I love exploring different parks - especially ones with walking trails. This park is directly next door to and shares a parking lot with the city hall. There is a big lake with a bridge to walk over, many dock type platforms to stand on and a nice, wide, paved walking trail. There are benches and picnic tables all around the lake area. They also have educational plaques that talk about the wildlife and what you may see around the park. I saw ducks and geese and they were fiesty chasing each other around! On the day I went I walked around the lake on the paved trail, then parked myself on a bench reading for a few hours. It was glorious! They also have a playground equipment, ball fields and a pavilion though I didn't really explore those areas they did look well taken care of.

One of the nicest parks in St. Louis County. I grew up not far from here and this is the park my grandparents brought me to in order to feed the ducks and play on the playground. It's had a lot of improvements since then but still lovely. I highly recommend Des Peres Park!

Officially my new favorite place to run after work. The trail around the park is only a little over a mile, so it takes a few loops to get in a good workout - but it's peaceful and empty most of the times I have gone here (except for the playgrounds). There is a pretty big parking lot for the size of the park, and a nice pond in the middle of it that allows catch and release fishing. The bathrooms are some of the nicest I've seen in a public park, and there are plenty of drinking fountains to get water from after running in the sun. It's no Forest Park, but it's a nice place to escape to for a while - even with busy Manchester right on the other side.

Beautiful walk around the lake. Some of the trees are bright red and yellow. This park is close to home and has a loop walking trail one small bridge and a socket field.

I didn't get to spend much time here, but I had a nice little visit the other day! I had no idea that this little gem was tucked away, just across and down the street from West County Mall! It had a beautiful little pond, a soccer field and a great playground! According to the little map I looked over, there seems to be plenty of trail worth walking or running! I look forward to stopping by again the next time I'm in the area!

Can't believe it's the week of Christmas. What beautiful weather!

This is one of my favorite parks. It's close to West County Mall, it's always very clean and well kept, and has tennis courts. Very beautiful grounds for an afternoon walk, playing with your dog, or just a quick relaxing getaway from work in the afternoon. Great spot to have a picnic!

Pretty place to run but it is very small so unless you are looking for a quick workout you will be running lots of laps!!

The park also hosts the annual art fair and other pop up events. My favorite thing about this park is that it is not super crowded. While the weekends might boost the number of visitors, the park is usually still fairly peaceful. We've met photographers here before as the sculptures and sceneries do introduce lovely backgrounds for photoshoots. We've also just spent some time strolling with our pup on beautiful days. There is an education center to learn about the park. Aside from beautiful nature scenes and flowers, there is a large eyeball which is quite an entertaining conversational piece, a very tall human piece, a leafy looking piece made of wood, a large moose (I think?) and so much more! If you haven't made the trip, take some time to check this place out on a morning or an afternoon stroll and check out some outdoor arts!
