I've been to the place a few times, and while I didn't have problems worth posting about before, this last visit was a nightmare. Two teeth that gave me no issue or pain but apparently needed crowns were tended too, after reading the other reviews here I fear I didn't even need them, but I can say it caused me more pain then any other dental work in my life including root canals. That is in both the month between visits and in the work itself. I was taking three rounds of tylenol a day most days just to sleep and function, all while not even using the right half of my mouth to chew. While that is all fairly annoying in itself, what really pissed me off enough to review is the treatment at the end. I was told I'd need two visits for my crown, the first of which they'd drill out the infection and measure for my temporaries, when I came in to be my second which was to be a one hour visit, they spent TWO hours screwing with my teeth before declaring that one of the temporaries they'd measured for/prepared/ and called me into install didn't fit. This mean two more weeks of pain and a third surprise visit! I was given no apology or discount for this extra trouble, despite being in enough pain to consider going in to an emergency dentist to have the tooth extracted. When I finally came in for the third visit they didn't numb me despite my first words on the subject being 'my last visit was excruciatingly painful, I'd be shocked if I didn't need numbing. When the visit was over I was then mocked and talked down to by the dentist checking me over for having the AUDACITY to scream twice in pain, before he literately skipped away down the hall. I've not felt so disrespected or dissatisfied by a medical provider even once in my life, don't come here. read more

My wife and son had been patients at Sunnybrook Dental for about 5 years and recently they have been performing procedures not covered by dental insurance and one deemed unnecessary by the insurer. When questioned on this practice the office manager became very defensive and rude. When my wife told her that she had finally had enough and would be leaving for another dentist in the future the response was, "Fine by me!" I cannot recommend this dentist and would recommend you consider one that is more concerned with the costs incurred by patients and has a staff that exhibits a greater level of professionalism. read more

I can't say enough good things about Sunnybrook Dental! Everyone there is super friendly and welcoming. Coming from someone who literally detests going to the Dentist, they've made me feel so comfortable every time I've gone. Some of the real stars of Sunnybrook are Dr. Rebecca Kisling and Erin Lewis (hygienist). First, Erin is the sweetest gal I've ever met. She always has a smile on her face and we always have something to talk about. She often asks me about things we've talked about on my past visits so I feel like she really cares about me a patient. Erin also made me feel very comfortable when I needed to get some cavities filled. When numbing my mouth, I barely felt a pinch from the needle! She really is an amazing hygienist! Ask for her because she books up fast! Next, I have to say that I love Rebecca Kisling! She first started at Sunnybrook right before I became a patient there, and I'm glad I landed her as a doctor. Like Erin, Dr. Kisling always has a smile on her face and makes Sunnybrook a fun environment. She is more than willing to answer any questions about things that popped up that session. I really feel like Rebecca wants to help educate people about dental health in a fun and caring way. When getting my cavities filled she kept checking in with me to make sure I was comfortable and okay. It really means a lot to me that she cares so much for the patients she sees. I've met Dr. Dan once and he was very nice, but since I don't know him as well I'm just going to give another shout out to Dr. Kisling! Ask for her as well!! I just want to wrap up and say that my dental health habits were severely lacking, Dr. Kisling and Erin have taken the time to educate me, coach me, and cheer me on in bettering my dental health. The best words to describe Sunnybrook include timely, laidback, professional, and fun. Yes, fun! Timely: I waited no longer than 10 minutes for anything or anyone at any time during my visit. Laidback: There's a relaxed atmosphere at this office that in no way affects their professionalism. Professional: Everyone knew what they were doing and could answer my questions with ease. I was listened to and the end results delivered what I asked. Fun: The hygienists and dentists are cheerful and witty and seem to enjoy working with patients and their teeth. They even have TVs in the dental chair areas so patients can have something to watch while getting their teeth worked on (a welcome distraction!). In conclusion, I felt like I was in great hands from the moment I was greeted by the administrative assistant to when I paid my bill and headed out the door. My husband and I have been patients at Sunnybrook Dental for several years. Dr. Dan and the staff know us well and are always very courteous and helpful. They listen and work with us on plans to manage our dental issues. Dr. Dan's work is excellent, and he refers to other dental specialists when he is unable to perform certain procedures. I switched my family to Sunnybrook dental a few years ago after moving. The location is convenient, office is decorated very nice and the staff are friendly every time. From the hygienist and assistants to Dr. Dan and Dr. Kisling, they all make you feel comfortable and explain every step. I get a little dental anxiety when it comes to crown work, and I have had two here. One from Dr. Dan the other from Dr. Kisling. Both were not only successful, but they made me feel at ease and very comfortable. Each room has a tv, which is a nice distraction! Before any work is done, the staff shows you what the estimate is for insurance coverage, so there are no surprises. They have also called me after appointments to check in and see how I'm doing. My kids and I always feel comfortable with everyone at Sunnybrook. I would highly recommend them! read more

