Did not select this contractor - they were selected by Glendale Heating, without our knowledge or consultation, as the electrical sub-contractor for having our Mini-split system installed. The electrical installers were non-communicative, and did not let us know the install was finished. Eventually Glendale let us know that Wireworx had finished a couple weeks prior, and we could call for the final inspection. The City of Seattle came out for the final inspection, and Wireworx failed the inspection, for many reasons. I contacted Wireworx to request they return the following week to make corrections. When the installers arrived, they REFUSED to make any corrections, claiming the City of Seattle doesn't know their own code, and claimed they did everything correctly. Due to their arrogance and refusal to make the corrections required by the Failed Final inspection, I contacted the owner of Glendale, Jerry, who hired Wireworx. He claimed he would call Wireworx and get back to me -- I never heard from him again. We had made our final payment prior to the failure, so we had no recourse, and apparently he did not care whether or not the electrical was up to code. I called the owner of Wireworx, Nick, and explained that his employees refused to fix their failures. He claimed they had been trying to call the inspector for over a week, which - according to the inspector was untrue - they called that same morning, and he returned their call to again go over the failures and tell them the corrections were required before it could pass Final inspection. I asked Nick not to send his arrogant installers back, since they refused to work and apparently do not know the Code for the City of Seattle. I invited Nick to come himself and see the work that had been done, and make the changes needed for the installation to pass Final inspection. He eventually agreed and said he would arrive the next day at 3:00 PM. Nick never showed up or called to change plans or reschedule. Their office did send 2 other installers over who did make the corrections needed. Finally. After they were finished, I asked if I could call in the Final inspection again. They said that is not how it works and instructed me not to call the City of Seattle -- they said instead, they upload photos of the corrections made, and then the City would contact me to schedule the Final inspection once they determined the photos showed the repairs were acceptable. 3 weeks went by, and I never heard from the City of Seattle, or from Wireworx. So I called the City of Seattle, and scheduled another Final inspection. This time it passed, and I am grateful to be done dealing with this company - and with Glendale. I do not recommend using this company, especially in the City of Seattle. Given the high number of corrections they needed to make, their combative attitude, mis-directions, lack of communication, flat out refusal to work or make the needed corrections, and lies -- surely there are better contractors to call on. I do not recommend Glendale Heating either, because they do not tell you they are subbing out the electrical work, and they don't care if it is done improperly. We did ask Glendale to reverse our final payment until the Electrical passed Final inspection, and they refused to do so. I never heard from the owner of either company again following our initial discussions. Lots of lessons learned - don't make the same mistakes we did. read more
