Encountered the most uncooperative, unpleasant and disinterested salesperson ever. She didn't offer to show me anything. She waived her hand toward the back of the store and said to just "...pick something out." Actually told me that if installers had to come back to complete the job the next day, I would be charged AGAIN for labor. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. this carpet store replaced all out upstairs carpeting, which included 3 bed rooms ,,a hall and stairs.We went there and picked out the carpeting and they came an did the upstairs with the carpeting we chose. We though we would be happy with shopping and supporting local businesses We were dead wrong, months after the carpet was placed it began to wrinkle, we hardly use the upstairs rooms since the kid went off to college ,so walking on it was not a factor, nor did we move furniture around that could be a factor We had a guy come in and look and evaluate what could be done to make it look better ,he said they did not stretch the carpet correctly and so felt the insulation was poorly done. He advised stretching and cutting the excess carpet away . after he was done the room looked better he will come back to re-do the hall and remaining bedrooms since we needed to move the furniture around. So it you do not want to have the carpet readjusted and re-installed by another professional, and pay to have it done TRY ANOTHER STORE read more

Wish had read reviews before I walked thru the door of Mill Creek. I too thought this will be so much better than the big box stores, customer service and more selection. WRONG. The customer service person was nice at first, then she ordered the wrong tile, that I had to wait for longer than stated. No one told me the warehouse was only open to 4pm, I'm 75 miles away. So I'm out a day of work driving back and forth to pick up and deliver the wrong tile. She did not want to take responsibility for ordering the wrong tile and told me "I'm just trying to help you" then she informed me she can probably get me a discount on the replacement tile!! I went to mill creek thinking that I would be happier and get a better end product and service than choosing Home Depot or Lowes. I would have saved money and likely been happier choosing Lowes or Home Depot. I have never had such horrible customer service from a company. I don't have enough time or space to detail all of my negative experiences. However, my project that was supposed to be completed over 2 weeks ago still isn't done and I have been waiting for 3 hours for tile layers that still arent here--they were scheduled for the morning and the manager said "technically am is before noon". What are they--the cable company or telephone comany? Not to mention that I have a hole in the wall from carpet installers that I don't know if it will be fixed. read more

I too thought I would be better off at Mill Creek than one of the big box stores, I could not have been more wrong. They had me substantially over-order, charged me more for a lesser quality product, and showed up an entire day late. We've worked with Jennifer at Mill Creek in Norman twice for recarpeting our vintage home here in Norman. We did the downstairs two years ago and just finished the upstairs, hall, and stairwell today. Jennifer came to the house initially and took measurements for all the areas eventually to be carpeted and kept the measurements on file. In this instance, Jennifer was very good about tracking our order and keeping in touch with us, as we had a delay in shipping and were working around painters and movers and the return of a POD storage unit. She contacted Mohawk and got our order expedited so we could keep to our timetable. The installers showed up on time and were continuously busy from about 10:00 am to 6:00. They were pleasant, knew what they were doing, and cleaned up after themselves. We are very happy to recommend Mill Creek in Norman for carpeting and wouldn't hesitate to go to them for other flooring needs. read more

I received terrible customer service on some tiles I had purchased at this store. I had brought three boxes of tile to try a find a match to some tiles in my parents house that we were trying to sell. I brought the tile on a Wed. And it was suppose to be in the store the following Monday. I waited until that Friday to pick up the tiles because I live about an hour away from this store. On the Wed between that Monday and Friday when I went to the store, we had an offer on the house so we did not need to fix the tiles. On my receipt it states they there is a 25 percent restocking fee. So I had expected to pay that when I went in Friday to the store. Well, the tile was still at the warehouse and had not even been delivered yet and then the salesman and the manager informed me that I had to buy five cartons to be able to return the tiles. They did not tell me this when I brought the tile nor is it listed like that on their receipt. The stated that there was a sign on the wall but they could not find it for me. i was willing to pay the stocking fee for three boxes even though the tiles had never even left the warehouse yet, so there was not even really any restocking to do. Also when I brought the tiles, the price on the tiles was one price and when the salesman looked them up to order them he informed me that that was the old price and the price had gone up and they had forgotten to take down the signs. I did not even gripe at the time about that and paid the higher price. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Very poor customer service! read more

We had Mill Creek replace tile in two small areas in our family room. We had moved most of our furniture out as we were getting new carpet also. The tile layer arrived and my wife showed him the areas to replace. I got home 30 minutes later and he had used a electric chipping hammer to remove the existing tile, without any dust containment. There was tile dust and grout dust on walls, ceiling, light fixtures, paintings, and even in the kitchen, which wasn't part of the job. After he laid the new tile, he made no effort to clean up anything, leaving dried grout on the outside deck and flower beds. I asked him about clean up and he suddenly didn't speak english. I called our sales person and she came out the next day, looked it over and left, offering no help at all. The carpet layers were very good, and all in all it looks nice. I am convinced that the labor, that Mill Creek uses is contract labor, that they just hire as the need arises. If you get lucky, it will probably be fine, but if not, do not expect any help from Mill Creek. In hindsight, get everything in writing, then hope for the best. read more
