Nice little place in the middle outskirts of the city. Quiet dessert place playing really mellow music where you can have a great conversation. The cashier/owner was really nice but kinda quiet, we complimented her on all the great decor inside the business. Will def come back and try more flavors, the shave ice is delicious and soft. My daughter's tea was mellow but also delicious.

A delicious and unique take on Hawaiian shave ice with boba drinks inspired flavors and kawaii decor! We stopped by Milky Way on the first day of our trip to Oahu after finding it online. This spot is known for its milk tea shave ice with brown sugar syrup and boba toppings, which is exactly what I ordered and it was so delicious! My daughter got the regular milk tea with boba, pretty much the same flavors without being in shave ice form. I preferred the shave ice version as it contrasted with the warm squishy boba toppings. My husband reeeeeally loved the shave ice that he shared with me and we were excited to go back again a couple of days after but found out they are closed on the weekend. There are Bible scriptures and quotes on the walls tying into the milk and honey theme which we also appreciated. The service was friendly and our order came out quick. The parking is limited in this plaza but we found a few open spaces. We will be back before our trip ends!

Refreshing drinks and beverages in Kalihi, Honolulu, Hawaii... My friends and I had lunch nearby, so, we decided to visit this relatively new shop. I've been to the Milky Way Food Truck in Kaka'ako and am so happy for them that they have a Brick and Mortar location now! I saw and read that my friend, Irene, went here. I made it a point to go to Milky Way's new store! Parking is shared with San Nicholas (the chicharon and sausage place). The parking stalls are labeled with the business' names, so, be careful of where you park. (I actually parked at the church down the street - I was quick!) Inside, Milky Way has cute decor, indoor dining, and fantastic air conditioning! Service was efficient and polite. I got the Winter melon Tea (non-dairy) with Rainbow Jelly. It was perfect - not too sweet and not too watery, but just right! I'll be back because they have a Loyalty system! Just enter your phone number onto the tablet! Enjoy!

HappTEAness is when they have your favorite tea! You can't miss and resist their vibrant and fun artsy truck in Kaka'ako and when they found a permanent home in Kalihi you know I was so excited knowing I'm able to get my fix at my schedule. Yes it's in Kalihi hiding right behind San Nicolas and there are a few parkings though many are reserved by the specific business on this visit it was quite challenging to find the right one and the uneven pavement has me weaving to my destination. Walking in I did like the vibe here with the fun neon "Milky Way" sign surrounded by clouds and though the decor is simple each corner had it's own little sitting nook to enjoy your sip or get some work done. Their menu is what really makes them special with from basic tea of black, green and my favorite "Winter Melon", then it's their Snowthie which is their smoothie topped with shaved ice which they also have a Snow Tea where instead of smoothie it's with Tea. Another fun item is their Snow Ice and they build it like a boba drink where my favorite is the Pineapple Snow Ice though on this day I was just mad craving for my favorite Winter Melon tea which was absolutely yummy!!! Topping it all over is yup their toppings...all at .50 is a bargain... - Amber Boba - Pudding - Grass Jelly - Lychee Jelly - Lemon Jelly - Rainbow Jelly - Coffee Jelly - Agar All choices I absolutely LOVE which is pretty unusual and having my tea I couldn't resist having it with Lemon Jelly...why not I do love lemon with my tea lol! The lemon was very subtle but didn't take any tea flavor way in fact was just so refreshing it may be my new favorite way to enjoy my sip!! Milky Way thank you for my favorite sip you're simply tearrific it got me to slow down and just enjoy my personal time and that's positivitea! Thank you!

I must say that I this is one of my top favorite boba shops. I rave about them to all of my friends and family and have been telling them that they need to try it. This was my third or fourth time time here and was so excited about it. Upon entering, there were two other customers waiting for their order. We waited to make our order as the employee was making the previous order. When she was done, she sat on a stool fronting the register and waited there until we were ready. She did not greet us or thank us for waiting. I had asked her a few questions about the items on the menu but she didn't seem to happy about answering me. That was a bit upsetting as I really like going to get boba drinks from here, but their customer service was really bad on this visit. When we got our drinks, one drink did not have a lid so I kindly asked for one. She looked at me and took a lid from the stack of lids and placed it on the counter closer to her. I had to reach over to grab it. It was bad. I don't know if she was having a bad day but it does not excuse her service towards customers.

    Mango snowthie

The Milky Way truck was at a craft fair event in Mililani. I got the mango snowthie, which I'm assuming is a combination of snow and a smoothie. I loved the consistency of the snow. It was pretty light, but went well with the thickness of the mango smoothie. It was super refreshing for a hot day. I thought it was weird that a straw was given for this since the snowthie is on the thicker side. I was definitely struggling to eat it, but I went home after and got a spoon there.

    Strawberry mango

This was good, and it wasn't overly sweet. Kinda lacked flavor. Nothing specific shined through, it was kinda watery. Not bad. It said it was made with fresh fruit but reminded me of costcos strawberry sundae. Wouldn't get again, but maybe you would like it.