He explained to me how much he value us as his patients, he also explained to me in detail about the concern I have with some dental procedure, I truly appreciated that. Thank you Dr Dan! I guess if you have any questions about billing and the situation of your dental health/issue, you just need to talk to the dr. directly, rather than walking away not happy. This dentist wanted to remove my husband's wisdom teeth, though he is nearly 40 and they have never bothered him or caused any trouble. Additionally, he told him he had cavities, when another dentist later confirmed he did not. For both my husband and I just to have dental cleanings, we were stuck with a nearly $300 bill, even with insurance. I would certainly not recommend this dentist. read more

My husband and I have been going to Sunnybrook dental for 8+ years and have had an excellent experience there. The staff is kind, family friendly, honest and knowledgeable. We now take out children to them. I wasn't sure if I should find a pediatric dentist because I want my kids to have a good dental experience while they are young so they aren't afraid later in life. My two sons and I have been going to "Dr. Dan" at Sunnybrook Dental for several years. (My husband still is with the dentist he's been going to since he was 12!) We chose Sunnybrook Dental because the location was so convenient to work and school but we stayed because of the quality of care we receive, the friendliness of the front-office staff and the face that they take our dental insurance. I've been going to Dr. Dan for six years. I've since moved far from the office, but I still drive back for my excellent hygienist. They recently moved to an upgraded office nearby with great technology and a great salt water fish tank. Before doing any work, they always provide an estimate of the insurance coverage and its always been on point. My employer has changed dental insurance companies three times in six years, and thankful Sunnybrook has been in-network for all of them. Great service great facilities. read more

Consistently terrible. I've been a patient for 3 months, have had to go in as an emergency visit between procedures for adjustments almost every time. Was prescribed the same antibiotic twice within a month and even offered it a third time (over the phone, without being seen). One doctor performed a partial root canal, then when scheduled to complete it spent an hour talking down to me (I left that day with zero work). A different doctor later apologized for him. When I had a crown placed this doctor told me "it's not perfect but it's good enough." They also charge a $20 per visit covid PPE charge that is not covered by insurance, even when I had to go in for them to correct something they had done. Most recently had a couple of cavities filled and have had horrible sensitivity since!! Before the fillings had zero pain or issues. Seems like nothing is ever done well/correctly!! It's been a really painful and traumatic few months in this office. I will not be returning and truly wish I would have chosen anywhere else from the beginning!! read more

First, let me start by saying I have had horrible dental experiences in the past. Thus, I have great anxiety about any dentist visit...for the time, pain, expense and overall experience. After finding one I could go to for about 6 years, they stopped offering the laughing gas. I have to have this to get through anything more than a cleaning, and I have teeth with many issues. I asked for referrals and no one had a dentist they loved....some they liked but all had issues. I went into the top 5 recommended by my dental insurance company, and chose the one with the highest star rating. I figure if I use TripAdvisor for everything travel related, why not rely on the public to tell me where to find a good dentist. They were right! My experience was one of the best. Rachel was wonderful and took x-rays, showing me exactly where the problem areas were (I had been told and shown the same in the past), and gave me my options. Due to the pain, we chose a mid-level option. Monica came in and was very clear about the costs today, and the costs of the next couple visits to get all the problems under control. They did not try to oversell me anything, and showed me exactly what the issue was, and if it was an urgent concern (pain), something we needed to fix in the next year (possible filling coming off) or something to watch (due to my lack of flossing). The prices were very reasonable compared with other dental offices I had gone to in the past, and they had already spoken to my insurance company so I knew exactly what I would be paying out of pocket for each visit. The total will be under $500. The dentist seemed nice and competent, and I'm so happy I found Sunnybrook. I will be referring them to my friends who do not love their dentist. read more

I would caution anyone who might think about visiting "Dr. Dan". He advised my husband to pull his (healthy, never has given him a problem) wisdom teeth because "Dr. Dan" said he "didn't need them". Also, he told my husband that he had two cavities, but when we visited another dentist at his regular checkup, he was told that he had no cavities. The cleanings were probably one of the most painful either my husband and I had ever experienced. It was also expensive. We had insurance but, for two cleanings with x-rays, somehow we still had a bill of a couple of hundred of dollars. We will never be returning. read more

Thanks to Rachel and Dr. Dan for a great visit yesterday! Rachel was very quick getting me back to the chair, and explained everything she was doing. She went above and beyond to explain how my recent pregnancy and breastfeeding can affect my teeth / gums and gave recommendations on small improvements I could make. Dr. Dan was very nice and gave me words of encouragement for my 'perfect smile'. It was nice to know I was doing well and to "keep doing exactly what you're doing'.
