Look at that cream layer in the milk.

Was recently looking for a farm that I could buy Raw milk from and Miller Farms had so many recommendations. It's about a 35 min drive from my house (Southside of SA) but soooo worth it. It is an easy and simple self-serve style, in terms of you get what you're gonna buy, you stuff the envelope with cash and done. I bought milk, eggs and pint of cream. The milk and cream are delicious. They even carry meat from Rancho Seco Cattle Co. which you pay separately for. Oh, it's CASH ONLY. Also, I was worried about some posts saying the GPS would not lead you to correct location, and thankfully Apple Maps has it right now.

    Fresh right from the source!

Awesome milk and cream. Made butter from the cream. Worth the drive and extra cost for my family.

My haul included: -Handmade fruit and nut Bars (Oovey's) -Homemade Greek Dips (Hummus, Tzatziki, Babaganoush) -Pad Thai and Thai Beef from the Thai Street food Vendor All the vendors are so friendly and wonderful and you can tell they are so passionate about the items they make :) On Sundays from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Every time we head up to the lake house in LBJ we make a point to come here on Sunday. We load a cooler to take back home with us! Our main stops are: 1. Capital City Ceviche - they make Hawaiian poke just like back home in Hawaii. Since moving to Texas, that was something we haven't been able to find that is good. But here.....OMG the best! 2. JW Seafood - specifically when in season, the fresh oysters are amazing! 3. Prairie's Prairies- they have quality French pastries and baked goods. We love their scones, croissants, and their puffs....oh yum! 4. Goodie Dumplings- They make them fresh on site or have frozen to take home. They have everything from veggie, chicken, beef, pork, and seafood! This are so good. It is usually a snack while we walk around and then we take some to go to add to our ramen at home. They add a lot of vendors throughout the year which is fun! They have craft items as well which we have even bought a few items from those booths as well. Next time you're in Spicewood on a Sunday, be sure to stop in! :)

Venders are great, you have such a variety of prepared food. Love the dumplings. But there is so much more. Veggies. Fruits, canned goods, baked goods, meats, cheese, eggs, pasta, raw milk. I mean it's just a lot of greatness. Love supporting famers and small businesses. Coming out in the community, and just feeling a connection. Literally recharges me. Farmers markets are supposed to be welcoming, family-friendly spaces where local vendors, farmers, nonprofits, faith groups, and community members can come together safely and respectfully. Unfortunately, I witnessed something that made the environment feel anything but welcoming. There was a small religious group with a table at the market, and as someone passed by, they shouted offensive racial and religious slurs at the men working the table. It was completely uncalled for. Rather than engaging in any kind of respectful conversation, this person chose to be hateful and intimidating in a public community space. I understand that the organizers may not be able to identify or remove every person who behaves this way, but I do think the market should be more proactive about making its expectations clear. A farmers market should feel safe for everyone, including vendors and community organizations that may be more likely to face harassment. Clear signage, public reminders, or stronger policies against hate speech and intolerance would go a long way. I hope the organizers take this seriously and make it clear that racism, religious intolerance, and harassment are not acceptable at this market. The community deserves a space that truly feels supportive, inclusive, and safe for all.

There were a lot of stands today and people and I'm thinking it's because of the Father's Day holiday and extra offerings as well. There were gourmet Oysters on the Half Shell, Aperol Spritzers and free Frozen Blackberry Icesticks they were handing out near the Pullman Market. We walked around The Pullman Market but it was quite busy by 12pm. I saw Beet colored fresh Pasta and would like to try one of their fresh Tagliatelle next time. On Saturdays they host more of the classic "farmers market" where you can find local produces from around the area. However, on Sundays they host a "makers market" where is mainly produce and stuff made by amazing local businesses. The market has grown so much in the last couple of years that now truly covers the entire outdoor space of The Pearl. For the summer they changed their hours and markets start at 9am and I believe in winter they will move it back to 10am. They also host a couple evening markets on the weekdays for those looking to stay out of the heat. This market is always such a great time and it is very family and pet-friendly! Make sure to check them out on an upcoming weekend.

I have been making Buda's Farmer's Market my ritual every Sunday, as I usually get there around Noon time which still gives me a couple of hours to graze and browse and shop. I've met pretty much everyone there and it's got a nice selection of items as well. I know we're not supposed to have favorites, but I do have a few of them that I just visit on a regular basis. - Springtown Coffee Roasters - oh my goodness I love these ladies and their coffee! They have this really refreshing drink called the "Coffee Soda" - it's their Ethiopian blend mixed with carbonated water served cold, w/ ice, add some simple syrup - and WHOA! It's the best damn coffee drink I've ever had - no joke. Very refreshing, one of a kind, they need to bottle this up. I have bought a few of their coffee beans as they have a plethora of offerings. What I love about them is they offer high quality products, they know their beans, the origin, and have a specific roasting process that sustains the integrity of the bean. I can't say enough about them - only 4 bucks for a cup of coffee soda and they will give you free refills during your time there. Sometimes I come here just for their coffee soda - The pickles and jarred jelly couple up front - I have bought from them, and I love their garlic sweet and hot pickle chips. The juice can be used as a salad dressing too. Of the various pickles I've tried in the past from other vendors, these guys taste the best IMO. Huge selection too - The pickled green beans and beef / turkey jerky guy - - I buy from him on a regular basis. My favorite is the garlic picked green beans - LOVE THEM! Growing up in Michigan my bff's mom made the same and called them "Dilly Beans". I buy 3 jars at a time, you get a buck off, and if you spend a certain amount you get a $10 credit. Jerky is pretty solid too - the hot is really hot btw. He's an all around nice guy too. - The garlic puree lady - oh yeah - she makes this awesome garlic puree that you can basically put on ANYTHING! Very deep and potent garlic flavor, rub it on your chicken, I rubbed it on my grilled cheese before I put it on the skillet - WOW! I love garlic. - The kambucha girl - she's gone but her stand is still there, they have some unique flavors such as blueberry, peach, ginger lemon, and you can mix and match. I am a regular here and bring back the glass bottle and get a buck off. - The Empanada stand up front to the right - they are also at Sunset Farmers Market. My favorite is the bolognaise, brisket, and the strawberry / rhubarb. Love their sauces too! Other vendors I have bought from there and really like: - Fresh veggies - Fresh peppers - Salsa guy makes some good salsa (from Llano I think) - The cheese guy has some nice cold smoked cheeses - The salsa / tomato puree / bbq sauce / queso / jalapeno ranch girl - oh man she's got some goodies (also at Sunset). Best damn queso ever. Seriously. - Microgreen dudes - yes they are full of flavor and I love em There are a lot of great vendors here, many more that I may have forgotten, but I've always had a great experience here and everyone is always so very nice and pleasing.
