Fudpucker's alligator show was really unique, and we learned a lot about the alligators. I would definitely give the alligator exhibit and educational experience five stars. That was the highlight of our visit. After the show, we ate at the restaurant and tried the alligator bites. Our son also attempted the food challenge -- the burger topped with chili and onion rings, along with three patties and fries, all in under 30 minutes -- but he couldn't quite finish it. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos, and I had the chicken tacos. I was hoping the chicken would be grilled, so overall I would say the food was just OK. Ok it has all the tourist hype and kitch. The gators are there the shop and their t shirts are cute. The food and service are mediocre at best. My husband got the shrimp tacos and they were not great, I got the southwest salad with the blackened redfish. The redfish was good the salad was subpar with plain iceberg lettuce with lots of spotting, our group also had a burger, and the seafood platter. It was all ok but nothing was great. Appetizers, and entrees were all brought out at the same time and part of the party still didn't have their drinks. Built in 20% gratuity and a 5% fud fee for larger parties but our party was split up at different tables but in the same room with separate checks so there were only 5 of us. It's worth a visit, but not repeatable. The alligator photo was a fun souvenir option. The food however was just okay. They have a limited gluten free menu. They did over cook my gluten free bun, and food was seasoned okay. Service however was great. We liked our server, Tanesha, and the guy who took our photo. We got into Florida and to our Hotel around 7p.m we were getting a little Hangry. So just down the road about 4 blocks we found Fudpuckers. I had what they call an Old Fashion a 3 ounce poured Bourbon that they said I'd be speaking Southern when I left. It did have a kick , it was good, and I only had one. With it I had the bacon cheeseburger with fries. Nancy had the Jr. Chicken. We had a excellent server that helped us through the massive menu to get what we wanted. We had a great time visiting with a group! The outdoor bar was a fantastic place to relax, and the lunch service was friendly and efficient. One of the highlights was being able to catch a quick alligator show while we were there--it made the experience even more fun. There are alligators in a pond and a playground It was late for me for dinner and I was having a difficult time finding something to order. First time here and I've been to Destin many times. Greeted with a smile at the door and started immediately. Restaurant is decorated to be fun. There is a restaurant and a gator experience. I'm only rating the gator experience. $5 to feed the gators. $20 ish for a photo with the gator. The man who sells the food for gator feeding and photos is also the speaker for the gator show. It seems like a one man operation. He is lovely and helpful and has lots of gator facts. It's hot if it's hot luckily we were there on a mild day. Kids were loving it! I think more seats for those of us who have to wait would be nice. read more

The tacos were piled high with lettuce, pineapple slaw, their signature remoulade sauce, pico de gallo, and cheese. Downstairs, they have various exhibits with baby alligators, and outside in the front, they host alligator shows every 2 hours. I recommend arriving early, as it gets busy quickly. David at the bar was super nice and was on top of the recommendations!! I was looking for something super tasty and not super heavy! I was also looking for strong drink! His recommendation of the fish tacos didn't disappoint! As you can see I smashed all three and now need to be rolled out of here lol. This is a family friendly spot and the portions seem to be really nice sizes. So be prepared to take food home. I'm here for work and this spot was within walking distance from my hotel and the beach. I believe they also have real Gators on site for viewing. Such a great place to go to see baby alligators. There were so many baby gators. There were also some gators feeding show, which we missed since it is only at a set time. This place also has a kids play area which was nice. We also heard someone singing near the bar area. This place is a great place to go to when visiting Destin. The staff were super nice. We learned that they will keep the alligators until they are about six feet then will take them somewhere to release them, since they will be too big for this place. read more

We were seated promptly but not together. Our group was divided between 2 tables into 2 separate groups. My daughter had the Gator Tail A La Fud appetizer ($19.99). It met expectations and the dipping sauce was good. I had a cup of Father Fuds Black Bean Chili ($6.99). It also met expectations. With 1 Lemonade and 1 Hawaiian Margarita bucket. The final bill was $63.49. Even though we were not seated together as a group. We were still charged- what our server intentionally called a "large group service fee" (groups of 10 or more). However, It was itemized as a 20% gratuity included on the bill, which led to some confusion. The server met expectations. He was good at explaining the menu and making suggestions. He did take the opportunity to promote his new podcast on several occasions. The food came out in a timely manor with no problems. Overall the experience was good. The service was great but unfortunately it could not mask the poor quality of the food. I value consistency when dining out but that was the biggest issue here. Around our table, the dishes were consistently lukewarm to cold. Another note: the alligator show is about ten minutes long and mostly consists of a handful of "fact or fiction" style questions. It's a nice little distraction while waiting on a table, but it's not something I would go out of my way to see or plan a visit around. My family does an annual beach trip to this area, and unfortunately we will not be returning to Fudpucker's Beachside Bar & Grill. They kinda taste like fried potato balls with crab imo The shrimp was cooked well and the soup was surprisingly good! I wasn't sure about the squash but it works. Like a thinner chowder. Lastly, the fish was overcooked into the great beyond and quite tough as a result so not sure if they don't like to do grilled or what.
