I love coffee, so I had to try Milk & Honey! I'm writing this review based only on the coffee, service, and decor because I arrived really early, and the pastries were still being put out. I ordered a large iced oat milk latte, and it was good. The iced latte was exactly what I was hoping for. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and made my drink quickly. I enjoyed the decor. It has a comfortable atmosphere, and I can definitely see myself coming back, grabbing a coffee, trying some of the food, and staying awhile to get some work done. I love the OG Milk & Honey so decided to try the new spot in Bay Ridge. Decor here is super cute, modern fresh vibes. We were able to find a seat right away, you chose your own seat and order at the counter like the OG spot. When asking for their speciality drinks they were out of almost every ingredient, but they did allow me to create my own speciality drink. I got the Buddha bowl which was amazing!! I've been to this place so many times and finally decided to do a review. This is such a great establishment and the food and drinks are great. I tried the vanilla caramel matcha and it was a great. I ordered it with regular milk and it was nice and smooth. It could've used a little more caramel, but overall, it was a good drink. I ordered the milk bee honey omelet for my entree and I was pleasantly surprised. The goat cheese was nice and tangy and definitely enhanced the overall flavor of the dish. The vegetables were fresh and the eggs were nicely seasoned. The potatoes were seasoned wonderfully and were so good! The blueberry pancakes were okay, but they were dry. They honestly didn't have enough syrup so the flavor was lacking. We requested more on the side and that definitely helped the taste. read more

It's unfathomable how Milk & Honey doesn't have a higher rating, for the quality of the food, its aesthetics and presentation, as well as service and ambiance were all top-notched! The latte was deliciously intense, suggesting the usage of high quality beans and appropriate preparation. The foods were all pretty large portions with very fresh ingredients, all of which were also decently priced for both its quantity and quality. The seating area was comfortable and spacious enough for people to navigate with ease. The interior design was warm with lots of natural light, providing a welcoming and picturesque vibe. I ordered the flatbread and it was jam packed with flavor and perfectly baked with a crispy outer layer and chewy interior! My family also enjoyed their dish and we all devoured every bite of it. There are so many options to choose from so I feel like everyone can get something from here. I wish I took more pictures. Their grilled chicken salads and sandwiches at so well made. Very confused as to why the reviews for this place are so low! My gal pal and I thoroughly enjoyed our brunch date here this past Saturday on a rainy early afternoon. The staff were really nice and we were seated much more quickly than expected since a nice patron offered us her table and she finished her iced matcha elsewhere. The vibe here is very laid back, comfortable, and chill with lots of earthly tones and wood throughout the space. This place has an "open kitchen" concept where you get up and order your food at the counter in the back and then they give you a number for your table. The food does take some time, so if you're in a hurry, I wouldn't recommend coming here. We had nowhere else to be, besides in each other's company, so we didn't stress about the wait nor notice the time from ordering to receiving our food. I got the hot milk and honey matcha and my friend got the iced. We split the chicken flatbread and I got their brunch burger ($20). I noticed that some other Yelpers complained about the pricing, but listen - going out to eat now is more of a luxury than ever - this place is well worth it! My matcha was not only beautiful, but delicious! My brunch burger was a bit more brioche bun than burger, but very tasty with the most non-oily crispy fries I've ever experienced! This is really great fresh, quality ingredients that are presented beautifully and proudly. I really couldn't get enough of the flatbread and will have to see their other options the next time I visit. The food is okay and that's the only reason I'm rating it a two, otherwise, the seating is extremely uncomfortable, the place is always dirty and messy, and the service is average for the money you pay. The last time I was here I got avocado toast and it was $18... for a piece of toast, with avocado and seasoning's... cmon make it make sense. Today I ordered a black tea and the "berries with yogurt and granola". Strike one was the handmade tea bag with very little flavor. Strike two was the sour currents in my yogurt. I was curious as the restaurant is relatively new to Bay Ridge and appeared to usually be busy. I would classify this place as more of a breakfast, brunch, lunch spot. The food is very good although the one negative I need to get out of the way is that I was turned off by having to wait and place my food order at the counter. Then a server will deliver it to you. It's also inconvenient if you are sitting anywhere near the counter when there are lines. You will have people standing over you, breathing on you and eying your food. Once you get past that it was a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly, the restaurant has a nice vibe, and they do have a good variety of dishes. Whether you want eggs. salads, sandwiches, healthy bowls, French toast, flatbreads, coffee, tea, or sweets they have a good selection. We had the Mexican Fiesta:This consists of a breakfast burrito filled with avocado, turkey bacon, black beans, scrambled eggs, cheese, salsa verde, and jalapeno peppers. We also had the Avocado Grilled Chicken wrap. It has Turkey bacon, avocado, swiss cheese, herbal mayo, sliced tomato, and arugula wrapped in a homemade lavash (wrap). I was absolutely starving. Where I was directed to grab food, didn't see anything that interested me so I asked Siri and she listed this restaurant. The pull was that it was listed as Southern cuisine. Imagine my surprise when there was no southern but by this time I was ravenous. I was offered a menu and Thank God because the choices weren't really clear. After viewing the menu I chose lamb filled ravioli and chicken Alfredo. I had to wait for my food... not to long. When I got said food, I was to hungry and decided to eat my food which was the ravioli. I was a bit disappointed