really like the sauce, I wish it came with a white sauce instead. Overall a great experience read more

What an awesome experience :) My girlfriend, friend, and I went here in search to be lit that night lol. The music is popping during the time we were walking on the village, so we decided might as well check it out. One of the best decision we made that night.. the rest was getting lit and buzzed out haha. The ambiance is pretty cool.. they have fire stations on the middle of their table to keep people warm cause you know it is Canada lol. The servers are friendly.. they are the true Canadian that are portraited to be nice.. it shows how they treat their customers. Their servers accommodated us throughout the night.. excellent service :) We ordered their ribs poutine cause its just must! The staple of Canadian food and it did not disappoint. That meat is just so tender and it melts in your mouth including its gravy sauce. The fries is hearty and worth grubbing when you're really hungry. We also ordered their white sauce pizza with halapenos and sausage, which is ok but really tasted good with the beer on the side. Their alcoholic beverages are off the hook tho! Just wow thats those are the drinks I don't mind getting buzzed on lol. I ordered their Chocolate flavored beer (I forgot the name.. but damn good). Unfortunately, they were out of stouts, but was not disappointed of this replacement. I'm actually glad I tried it! My girlfriend and friend ordered their Tequila 1942 infused drink, which is the bomb... I mean it is 1942 after all lol. A passable Apres / no-dinner-plan-today spot, but the food is basic pub food and the atmosphere, even when there is a DJ playing outside, is overshadowed, even sapped, by Longhorn Saloon which is located across the way. Both times that my group visited this pub, we encountered major service gaffes where we had to re-order drinks once the first time (at dinner) and twice the second time (at the tail end of aprés). Really fun for aperi ski. Line starts to form after folks get off the mountain and are ready for a beer and bites. Blacks has a great ambiance with tables outside and fire pits in the middle. I nearly cried over how mouth wateringly good the truffle fries were HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Our waitress was an absolute angel she is so kind and sweet. Everyone loved their drinks and we ate the spinach dip so fast. Best night ever!!! Love it here. Back to the truffle dip. I cleaned out the container with my finger and licked every last drop. Came here for dinner on the last night of our whistler trip. After a full day of riding on the slopes, we're pretty set on some poutine and pub food. We got seated right away outside under the heaters. The inside was full but it's to be expected on a Friday night. We were told that poutines gonna take an extra 10 min cause they're making the gravy so we put our order in right away. They have a pretty decent drink selection. I got the mulled wine (delicious!) and my friend had a beer. The music was great and I had a great time jamming while waiting for our food to come out. We ended up ordering the honey siracha wings and burgers for entre. The poutine with short ribs was delicious and the wings so crispy and flavorful! We stopped in for lunch last week, the village was dead so we were one of two tables at lunchtime. We ordered a pizza and fish n chips, with another pizza to-go for someone back at the room. The server was pleasant but service was a bit slow. The pizzas were well received, the crust especially tasty while fresh (not so much when reheated). The fish n chips were served hot. The fish was good, but could've had a bit more flavor. Unfortunately 2 of us were allowed to run out of water during the meal, which was disappointing as slow as they were. If I could give this establishment less than 1 Star I would. We had family visiting from out of town and went to Blacks Pub in Whistler. The hostess was incredibly rude. We wanted to sit on the patio and put two tables together as there were 5 of us. She said that wasn't possible even though they weren't busy. It was unfortunate because we had a very bad impression and family members commented on her attitude. We left after being seated. I think Black's Pub is great but they need to do better with the staff and who they hire. read more

The location and view is 5 star. Right at the bottom of the ski hill, multi level patios, but as they say, you can't just rely on your looks. Or maybe you can. Short ribs are one of my favorite dishes. I get them whenever they are on the menu. Today, I had Braised Short Rib - Braised bone-in short rib, mashed potato, mushrooms, broccolini and house made gravy at Black's Club. Hands down the best I have ever had. Part was the quality of the meat, part was that it was cooked to perfection - probably slow-cooked - with the meat falling off the bone, and finally, the gravy is fabulous. Thank you. read more

Pretty standard tourist restaurant. I thought it was pretty slow for a lunch hour on Saturday. The grilled chicken sandwich with bacon was pretty good, which comes with a side of fries. Fries were fresh and hot, great with the ketchup. I enjoyed the view from the 2nd floor patio. We were watching people come down the slopes on bikes. It was already warming up do I didn't get a chance to see many skiers and snowboarders. I noticed that nearly all of the servers are Australians. Not just here, at most of the places that I went to here at Whistler. They must be drawn to this place. :-) We were seated at a super unstable table. Nice place to go for beer. Great upstairs patios, which is ideal for the winter. Very close to the Gondola lift area and wonderful view. Wide selection of on tap beers. Got 4 flights for $10. We came here at 7am when Vale resorts cancelled fresh tracks due to "high wind". Everybody came here because it was one of the few places open early. It was busy as hell so that may have had impact on the food. Service was fine. Food was decent but nothing special. They could work on presentation too.
