Came here with friends to check it out for the first time. Had a great time with the tastings and conversation. The very friendly Taylor was more than helpful and made various suggestions as to what to try. She made the Smoked Old Fashioned with ease (see my videos!) and my friends said they were excellent. You also get to keep the glasses they come in which have engraving on them. I went with the try six and they had seven to try so I gave up the gin. Tried a vodka, rum, two whiskey, and two honey liquors. Half ounce pours each. Realized I'm just not a whiskey guy but one was super smooth. I did like the honey ones, though. After my set of six, I ended up getting a vodka mixed drink and also got a four-pack of of a vodka canned cocktail which is new for them this year, and they decided to go non-carbonated. I would have preferred it to be carbonated but you can just add seltzer. The place seats a couple dozen and they are included on a lot of bus/trolley tours (a lot of bridesmaids parties) so at times it can get loud and busy. If you are under the influence you will not be served. They have t-shirts, hoodies, glassware, and even sell some pieces of the barrels so you can make your own smoked drinks. I ended up spending about $50 for my tasting flight, cocktail, and a t-shirt. I wished they were allowed to sell some small bite foods. It would make this place even better. Prior to arriving to our Airbnb in the Poconos, we made a stop here. The exterior was unassuming as the parking lot was very small. The interior was spacious with a back door that led to their outside seating. There is no food on the menu. The drink menu was extensive from tastings to slushies to cocktails. I enjoyed my peach whiskey sour though it was on the sweeter side. The 5/5 is mostly for the service. Kudos to the lovely woman who really ensured that we were comfortable in the back! read more

Great service! We were greeted by all the Staff and owners. The inside was getting crowded and we wanted to listen to the music so we sat outside. I had a tasting of 4 small cups. My fav was the honey flavored whiskey. Husband got a mojito that was mostly ice so it was consumed very fast! They had a food truck and we had already eaten lunch so we just got some pretzel nuggets and a churro. Both were good. The music was great and it was nice outside! Love the place and the drinks! Almost all of the bartenders are super friendly and helpful. The person who refers to himself as the manager is the least friendly of the staff. We were there recently, when he was working. He served our drinks in plastic cups. I haven't enjoyed a cocktail and a plastic cup since I was in college. It may sound strange, but it does change the experience of going out for a relaxing evening. When we asked if we could have glasses, he basically made fun of us. I don't mind $15 drinks but please be classy enough to put it in a glass! Still giving five stars because every other time i've loved the place. read more

Absolutely loved this place... from the liquors (great tasting!), to the ambiance, to the bartenders - everything was top notch. We are a bourbon family and they did not disappoint on any of their dark liquors. We also tried the vodka and gin - both were excellent (despite us not really drinking either on a regular basis). The unique location in the airplane hangar was what attracted me to Silverback Distillery. The tasting room is very attractive and the staff is friendly and eager to please. We visited on a Friday afternoon and there was a food cart/truck parked in front. I'm not sure how often it's there or how long it stays there. I tasted three beverages. My favorite was the Honey Rye, which is really sweet. Even though I am a bourbon drinker, I did not care for their bourbon. I also didn't care for the sour mash; it's the first time I tasted sour mash. read more

It's at a very odd location- we thought it was the wrong address! However, it's a cool open atmosphere inside. Really nice employees. For COVID restrictions they give you a free hot dog and a bag of chips! We enjoy their gin and vodka especially in fun cocktails. We first had their gin in Virginia where their other location is. I felt the tasting was a little expensive. Overall we had fun checking out something new for us in this area! read more

My husband and I both enjoyed our trip to this distillery. They do mixed drink flights! I haven't seen anyone do that before. I got a lot of the fall mixed drinks which were very sweet I guess to be expected. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. You should definitely stop and check them out. read more

A nice little gem in the mountains. We were in town visiting from FL and NYC, and really enjoyed this distillery. JC is a great server, full of character, and as friendly as can be! Met with host J.C., from 1st contact totally down to earth gentleman, gave a great tour, full of facts and encouraged questions. Gave us the full rundown of the company from its inception. We discovered this place on our last visit to the Poconos. I'm so happy we did! I believe Silverback Distillery is relatively new. It is located in a new building with plenty of space and parking. On a Monday, when we were there, it was empty. (It did fill up a little as time went on) There is a large selection of spirits and cocktails to choose from. I decided to do a flight of 7 spirits. F settled on a gin cocktail. All their spirits are quality, but the straight bourbon, which won an award for best Bourbon in a NOLA competition, was THE best Bourbon I have ever had! So smooooth! I would have purchased a bottle, but wasn't prepared to pay the $50+ price at that time. But, I will be back. We did buy a bottle of the Strange Monkey gin which at $18. was a bargain. You can also do a cocktail tasting, which I think is a fabulous idea! The service was stellar. Our barman was very attentive and informed. We would have been back again if they weren't closed and we weren't going home. I'm looking forward to making Silverback Distillery a consistent stop whenever we are in the area. read more

We stopped here last weekend. Nice little place. The staff is great very knowledgeable and excellent service I tried a sampling and had one of the s'mores cocktails we really enjoyed. Honestly I only really liked the honey rye, but if you enjoy distilleries make sure you give this place a try. read more

Enjoyed the spirits. Got a few tastings when A distillery tour group came in and they understandably took care of them. They let us know they would get back to us but never did. Our group had plans to get a couple smoked old fashioned drinks, some other drinks and a couple fifths to go. They lost those sales by forgetting us after the group left. read more

Plus a souvenir glass to take home, score! 2. Located next to a small airport! Made an impulsive trip to Silverback Distillery today after seeing an ad on Facebook and so glad we did!! The space is very inviting and comfortable and the staff welcomes you warmly. They offer a nice range of delicious, quality spirits which you can taste straight or mixed in a great selection of cocktails, in various sizes or as flights. The Bourbon is delicious and smooth and the Honey Rye Whiskey is incredible! Abby was a wealth of information, teaching us so much about the spirits themselves and the distillation process. WOW! Thank you so much to Abby and all the staff who worked our rehearsal dinner party on Thursday October 10. Being from out of town, we looked into a few spots where we could comfortably host ~40 people without the price tag of your typical stuffy sit-down rehearsal dinner. It was important for us to be able to bring in any food we wanted prepared by family or have it catered in. We felt like we hit the lotto having our rehearsal here! We are a very laid back couple who enjoy the outdoors and live music. We were able to create our own Spotify playlist, share it with Abby and have that be the soundtrack to our evening. The cocktails were incredible, the staff was so friendly, and Abby is truly an all-star at ensuring we always had a drink in our hand and were enjoying ourselves. We hired Twinning BBQ (https://www.facebook.com/TwinningBBQ/) to feed all of us. This twin-brother and wives run business made our lives even easier, as they handled all set up and supplied all plates, forks, napkins.
