been wanting to try this place for a while and our visit was great! we were seated quickly despite being a saturday night. the environment is that of a sports bar but with a more cozy and home feel. they were playing the football game in the speakers. i ordered a beer and the prime burger. the burger was juicy and delicious. my only complaint was that there wasn't a lot of the shaved prime rib on the burger as i'd hope. other than that, perfect. fries were crispy and pretty standard. we also ordered the zingers melt and the chicken was just okay. not as crispy as i'd hope for. overall, great experience and our service was good. our server was professional and prompt. i'd definitely come back in the future to try other things on their menu. they have cheap drinks too. read more

We passed by this place several times and decided to dine here for dinner. I ordered the 6oz sirloin with brocolli and cilantro lime rice. The steak had a nice flavor. The broccoli and cilantro lime rice were honestly just not good. The broccoli did not taste fresh, the rice was over cooked and also had corn in it. Hated the sides. I also ordered the brownie sundae which was large enough for our party of 6 and was delicious. Everyone else seemed pleased with the wings and chicken tender salad. First time here. We are vacationing from out of town got stuck in rain. The zingers mountain melt and pretzel app were 10/10. The zinger fingers were some of the best tenders we've ever eaten. We are big Canes fans and these were different but so soft and flavorful! Menu items we had were the nachos, quesadillas, lobster ravioli and blackened chicken alfredo. All were good. We've never been to a Miller's Ale House, so we gave it a try on a Tuesday night. When you walk in, WOW, wide open, nice seating, a bar with so many Beer taps. What a great first impression! We took a booth. The beer menu was first. Despite the huge number of handles, the beer selection was basic National brands, and I guess I was expecting more craft brews. I elected a Goose island IPA. My wife went for a Margarita (it was a mix, not fresh), that she enjoyed. It was only $10. For the meal, I found out that Tuesday is "rib night", so I ordered a rack of Ribs ($16.99) and my wife elected the Cajun chicken pasta (which was actually my second choice). I have to say, the ribs were dry and very salty, served with french fries equally over-salted. My wife had very little of her pasta, so I tried it. It was nicely spiced-up, but again, had probably a pound of salt added to it. Essentially it was inedible. I don't think anyone could eat it, and I am a lover of spicy foods. So the final scores. Atmosphere - 5 stars, Quality of food - 1 star, Quantity of food - 4 stars, and Cost - 5 stars. Teh service was great by Dakota. Well done! Unfortunately they use the payment system I hate, hate, hate. I wanted to give her a big tip, but as is somewhat a trend, the final tally is using a hand-held computer device that simply gives you the final cost with tax, so I - as usual - found myself trying to calculate the FL tax and deduct it from the final cost, then tip for 22% of that, etc.... This practice is becoming widespread and, sadly, Miller's Ale House is an offender. We will not go again. Too bad, they had a lot going for them. read more

I grabbed a seat at the bar and was lucky enough to be served by Chris (I think he goes by "Old School"). What a character! He kept the whole bar laughing, chatting, and having a great time--exactly the kind of vibe you want on a hot Florida day. Speaking of hot, it was about 178 degrees outside, so that ice-cold Blue Moon hit the spot perfectly. Crisp, refreshing, and poured just right. Now let's talk food. I ordered their world-famous Zingers (boneless wings), and let me tell you: believe the hype. These were easily the best I've had--fresh, fast, and packed with flavor. No other restaurant comes close. Trust me: GET. THE. ZINGERS. What really impressed me, though, was the service beyond the bar. Two different managers came over to check in on me--Eric and the General Manager, Ron. Ron was especially great: personable, welcoming, and clearly leading by example. Saw three and a half stars on this place and I had to chime in. Watched NFL games with lots of viewable screens. Had prime rib special that was above expectation for cook and the cut of meat. The bartender was there at each needed moment so service was top of the experience. The staff set us up to view the games we wanted for a great experience. With so many good restaurants around, this is a definite hard pass for the future. Friends don't like seafood so they wanted to go somewhere where they could get other kinds of food. Husband had chicken parmigiana - the chicken was over battered, over fried and just murdered. The red sauce was right out of a jar and the pasta was overcooked. Nothing look good to me. So I had the grilled shrimp and chicken Cobb salad. You would think they could get it right? The 4(!) shrimp were overcooked, the tiny 5 slices of chicken were fine. The blue cheese dressing was way too sour and not hardly any blue cheese in it. Lastly, I had the prickly pear. Margarita. Our table of a thought. I had a lot of alcohol for $10. Miller's Ale House is our go to restaurant in Destin during the snow bird season. The food is good, portions are ample and the servers are friendly; it's one of the best values in the area. We like the TV's and sports bar vibe, but it's not overwhelming; you can talk at your table without having to yell over background sounds. Food was good for the most part. Service was good from our servers...they were lovely. Totally disappointed with the manager...Eric. We had a kid with a good allergy and another kid with a food issue and he couldn't accommodate our simple request for pasta with sauce. When you go out to eat on vacation and buying drinks and appetizers you kind of expect to be accommodated and in this case it was a big no. Stopped by dinner during our stay in Destin. We ordered zingers and wings with sauce on the side and garlic Parmesan chips . They were best part of the meal. Ordered half rack ribs, which was meh! Ribs has a optional coleslaw. Coleslaw was spoiled, when we asked the waitress, she said it complimentary and not much she could do about it. Came here with a party of 9, and were quoted around 45 minutes. They offered to seat us at the bar to grab a drink while waiting, and the wait time flew by quickly. Once seated, we were presented with the limited menu. I saw another reviewer mention this, but this was understandable since they were short staffed. There were still plenty of options, and everyone in my party found something they wanted. I had the sirloin, and it was terrific for the price. Better than some steaks I've had in NYC. I asked for a side salad (nothing special - but wasn't expecting anything much anyway) and it came with garlic broccoli (good but a bit watery). Overall, nice place to eat in Destin. Walked in on a Saturday night to see if they could turn our hockey game on, and they were on it! I believe the guy I talked to was probably the manager, he was so nice and was willing to put the hockey game on pretty much any TV that we wanted. We sat at the bar and had good service. Lots of beers on tap. We ordered the chicken parm alfredo and shrimp scampi bake and they were great! I actually never order chicken Parm and I'm not a huge fan of it and didn't realize that I had ordered until they sat it down, so I was happy that the chicken was actually to the side, but it turned out being so delicious.
