It was the first milk tea I had with the cheese cap and my life has changed since then and I hold everywhere else to that standard. They moved to the new Kakaako location recently which is very conveniently located. IMO, this place is still one of THE best boba places on island. The flavor was on point and similar to what I'm used to, but unfortunately I feel like the Boba texture was not on point. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch, but the texture had no balance or chew to it. that makes me to believe it had been sitting. you also have the option to order ahead of time on their website. When I got to Hana Tea there was a couple & 1 mom with her kids before me but the employees were quickly able to get their orders so I wasn't waiting in line long and it didn't take them long to finish my order either so that was great! Hana Tea is back in town! This is my go to spot for a milk tea. But since it was later in the day, I had the brown sugar milk this time. The boba was perfect, nice and chewy, and not overcooked. And they serve it warm and fresh, so be sure to stir before you drink warm boba. Checked in for their grand opening on Halekauwila St (the old Ding Tea spot) and they were giving out free folders as well as 10% off all drinks. There's free parking in the attached structure for up to 20 minutes, no validation required and some stalls on the street right in front as well. Open Tuesday - Sunday: 11:00am-7:00pm, closed Mondays. They seem to have inherited all of Ding Tea's furniture/decor as well, but it's nice and modern. The menu is pretty extensive, ranging from all types of milk tea, plain tea, fruity drinks, sparkling, smoothies and more. I hope they plan to bring their snacks/food (and maybe expand on the food menu) in the future! Hopefully you'll be able to order ahead online again as well. This is by far the best milk tea place I've been. I have tried several here in Hawaii and many in Vegas too. The quality of the boba is so good. The texture is spot on. Not too hard or soft. I hate mushy boba. The drinks are delicious. My favorite milk tea is the brown sugar milk tea. The ube latte is a family favorite and my kids love their smoothies as well but if I order ube latte we fight over it so we usually just order those.
