December 12/2022: Lunch with our god daughter. This is a nice little pub-style restaurant in the heart of downtown Orangeville. Lots of free parking nearby as well. Our server was very nice with a great sense of humour. She rolled with the jokes from our table. The 3-Star comes from the food. Mine was the fish & chips. It was a re-fried fish thing that took place. It LOOKED fresh but it wasn't. I could tell cause it was overly crunchy. It was then placed on top of the fries that caused the oil from the fish to run over the fries thus ruining about 1/2 of the fries. On a high point, the pasta was delicious. Artichoke hearts, black olives, sundries tomato's with lots of garlic. It was the best dish. read more

I just left this pub and enjoyed myself so much I wanted to review it right away while still fresh. Upon entering we received a very warm welcome and was sat in a booth. Our waitress Kayla was so friendly as well as all the staff. Lots of beer and wine choices. Food came fast and hot and was really delicious! Will definitely return if ever if this area again and would highly recommend. read more

Mill Creek Pub is just so amazing! It is listed as one of the 365 things to do in Orangeville, after my recent visit, I would say it is the MUST do thing when you visit Orangeville if you enjoy: - nice, friendly and cozy atmosphere - 19 drafts on taps from local craft brewery and imports - huge patios in the front and the balcony upstairs Here the staff are just so wonderful and accommodating! The building itself is interesting, a lot of open space and nice ambiance! I wish I have a Mill Creek Pub in my area! read more

I came here in hopes of finding some great craft beer. Although I did enjoy a Mill St Cobblestone Stout, it was the only beer that peaked my interest. I ordered the Linguini Pestore and it was pretty darn tasty. If I had to change one thing about that dish is I would take out the inedible parts (the clam shells and shrimp tails). Service was pretty outstanding and the place has a nice comfortable feel to it. They also have an outdoor patio area that was pretty busy and what seems to be an upstairs area for private parties. I would come back here again if I am ever in the area. Parking is plentiful too in the free parking lots so no need to worry about not finding parking on the streets. read more

Working in the Orangeville area, there are a variety of restaurants around Broadway that are worth a try. Today, on a recommendation from a friend, I grabbed lunch from Mill Creek Pub. I kept it simple, just a Reuben sammy, hot mustard, Thousand Island on the side. What I got was the Reuben, no hot mustard, but instead of Thousand Island dressing, there was a custom blend that seemed to be dijon mustard with mustard seed and dressing. It was an interesting alternative to the normal dressing on a Reuben, but I still missed the bite of a hot mustard, or at least more Dijon. The corned beef was pretty good, not at abundant as some specialty restaurants, but with an acceptable level of fat. My only complaint is that the sauerkraut needs to be fried or dried so the rye bread on one side doesn't turn into mush. read more

I have been coming to this pub for years because the food is good and the patio is so comfortable Today I brought friends from out of town and am sorry to say I was humiliated. We ordered drinks, then starters. mains followed by desserts. As soon as we had paid the bill with a 15% tip we were informed that there was a party waiting for the table and we had to leave as they had a 1.5 hour limit on the patio. This was not disclosed as we sat down, not was it mentioned when we ordered dessert and a second round of drinks. It gets worse, when I pointed these facts out to our waitress, she agreed and said ok. Finish your meal. Then the associate who introduced herself as the acting manager came over and said we do have a time policy. I pointed out we had just paid 200 and not finished our dessert and drinks. She was adamant about their policy. There was an empty table beside us which we would have been happy to move over to but that option was not offered. Also note the table who were enjoying their cocktails when we went in and still enjoying their bottle of red as we left. Also note the other patrons who were shocked by the behaviour of the staff. To make matters worse , another random waitress walked by and snarled that we had been there since 4pm which was totally false. We are now humiliated, unable to finish our meal and just want to get out of there. I approached the acting manager to complain about the harassment and got more patronizing behaviour from her. So is it because we were four seniors and they figured they could push us around or maybe because the waitress asked us what country we came from as we had accents or maybe this restaurant are just unprofessional bullies? not sure of the answer but surely will not be back and will tell all my friends. read more

I have eaten here in the past and the food and service was very good....last night was the worst. I paid $17 for a dry ( reminiscent of a kids menu) cheese burger. It was not fresh and ate a little less than half. Soooo disappointed! They gave me a discount of $3 off the bill. This will be the last time I come here. read more

