LOL are you for real? 12 bucks for literally a scoop of soup? 2 questions 1- who is the chef thinking they're cool putting pesto oil into the bland mushroom soup (if you can even call it that) you totally ruined it by adding it in it takes over the taste, if there was any to begin with, all I taste is...pesto! 2- why are you charging an outrageous amount for a scoop of soup that is literally the definition of gross I hardly give one star reviews, I even ordered from this location not to long ago, but this draws the line. I don't often give a five star review but wow - Milestone's blew me away! From the minute we walked in the door everything was fantastic. The hostess was very friendly and pointed out the restrooms as she walked us to our table. She then gave us the menus and told us our servers name. Our server promptly arrived and introduced herself and took our drink orders. She was polite and friendly and was very attentive during our meal. We never had to ask for drink refills and she checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok and we didn't need anything else. The manager also stopped by to fill up our glasses and ask how everything was. In terms of Covid and the current conditions they did a great job. All staff were wearing masks and there were arrows on the floor clearly showing directions for moving about the restaurant. The bathrooms were very clean and there were hand washing and sanitising stations throughout the restaurant. We ordered two appetisers and then split a main meal. The food arrived quickly and was plated beautifully. The highlight of the meal was the goats cheese platter. Every single element worked beautifully together and it was so delicious! The servings are huge and easily worth the price. The bruschetta was fresh and tasty and the club sandwich was the perfect end to a wonderful meal. Not sure why the average stars are so low because Milestone's has quickly become one of my new favourite spots!! We will definitely be dining here again while we are in town. We had Roasted Garlic Caesar Salad $11.25, Butternut Squash Ravioli $21.50, Portobello Mushroom Chicken $24.25, Stella Beer $7, lemonade $9, Coffee $3.50, a slice of Garlic bread $1. They gave me a free Birthday dessert of my choice - I took their recommendation, "Show stopper" cake :) Getting charged $1 for a slice of garlic bread was questionable, and lemonade was so so, but Butternut Ravioli and Portobello Mushroom Chicken both tasted delicious!!! My sister and I had dinner there last night out on the Patio. Nice. Service was good too. Unfortunately the food was not good. I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken - sounded good with feta cheese, chick peas, and veggies. The chicken was overcooked and the feta cheese was not goat feta (cow feta I think my sister said) and wasn't crumbled, it was more like cream cheese melted over the chicken pieces. The chick peas were okay, nice because I hadn't had any in a long while, but bland. And the veggies weren't lightly cooked but a kind of mashed up combo of overcooked spinach (or was it kale?), onion and yellow pepper. My sister ordered two starters: sweet chili chicken bites and crispy brussel sprouts. both were below par. Sprouts weren't really crispy, although thankfully not over-cooked. The sweet chili chicken bites, despite their name, had no 'bite' and, as with my dish, chicken was not tender. I cut them some slack because I understand the difficult conditions getting staff etc. Their menu is a lot smaller than it used to be but our encounters with the service staff indicate they've managed to keep or hire some good ones. read more

I didn't feel like pub grub or fast food for supper tonight so went to Milestones since it was near my hotel. It wasn't overly busy yet I had to wait awhile until someone brought me a menu and took my drink order. I was at a table for two and the other side of the table was dirty ... someone must have had a glass of red wine before me. My server, though nice, didn't clean it ... I guess he didn't notice. Since it was on the other side of the table, I let it go. Looking at the menu, the prime rib caught my eye. I passed on the veggies so they gave me extra garlic mashed potatoes. The steak was good but really fatty. I know prime rib is supposed to have some fat but about a third of it was big fatty fat (covered by au jus) that I cut off and pushed to the side. My server dropped off a steak knife and a couple forks and knife wrapped in a napkin. The knife had something green and dried up on it. Yuck! I didn't need it to put it on the other side of the table, on top of the wine stains. I gave the rest of my cutlery a good cleaning. As I was eating, not once did my server come over to see how everything was. When I was finished, my plate sat on the table for a while before he came and took it away. I pointed out the crusty knife and he came back with a coupon for free appetizers ... which can only be used in Kelowna. So not a great experience. Given the calibre of Milestones, I'm surprised at the lack of service, crusty silverware and fatty prime rib. read more

The French onion soup was kinda salty if you just only drink the soup, but the topping cheese and the breads made it more tasty. The steak and frites was not bad. It tasted better than the sirloin steak I had at the Milestones in coquitlam. The stead was a little burned. I ordered medium though. Fries was fine with some Parmesan cheese. We went there around 8:30. It wasn't busy at all with lots of seat available. 8:3pm is their happy hour. This Milestones does not have many appetizers like the Coquitlam one. read more

