The food was pretty good - nothing super special but definitely very well-executed comfort food and it was exactly what we were in the mood for. The tomatoes in my side salad were almost rotten. My wife ordered the the meat lovers sandwich with lemon chicken soup. Her sandwich was meat was dry and unfavorable. Her soup tasted weird. I was in Whistler for three days and somehow ended up at Stinky's every single one of them. Not a bad problem to have. It's tough to capture everything in a short review, but the short version: great food, great drinks, great vibes. First and foremost, get the boot warmer if you need to thaw out on a cold day, and don't skip the beef back shooter if you're up for it. The atmosphere is honestly one of the best in Whistler. Also, Cory and Edward deserve a shout out; Cory was running the bar like a pro, and Edward made sure everyone felt taken care of all night. Our first meal back in Whistler and glad we started with Stinky's. The vibe was great. The staff were nice and attentive. And the food was surprisingly tasty. My partner got a reuben which was good and a surprisingly excellent Caesar salad. My veggie tinga tacos were the hit. When a prominent feature of a taco is carrots and I find myself loving them and the rest of the concoction, you know it's a hit. Truly great to see a tasty and well executed vegetarian option. We walked into the restaurant and were kindly told to sit anywhere. We had a group of six, including three very large men, so we scooted two tables together. Keep in mind, the restaurant was completely empty. As we began to sit, one employee politely asked if we could use just one table. We explained that we'd prefer two, given our group size. That's when another man came over and, without a word, aggressively grabbed the second table and yanked it away; nearly hitting my wife with the table in the process. It was shockingly rude and completely uncalled for, especially considering we were about to place a large order. We left immediately. I've never experienced such hostility from restaurant staff. It seemed like it would be a good place to catch a game or enjoy the apres ski hours. Our group seemed to be the only out-of-towners. Stinky himself was behind the bar and was super friendly. But the real reason we came back was the food - the tacos and the Reuben and the French dip - all were fantastic. And do yourself a favor and get your tots pierogi style when you order a sandwich. Stinky's on the Stroll is not a new bar, but new to me. This place opened in 2019 right before the pandemic changed things forever. Stinky's, while on the Village Stroll in Whistler (tourist central), is more of a local's bar. We visited for some chill Aprés beverages and had a great time. Our waitress was super friendly and it was soon evident this is one of the friendliest bars in Whistler. Many of those that arrived knew the staff (and vice versa) and took up a stool at the bar. Stinky's has their own Lager on tap (brewed by Steamworks) in addition to some good Aprés beverage deals. They have a few things on their food menu but we weren't there to eat. We saw Poutine and a platter of tater tots go by. The walls are adorned with plenty of sports memorbilia and games are on TVs around the place, our waitress assured us they were big into sports. The music was 80s rock with some 70s thrown in. If you are looking for an intimate and low key Aprés in Whistler and enjoy some local flavor, stop by, I am sure you'll be able to quench your thirst and grab a bite, too. read more

The environment held a classic pub ambiance--cool ski equipment on the walls, etc. It's actually quite a small place, not a ton of seating indoors. I would say the food looked better than it tasted, unfortunately. I wanted the chili cheese tots, but I was told they ran out of chili. My family bought a couple Caesar's as well and they weren't the best I've had, not to mention, really expensive (we went to a different restaurant the next day and had a way better one that was cheaper). read more