To balance out my recent slew of not so rave reviews I thought it an appropriate to share a review with you all about a place I had the absolute pleasure of encountering 2 weeks ago while a group of Yelpers and I braved the drive and explored Orangeville. The Mill Creek Pub is a Brand new spot (opened only in Dec 2012) a block down Mill street off of Broadway. As we were told the venue had houses a series of unsuccessful bar/pub style restaurants but was originally the Coca Cola bottling plant for this area of Ontario! The new ownership of this location has turned what I can only imaging was a divey side street bar into a shining jewel in the GTA's north. Walking in the main floor you are greeted with a gorgeous lounge and bar area with ample bar style and booth seating and of course - Televisions! Tons of TV's playing sports in HD at every angle. They had 19 draft beers on tap with a solid mix of imports, domestic and Ontario Craft Brewers. One of the best points about the main floor is that come summer time it's going to lead directly out onto a massive 3 tier private (fenced off) patio, with a capacity I believe our waitress informed us of well over 100-150. The patio has a great view of a quite creek and distant neighbourhood area. In addition to all this they also have very modern washrooms and a full dining space in the upstairs area. Gorgeous vaulted ceilings, tons of natural light - I'd say this is the a great way to have a classier meal and escape the bar below. There is still ample TV coverage up here but it's in no way going to encroach on your dining or conversations. Best of all, this dining area has a small patio itself which leads to the aforementioned 3 tier patio below. A great way to cap the night off! PRIMETIME PREDICTION: This WILL be the place to be in North GTA/ Orangeville come patio season. One of the biggest, and nicest patios I've seen in the Greater Toronto Area! read more

My husband and I went into Orangeville with the intent of going to Soulyve for some Caribbean food but it was closed so we ended up at Mill Creek Pub. We went in disappointed that we were missing out on what we had planned for but that changed quickly! The atmosphere at Millcreek was warm and inviting and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The drink selections are quite large and the lunch menu is packed with mouth watering options. The goat cheese and spinach dip was one of the best we've ever had! Creamy, prefect amount of spinach and a little kick at the end! It was served up with baked naan tips which made it perfect. My husband had the Steak and Mushroom Stout pie with fries while I had seafood linguine - both of which did not disappoint. The waitress was sweet, attentive and quite funny, checking in regularly and offering up very educated options on the various choices of beer. Great little place! After seeing this place at the Taste of Orangeville, we decided to give it a try. We went on a chilly Saturday afternoon, and the place wasn't too busy. I ordered the fish and chips and my friend got the burger and fries, we also got onion rings to share. Seemed like it took a little long to get our meals, but I'm willing to wait for perfection: ) My fish was pretty good. It came on top of fries with lemon and tarter sauce and a side of coleslaw. Very average fish and fries, but the slaw was very nice. My friend liked her burger and fries, but again, she agreed it was pretty average. It didn't seem to me that the burger was homemade, might have been a frozen patty. The star of the meal were the onion rings. They were nice and crispy, with a perfect batter! All in all a pretty solid meal, but not enough to keep me coming back for more! read more

While viewing some homes in the Orangeville area, I stumped upon this pub and thought I'd try it on for size. I was mighty thirsty and hungered upon arrival. My date and I couldn't decide which brew to try so our server came back with a small flight for our sampling needs. After trying a few, I decided on the Elora lady friend IPA. Hello new friend. I ordered the smoked salmon flat bread and it was just okay. I had higher hopes for it. I wished the flatbread was thinner and the smoked salmon wasn't baked with the bread in the oven. I wish it was more of a baked flatbread with gooey cream cheese and cold smoked salmon, capers and onions on top. Totally forgot it came with mozzarella cheese so that threw me off. It was just okay. I did peck at some French fries and they were really good. I'm not going to hinder the rating because the atmosphere was lovely for a Saturday afternoon. They had some Halloween spirit, an array of beer for drinking and a decent sized menu. I saw other patrons orders and they looked mighty fine - I just chose the wrong one for me. If I'm ever back in the are, I would return. read more

Solid little bar kinda tucked away on a street off of the main Orangeville downtown strip. 4 stars not because anything wowed me but because everything about it was consistent and solid and that deserves recognition. My food was good, I had the daily special chicken souvlaki and it was good. Homemade tzatziki. Good Amount of food. My friends food looked good too. Waitress was really pleasant and helpful. Went to this decent pub for a mid-week lunch. Not sure why people rave about the patio; it's a patio, and you can't see the creek because it's tiny, and across the street. The service was prompt and polite. My fish and chips were a disappointment. The "chips" were fries, and they were stone cold. The batter was somewhat greasy, but the fish itself was moist and pretty fresh. The highlight was the homemade tartar sauce, but when a condiment is the star of the meal, it's not the best sign. My wife's meal was significantly better. The onion soup was generous, cheesy and rich. Her coconut curry mussels were very good; a healthy portion in a pleasing broth. She also enjoyed her imported cider. In summation, worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood, but not a destination, in and of itself. read more

