After years of doctors ignoring my symptoms and not caring to inquire further or listen to me, I…read morefound Dr. Robinson. In our first appointment I had a lot to tell her-- she listened intently, asked follow up questions, seemed to genuinely care about my gastrointestinal issues. She ordered some tests that I hadn't even known existed because no other doctor had ever bothered to do their due diligence. Dr. Robinson bothered to do her due diligence and it turned out there was a big issue!! I had a minor surgical procedure shortly after with her. She knew I was nervous, so she came to visit me while I was being prepped. She sat down and discussed the procedure with me, asked if I had any questions, and was patient and kind about how nervous I was. The procedure went well and she made a life changing diagnosis. She then made sure to attend to all my questions-- she made the time for me between appointments to discuss my results, answer questions, give me information. She really seems to care. Also, each time she's prescribed something to me, she's discussed the medication with me and given me ample information about the medication so that I could make an informed decision and have true informed consent. Dr. Robinson is willing to endure a lot of talking and questions from patients in order to provide peace of mind, education about your condition, and do her due diligence. Especially as a female patient it is so difficult to find a doctor of any gender who treats a female patient like this. I can't recommend her enough.

I went in for what was supposed to be a routine diagnostic colonoscopy. Twenty centimeters into the…read moreprocedure, my colon was perforated. After the procedure, I was told a "tear" had been found (either due to cancer, diviculitis, or hereditary conditions) and that I was being sent to the ER "to err on the side of caution." At the hospital, imaging confirmed a full perforation that occurred during the colonoscopy. (Moreover, if a tear had been pre-existing I would have known and had all symptoms associated with it, including possible sepsis.) The ER confirmed here were no underlying conditions such as cancer or diverticulitis that would have explained a spontaneous rupture. I was taken into high-risk emergency surgery and am still recovering more than six weeks later. Since then, I have had multiple ER visits due to complications and am facing the possibility of additional surgery. Complications can happen in medicine. What has been deeply troubling is the way the Dr. Robinson lied. The initial explanation did not match what was later documented and confirmed in the ER. As a patient, when something serious happens, honesty is essential. This experience has had significant physical, emotional, and ongoing medical consequences. I share this so others can make informed decisions on whether to undertake care under Dr. Robinson.