I've been brewing on this review for a bit now. I was hesitant to jump straight into reviews with one so negative. But after 2 straight *awful* experiences, it has to be said. First experience was 3-4 wks ago. Sat in bar. Table next to us had been having issues and was complaining to same waitress as we had. 15min to be greeted at table. Drinks came after appetizer but had been sitting on bar for at least 15 min while waitress goofed around talking to other staff). Had to use napkin under the bowl (delicious mushroom soup) as no cutlery provided. Ordered second drinks that again sat for 10+ min on bar, food came (was perfect) but still no cutlery. Finally got up to ask another server so we could eat. Yet another server finally checked the bar for who the drinks belonged to and brought them to us. Waitress came to table total of 3 times - all other runners and servers assisted us. Then last week we were invited to dinner in a group of 12 people for an event - reservation made well in advance. Took 3hrs for total service. Server was incredibly disorganized in taking our orders...would wait long stretches between asking us re: drinks/appies/food etc. we had to ask twice to order (the first time she said she would be right back - We had to ask again 15min later) Drinks took almost 30min, appetizers came out 10min apart from each other and one item had been run out of. 2 plates of food came out absolutely inedible after waiting almost 2hrs for the food and 3 other meals were not sent back but should have been- buns were soggy on one side, stale and falling apart on the other, burger burned and cold. Surf side salads had burned prawns and were not at all up to standard (this is what my friend and I always order), another stale bun (but he didn't send his back because he was starving). Requested ice cream for the one child. At this point we had finished long since but she had been promised ice cream. Asked again after 30min - waitress had forgotten to ring it in. Waited another 15min for the ice cream. While we know that there is an automatic gratuity added for groups - the server seemed too proud to make sure that the host of the gathering remembered this as she went to pay the bill. It was commented on, several times, that it is pretty Easy to neglect a large table when you know you are guaranteed a gratuity. While food was good in first experience but service was incredibly poor - both service and food were ABYSMAL the second time (Wed Jun 15, 6pm reservation). While we can respect that there are staffing shortages - this is happening across the board in Kelowna. While there have been blips here and there (we eat out very often) - this takes the cake over my entire 6yrs of living in Kelowna. There are too many GREAT restaurants in Kelowna to waste it without a drink in your hand, enjoying your experience in one of our fine establishments. read more

The server never came back to confirm and I was not served plain wings. My table also ordered calamari which was over salted. I was disappointed with our latest visit to this location. We've eaten here a few times in the past for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but this time it was all off. We were looking for a nicer place with a quality menu, and were quite surprised when we walked in and it was not as it used to be. Everyone was in jeans and odd fake denim shirts, compared to the traditional black, almost casual-business attire that we have come to expect with similar restaurants. My husband had pasta and I had a steak, but both were underwhelming and not worth the cost. The steak was good, and I wasn't expecting steakhouse quality, but I've had similar steak from Denny's. Our server only came by once outside of taking our orders, we were never offered refills, and another server ended up coming to check on us. If it was busy it would be understandable, but the only server that appeared to have multiple tables was the one who was the most attentive; I wish we had been in her section. It should also be noted that who we assumed the manager was (based on her difference in attire), seemed to be more interested in the host who sat us rather than noticing the lack of quality that was presented. While this could be limited time thing for a promotion or perhaps a re-brand, we were both disappointed in the drastic change of quality compared to our previous visits. It felt more like a no-name local restaurant than something we used to compare to Moxies, Earls, and Cactus Club. read more

The food and service are usually quite good, but do take care to check things out before you eat. This last time that we went (today, in fact), the lettuce on our burgers appeared to not have been washed at all -- the dirt from the fields was still clearly visible on the lettuce. And having come from the service industry herself, my wife was significantly worried - if something as simple as cleaning produce was not properly done, how far have the staff slipped in other things; say, cleaning their hands after going to the washroom? When we brought this to the attention of the manager (Ian, I believe), he immediately offered to replace our burgers. Since we had not yet put the lettuce on our burgers, we felt comfortable in declining (we just ate our burgers without lettuce). He took the lettuce to show the staff in the back, and surreptitiously gave us an additional surprise - when it came time for our bill, he had zeroed out the bill entirely, food drinks and all! This alone significantly ameliorated the incident, and made us much more likely to return to this restaurant in the near future. In conclusion, I would like to point out that the flavour and quality of the food at this restaurant is, in most cases, above par. To wit, I come here specifically for the four-cheese burger, which is absolutely divine and has no peer at any other restaurant in Kelowna. However, do take care to examine your food, and avoid tucking in until you're sure it is to your satisfaction. read more