I was craving something different, cold, sweet, and close by. This place hit the spot in more ways than one! It's tucked into a small building but you can't miss it because they have their colorful truck in front. The interior is super cute and there's some seating available. The menu may not be complicated, but you really don't need many options cause everything seems really good. I enjoyed the milk tea snow. It was filled with delicious soft boba, brown sugar syrup (omg the best I've had), and light milk tea snow. It was way better than I ever expected it to be. Super creamy, light, not too sweet, It also fed two people easily. Another great local business on my list of "I want to be a regular here".

Inside of the establishment was ok. We ordered milky tea with pudding, milky teas with boba, mango snowthie, and lemon black tea. Drinks was ok I'd give. 2.5/5. Mango snowthie was the best out of all! 5/5 recommend.

We happened to be in the area and wanted a drink. I've always passed by the place since I work in Kalihi and I've seen the truck parked in Moiliili before but never actually tried it. It's a good thing they have a sign on the front of the building or you would definitely miss it because it is tucked on the back side of the building. It was just 1 lady inside and she made them pretty quickly. So glad we did because it was sooooo good I got the strawberry mango and they use real fruits which was delicious and the snow was so soft and pillowy and creamy. My fiancé got the milk tea one and his had boba in it. He said his was good too. We will be back to try other items!

All snowthies!! Very tasting. Parking is a bit small buy seems to always have a place to park. So its not that bad. Nice small place to grab a cold snowthie! I really likes the strawberry one that I got. Very creamy! I would get this again! Downside is thats all they have. Is snowthies & regular milkteas with boba. Customer service is ok. They just take your order, nothing exceeds that.

I was at Richies Drive inn when I remembered to check out this place. It was about a couple lanes or two further down North King Street heading west and sure enough you can spot the cute food trailer in the parking lot. Did you know the family built this wooden cafe on the trailer together?! The Kids helped built this with the direction of their father. They are parked near the street in the shared parking lot with the Pawn shop & Jackson Hewett Tax Servive. It's across the Kapalama Post office but before the old Pizza Hut location and I think after Palace Saimin You would only see the cafe on the trailer from Tuesday-Friday from 11am -5pm. There are some picnic benches and chairs under the canopy tent while you wait. In the beginning they started out in Waimanalo but for now they are here in Kalihi. They are known for their Steak and Shrimp plate and their two huge pieces of boneless fried chicken. They have some regular items and some specials of the day. Best to call ahead and place your order. The fried chicken would take the longest about 10 minutes wait time. They have some other items which sounded good like pot roast pork which is not offered all the time, hamburger steak. Kalbi, loco moco, bbq chicken, etc. On a hot day, shave ice and slushies and slushes floats would be refreshing. They have lemonade and orange aid slushies , but I got an orange aid slushie float with ice cream. I decided to get the fried chicken since I had some time to wait. it was huge as the photos posted and it was $12! It was hot and crispy in a seasoned flour battered. I couldn't wait to take a bite as I was driving, but I just tried part of the fried batter. It was seasoned so it was a little salty for me perhaps I just ate the batter part. The chicken gravy given was really good but having two humongous boneless chicken, I may need more gravy than the large portion cup given. Chicken tasted better after pouring some of the gravy over it. The gravy was yummy and not the brown gravy, but the light tan gravy! I'm looking forward to try more dishes like the rib eye steak, pot roast pork or some other specials. Please support this family own business! Daily specials are posted on their Instagram page @cafeparkside808. They were so nice and down to earth. I was grateful for their great & friendly service and they even offered to bring my order to my car since I wanted to wait in my car. They have some regular customers now but could use more customers since they are a new business. Prices were reasonable with generous portions. Still need to try more plates but I'll give them a rating of 4.5 stars rounded up! Thanks for reading my reviews =)

When the food is ready, you get a text, pick-up is on the kitchen-side, backdoor. We'd heard good things about their steak, dynamite chicken, and ahi katsu so we wanted to try all three. There is a chicken + meat combo that allows you to upgrade the meat to ribeye; we ordered this plate with all green salad. Then we ordered the King Kam ahi katsu with rice and upgraded the side to imitation crab salad. If you love sauce, this is for you. Their fried items are nicely cooked, the ahi katsu had a nice rare center and the boneless chicken was still juicy, but both lost their crispness under a mountain of seasoned soy sauce, Kewpie mayo, sriracha aioli, and sweet chili sauce. With the additional garlic, katsuobushi, furikake, and green onion, these are flavor bombs. The ribeye had a nice char from the grill. It's served with a side of crack sauce which has a vinegar, fish sauce base, plus chili, garlic and cilantro. The heat from the steak and chicken withered the bed of green salad underneath, so we didn't eat it; serves us right for not getting rice and mac salad with a plate lunch. At Kingz, more is more.
