So the first thing we did was buy a humane trap to see if we could catch him and then release him! Well we caught our Neighbors cat, and a raccoon, both solid catches, but the ground hog still was laughing in our face, so we hired Critter Control to humanely catch him. Wade from Critter Control gave us some tips, and set out some humane traps, he was great about working with our schedules and came back to check traps often and came right away once we had caught...... wait for it... a possum! Oh well we think our ground hog is gone, and we have sealed up his former home, but if he comes back it's nice to know we can call Wade and he can humanely catch something!

my wife and i live in a big old house - 110+ years and still going strong - in oak park. we have…read morescores of trees, shrubs, bushes, and garden veggies outside, and have had plenty of multi-legged unwanted visitors INSIDE. i managed to get rid of the attic raccoons, bats, and odd squirrels, but those darned ants and other weird squiggly things ultimately made me throw in the towel, along with my various cans of bug spray. a friend recommended dan, the bugman, and we've never looked back. dan, and over the years, also his son and daughter, have taken extraordinary care of our house, making twice annual visits, with other spot visits as the little buggers found new ways in. dan is EXTREMELY kind, courteous, and terribly patient with me as he explains every answer to the multitude of questions i come up with. he also is really great to point out ways that we can improve the imperviousness of our house and foundation, in our joint on-going war against intruders. but most importantly, the stuff he uses - sprays, powders, and magic potions - are ALL totally safe for our many greyhounds and other sighthounds we have here at the orphanage. he gets along with our dogs very well, and isn't bothered by their rampant enthusiasm, nor are his kids. i cannot say enough about dan. (in fact, i sent his contact info to another friend again just this morning.) he's great, his services are exemplary, oh, and the prices are VERY REASONABLE. why pay more and get less, when you can get "Dan, the Bugman" to do the job better?
