I just bought an older toyota RV that I am driving across the country. I took to Miles to have it checked out and spruced up. The service seemed great at first, but lingered on for what seemed to be an abnormal amount of time for what they had to do. They said the delay was because it had been raining, and they could not fit it in the bays, for it was too big. Yet when I went to go check up on the progress, it was there in the bay up on the lift. It was a blatant lie. Also, they had a rookie young guy who did not know what he was doing working on it because they were short staffed. So after almost three weeks of waiting, I finally got my RV back and began my journey. The rig ran fine except that I smelled oil really bad, and then this: I ran out of gas at only 130 Miles. This is a small compact RV that should get at least 15-20mpg. I finally arrived after a very expensive trip to Colorado and had my friend look at it and found this air filter in it. Shredded by some kind of rodent. See the picture below. THEY DIDN'T EVEN CHECK THE AIR FILTER! The simplest of things. We needed a mechanic right away so we brought it to Miles. Three others were backed up and could not get to it right away. Miles Auto fixed one thing on my car but caused three additional items that were working prior to them "fixing" my car to quit working. I then took it to another repair facility who pointed out some issues that he told me should have been taken care of according to the invoice I received. He also stated that my invoice from Miles was higher than it should be. I brought my vehicle back to Miles Auto and pointed out the items that the other service tech said they should have taken care of. He just said they didn't work on that part of my car and refused to make it right. I'm left with having to take it to another repair facility to fix their work and spend more money. And with the convenience of their payment methods paying for the work was a breeze. One thing they do that i respect is call backs to see how everything is going after the work was performed. Horrible... they had quoted me a price for a coolent system flush for around $60. They have a pre-winter special going for 79.99 that included checking your battery also but i had just wanted the coolent flush. I need a coolent flush because i put water in my coolent system like a dummy. i made them fully aware of what i did and why i needed a system flush. i dropped my vehicle off and returened to work to get a call a few hours later stating that it would cost $159.99 to flush the full system. the quote he gave me was to just drain and refill my radiator not flush they system.(even though i had explained why i needed it and he was on board). In addition, the price i was quoted did not include the price of fluid( why quote part of the price?). I ended up calling another local place and got what i needed done for $84.99 plus tax out the door. They withheld information until i was at work without a vehicle to pressure me into additional cost. poor business tactics if you ask me. I will never do business with this place again. glad i ended up saving about $75 read more