After a 20 minute wait we were seated in a large dining area, somewhat like of a community hall. Our server arrived promptly and brought us drinks. About 40 minutes after placing our food order someone from management came by and explained the restaurant was having computer problems and orders were delayed. 5 minutes later our waitress, (rather grumpy by now) delivered our food. She had probably been receiving heat from impatient patrons. Very disappointing food and slow service. We got 2 appetizers. The bruschetta was average and the fried cauliflower was tasteless. We had 3 different meals (Cajun shrimp, cod, and the veggie burger). Everyone was dissatisfied with the taste and flavors. The veggie burger was burned and barely edible. The cocktails were also awful. The old fashioned had slices of lemon and lemon juice in it and wasn't drinkable. My dad ordered a kettle one martini with a twist and it came as vodka with lime juice squeezed into the martini. The design of the place is unique and spacious for Milestones; a newer concept restaurant. We went because it's one of the few dining establishments open after 9 pm on a Saturday night (Milestones stays open till 11). The location is a mall parking lot. That's too bad. The food: it's good! We were on our way to Sparkling Resort and wanted to eat somewhere nice, this place caught our eye because the outside looked really nice and new. We came in at 3 and there were barely any people there. We ordered food and waited very long for our food, our apps were brought out and they were decent. We had both fries and the calamari. Fries were ok but the calamari was on the mushy side. The truffle aioli dipping sauce for the fries was def my fave. My main dish was one of the thai bowls with the peanut sauce. Would def be better with more of the sauce. Also they messed up our order and we had to wait forever for the main food, but our waiter was super nice and gave us complimentary chips and salsa. Salsa was fresh and great, besides the killer breath u get after. Since they took so long with our order they gave us coffee and dessert on the house, was very nice of them to recognize mistake and try to make things better. Staff was very friendly, only big downside was how long we had to wait for the food. Also my friend Igor said he had the best caesar salad ever! read more

I have eaten at this location twice and have had excellent service & food both times. The baked goat cheese, fig/cranberry & slow roasted garlic on flat bread was a wonderful appetizer. As is the hot spinach & artichoke dip. I have had spin/artichoke dip at restaurants big/small all over canada and this is still my favorite. I also highly recommend the grilled seafood salad. I don't really understand the ambiance or music selection here. It was really hard rock, mid afternoon then a selection of various other dissimilar music, and everything kind of looked shabby? Not much for environment. I think Cactus takes the cake in that department, then Earls and Joey's. My salad was pretty good. Slightly over priced for some greens and a quarter breast of seasoned chicken. ($20.00) and it seemed a good comparison to the side portion of Salad that Cactus club offers for $10. Just an observation. In any case it was close to where my next meeting was so it worked out. If I was looking for ambiance I could have driven another 5 mins to Cactus. read more

During the 20 minute wait to get a table, my friend and I were invited to enjoy the lounge/bar where I enjoyed an also surprisingly good drink called Pim's #1. A drink that is both complex and sweet without the sugary quality that often comes with sweet drinks. With a table eventually opening up, our meals were ordered and eventually arrived. I had the sirloin steak with mashed potatoes. A good piece of meat cooked well. While stating they are not the sort of place that does anything for one's birthday, they were kind enough to surprise me with a desert. Place looks cute from outside and is nicely decorated inside. That's pretty much the best thing about it. No one was in sight for about 5 min or more when we entered around 4pm. Our food took forever to come (over half hour) and they forgot half the order! I ordered their spicy basil Thai dish, which is apparently the most popular, and it was not very good. Husband ordered sprite and got soda water, which was fixed after his request. The waiter was apologetic but a bit dismissive. Not only did they not reimburse us for the order they forgot, and we had to wait an hour for, they offered us complimentary dessert that was still on the bill for us when the check came (seriously?!) They eventually took it off. It would be safe to say we are not coming back and the restaurant can use some fine tuning on their hospitality and menu items. What a bummer read more

Also appreciate that the female servers are well-dressed, not in short skirts with cleavage hanging out. Went in on a Saturday night and the place was very quiet. Ordered the fried cauliflower appetizer and it was really bland (dipping sauce was good, though), the creole shrimp entree was so-so. The 'mac and cheese' from the kids' menu was also uneaten. Server was nice enough, but never came back to the table after the food came to check for drinks.