A real nice spot in Orangeville. Good sized portions of quality, in house made dishes. We highly recommend the strip steak and brie sandwich, chicken pot pie, excellent club, and bbq chicken flat bread! Lots of fresh pints on tap, and the staff were friendly and attentive. read more

Mill Creek Pub is one of those pleasant surprises that you just happen to stumble upon when you walk down a street in the dead of winter. They are situated right in front of a creek and they will 100% take full advantage of it, once the warm weather hits and patio season starts with that amazing 3-tier patio. The bar area, which is where we hung out this time around, is beautiful with views of the patio and beyond. The staff are friendly and they're willing to point you in the right direction of your own personal beer preference. Plus they stopped by often to check in on us to see how we were doing. Cool fact: the building used to be a Coco-Cola Bottling plant in a past life. We didn't eat here, but from the peak of the menu that I did have their food menu looked pretty good. They have a pretty extensive selection of local craft beer and import beers on tap, so you won't be complaining about choice. read more

We stopped at Mill Creek Pub on the way to MacGregor Point Provincial Park on a Friday for dinner. What a surprise! A great little pub. There was some live music even! -Great, friendly staff -Fast service -Huge beer list with local craft brews -Newly renovated and clean -Tasty food! While we found the regular menu a bit pricy, ask for the Bar Menu to get more reasonable prices (~$14). We ended up stopping at Mill Creek again on the way back from MacGregor Point for lunch and had a great time. We were here during the winter but I imagine the patio outside will be a hit during the summer. read more

This is a bit of a late entry as I was busy with winter break stuff for the last couple of weeks and before that I had an exam to write. I was in the beautiful town of Orangeville for 4 weeks to do a rotation with one of the local docs. And one of my friends also happened to be there, so we decided to go out for dinner one day. Unfortunately, our first choice, Bluebird, happened to be completely full (we didn't think they were that busy and so we didn't reserve in advance). the Mill Creek looks and feels like something halfway in between a pub and a bar and grill. It gives off the vibe of a Montana's - casual, rustic. I decided to try the jambalaya since the rest of the pub menu looked like stuff I had tried before, while my friend, who's vegetarian, went in for a flatbread. Both dishes were brought pretty quickly. The flatbread looked crisp and was topped nicely with cheese and veggies. Since I was eating jambalaya for the first time, I cannot say if it was authentic but since it was at a pub, I can safely guess it was not. Regardless, I felt that the rice was cooked well and there was a good amount of meat and sausage and shrimp, but it was on the bland side. Looked like a decent place though. read more

First experience of Mill Creek was quite enjoyable. On Good Friday night, we decided to try out the new pub in town, and were glad we did. Nicely decorated, with pub area downstairs, and more dining space upstairs. We got there at about 9 pm and were taken care of promptly- great service throughout. We each ordered the fish and chips and loved it! Good fish to batter ratio, and not greasy feeling, very good-Awesome slaw with it. My only constructive criticisms would be: we weren't too sure where to park- parking lot next to apartment building, weren't sure if it was designated for tenants or if restaurant visitors could park- but found parking on the street right out front so it was okay. Also, with such awesome fish, we felt the fries could have been more special- they were nice and hot, but just your average fries. Lastly, got Keith's and Cobblestone Stout draughts, and were 6.95 each, a bit pricey. Those are just minor things, certainly wouldn't hinder a recommendation. The patio areas look like they will be excellent when the warm weather comes. We will definitely be back read more

I am certainly not a world traveler but I have traveled and eaten in many many restaurants. This was by far the BEST restaurant food I have even had! I am now a vegan for health reasons and this restaurant offers the option on a few meals. I had the Bombay Curry. It was not only vegan but it was also soy and G/F which suited me perfectly. It was so flavorful but not overly hot or spicy. It was full of local fresh vegetables plus potato and basmati rice. I do not live in Ontario but on my next visit I will be at this place again read more

Gorgeous day so a very busy patio. They warned us that large groups had arrived and it could be 20 mins before we got our food. We ordered a "flight" of 4 taster beers from a big list of tasters which was delivered promptly. Tag team service here so it always seemed spot on and always friendly! The meal was delivered in perfect time so we enjoyed the beer sampling and welcomed our food. My husband enjoyed the potatoe skins with cheese and taco beef, sour cream and jalapeño...and also loved half my grilled chicken wrap with bacon, guac, spicy mayo, tomatoes etc and cheese and the fresh fries. I would have given a 5/5 if my meal was a little more off the grill and hot fries. Delicious though!!! read more