at the amount that I received versus the cost. I expected it to a little heartier and it wasn't. I was starving so I scarfed it down. The bread was good and helped fill me up. For the price point, I actually expected a salad too. The fettuccine was for someone else and the packaging used was not good. I am all for biodegradable and safe for the environment but the packaging selected as horrible. It was falling apart. The fettuccine wasn't bad. The lamb ravioli felt like it was missing something. Maybe some sauce rather than broth. The cafe itself is very nice. Nice ambiance. Everything was spot on today! Service was efficient and pleasant. Ambiance was the usual trendy cafe. I tried something new for brunch. I tried the 3 eggs in Hell. 3 eggs over this yummy zucchini, tomato, spinach stew served in a hot cast iron skillet. I was craving avocado toast and this place came to mind. I have been avoiding this place because it is so busy and a little overpriced. I wanted to give it a second chance. The employees are very polite and kind. At first, I sat down inside. It was very loud and the noise echoes. (Of note I went at 12:30 pm on a Wednesday, which was surprising it was so busy but someone said There was a graduation nearby) As soon as I saw a seat outside, I grabbed it. We stopped by for Sunday brunch in the neighborhood and we were hungry girls but literally blown away by the food here. We've tried the other Brooklyn location too and it was good but this one was absolutely delicious! It's a cute brand new cafe that looked like it just opened and I love that it's self-serve so you can order at the counter when you're ready and they bring the food to you. We got a creme brûlée French toast and pastrami stack sandwich with a chai latte and Brazilian matcha (I think this was what it's called but it had lime in it which made the drink very refreshing). Everything was amazing - we finished every bite and drop, nothing was spared. The service was a little slow to bring our drinks and food out but I'll give them some grace as it was prime brunch time. Honestly I keep coming here hoping the food has improved and each time I leave disappointed. I love the Ambaince but the service is so slow and terrible. We ordered the shakshuka and milk honey omelette. The shakshuka was terrible and lacked flavor. Felt like they just threw canned tomatoes and onions together and forgot to add seasoning. They poached the eggs separately and just "served in a cast iron skillet". In real shakshuka you cook the eggs in the shakshuka. I'm not sure why say it's in cast iron skillet when it's not even cooked in there. My milk honey omelette was overcooked and just not worth it. $20 for small pieces of bacon, and tiny bit of goat cheese. I would not recommend coming here for the items above. It's a cute place for coffee and pastries but I'd skip the real food and find another spot. read more

I have become a total regular at this place coming over from Staten Island. This is the first stop if you looking for something "Brooklyny" in terms of food quality and design. Everything I've had is excellent from the coffees to the very interesting menu. I've stuck with the middle-eastern leaning fare and everything has been incredible. I love their big poofed pita! Prices are not cheap but portions are big and well ... nothing is cheap nowadays. I don't get the others complaints. Maybe they expect a more old school vibe but this is a place changing the neighborhood for the better. The only thing negative I have to say is the oddly designed tables have monster 'legs' that block you from putting your legs under and I've actually hit my knees against them multiple times. Management can use some training- we returned a dish due to health reasons and the dish brought out didn't reflect the menu. We came here because we wanted to support Muslim businesses - first time here and it seemed like there was a difference in treatment when it came to hijabis. Since it was really oily and they gave us a hard time about wanting a replacement dish but eventually gave us this avocado toast and refused to give us eggs even though our dish was $19 and this toast is $16. The manager himself actually made it a huge ordeal when we explained why we can't have this meal. It's very unfortunate and we won't be returning here. I had the cheeseburger the other day. It was okay but fell apart quickly. Nothing special. What I didnt like was that it was 19 dollars for a regular cheeseburger with mushrooms. And then I ordered a side of fries and it was almost 8 dollars. I was very shocked the first time I tasted there avocado chicken "pizza bread". We tried their lychee strawberry smoothie, avocado chicken pizza bread, and their salad. Like everywhere their salad was standard I was not very fond with the salad and what came with it. The avocado pizza and the drink were fantastic however. The pizza was nicely spread with it's ingredients a nice hearty meal. The lychee drink was refreshing on an extremely hot day. The service is okay. It is nothing out of this world just standard. On busy days it gets pretty crowded in there because of the limited seats inside. There are seats outside but on a hot day it's not nice to sit outside. The ambiance inside is nice. Tried to get brunch here today. They have a unique system whereby you get up and make your order at the counter, and the waiter brings it over when it's ready. There were only a few tables available in the front when we got in, so we picked one and then stood on the line to order. While by the counter, we noticed an open table and asked the guy that had originally seated us if we could have it. He said yes, and since we were further into the building where it was warm enough to take off my coat, I put it on the chair at the table. Then this girl on the line in front of us told one of the waitresses that she had been sitting at the empty table, thereby forcing us to move. We left without ordering anything because I'm not supporting a business with no systems in place for table assignments-- there was no proof the girl had ever been sitting at the table and in fact I had seen her go back and forth to another table with an older woman sitting at it. And we had already been told by the other waiter that it was ok to sit there-- it's not like we had just put our stuff down and randomly claimed it. Where's the proof that the girl ever was actually sitting at the table? They need to establish better systems, we didn't stay because I was too agitated to eat. read more
