Came earlier this month. Bartenders are getting a little stale, but they are less choosy about who they show enthusiasm to based on their perception of how much a customer is able to tip them. I definitely felt much less tip discrimination this year than last year and previous years. I always come and get the burger which is fantastic, but after trying their gulf catch fish sandwich...My God... I think I would choose that over the burger if I had to choose from the two as my last meal on Earth. Blue dunes salad with blackened chicken and the white vinaigrette was delectable as always. Peel and eat shrimp were good. Prices are going to be high because of the convenience. View and vibes are amazing. read more

I ordered the Buffalo wings and they came out pretty quick, hot and crispy. Traditional btw but I'd say pretty good. Not very spicy but flavor was good. The ranch kinda sucks tho. Sister got Caesar salad and chicken, chicken had flavor and salad seemed fresh. Friend got grilled cheese and it was good too. Day 2 I got the Caesar salad and chicken blackened and it hit again! This place is terrible to sum it up! Horrible, overpriced food. Haven't tried the drinks myself, but heard from other people that they weren't good. I wouldn't eat here again. The only thing this place has going for them is that it's on the beach and people don't have to go far to get food. I would stay away. read more

I love staying at TOPS'L Beach & Racquet Resort and one of the reasons why is this beachside restaurant and bar. It is so convenient, so tasty, and the service is great. I love that I can come right up from the beach, take a seat, order a drink and food all without having to change out of my swimsuit and cover up. While I was visiting, I got the cheeseburger and fries and the BBQ Chicken flat bread. Both tasted great, but I liked the burger more. It was more filling since it was served with a side of fries. My go-to drink was the strawberry daiquiri. It tasted great too. If you are staying at TOPS'L, then definitely eat here for lunch. You won't have to leave property to find lunch or go back to your room to cook. That way you can have more beach time! read more

The view is amazing! It's right on the beach. I ordered the wings and they gave me extra. My boyfriend got a burger which was juicy with thick seasoned fries. The food had great portion sizes. We had to kinda stand around when we arrived and wound up seating ourselves and the server took a while to come to the table. The reason I'm giving it four stars is because they don't except cash and didn't tell us beforehand. And they swipe your card before you even get your food and eat, which I didn't like. The server kinda pretended that it was unique to our situation because my bf had a debit card, but I found out from a friend who ate there earlier that day the same was done to them. Location was convenient since we were staying at the TOPS'L resort, but the food was cafeteria quality. I understand that it's a premium price given the location, but you should be able to expect better than what they served. We had an appetizer and 4 different meals. None of which were good. Only reason I didn't give it 1 star was because of the convenience factor. read more

Some of the past reviews of this location weren't the best, but we tried it anyway since the last review was over 6 months ago. The food was very good in my opinion if you want just a quick bite to eat. The prices are reasonable, the view is great from the outdoor seating, and everyone was very nice and friendly. It is right by a public pool but in the evenings it settles down and is a nice location to grab a beer and a burger. Kitchen is only open until 7pm and bar until 8pm so be mindful of that. read more

While convenient and casual for Topsl guests, this place has its drawbacks. First off, they don't accept cash. Secondly, the mixed drinks were watery, small, and the automatic gratuity made them $12.50 each. The food was actually pretty good but a bit pricy. Disgusting. Food was awful. Drinks had rotten fruit. 3 meals and 2 drinks 100+$$. Probably cheaper to take uber a few min down road and order a meal then to eat here. First time here and very disappointed. They didn't even open the beers even after receiving a very generous tip. The food is still burning a hole in stomach 4+ hours later. Bad deal. This restaurant is part of the Tops'l complex and so convenient for everyone staying there. They now serve breakfast tacos, lunch and dinner, with a few specials for dinner. The food is just traditional, basic poolside food, but they have a good variety and everything is well made and delicious. read more

I just sat down at the bar for 15 min and not one of the four people behind the bar asked if I'd like anything. I guess my wallet sitting on the bar was not a good clue. I will be here 6 more days but will not go back to this bar. Last year the service was much better. read more

Blue Dunes Grille is the beachfront restaurant and bar at TOPS'L Beach and Racquet Resort. It is next to the two pools at the Tides building. This place is the best! They have a walk-up tiki bar for quick drinks and a restaurant perfect for a snack or a full blown meal. I wrote this review for the sole purpose of posting about the Chicken Pasta Salad. We have been coming to TOPS'L for nearly 10 years and I always have to make sure to get this dish at least once on our trip. It is basically grilled chicken breast served over pasta salad, but it is so much more than that. It is blackened chicken breast cooked just right and then sliced. It is served over a rotini pasta salad that consists of rotini, feta, black olives, tomatoes and creamy balsamic dressing. I don't like olives so I just eat around them - they don't affect the taste of this dish. The creamy balsamic dressing is what really makes this dish. It is like nothing I've had before. All of their other food is very good as well and the staff is the absolute best. Blue Dunes Grille and Tiki bar are some of the best parts about staying at TOPS'L. They took our credit card right after we ordered and wouldn't give it back! We had to ask and our waiter was acting like she forgot about it. For four people the price of our meal was over $100 and was super low quality! There were really sketchy vibes there and it was not welcoming at all! Yum! Nice variety of beach fare. Not inexpensive, but pricing typical of resort restaurants. The kids menu is about the same price as the regular menu. The grilled cheese was outstanding but $8.99 seemed high for a child's meal. The food is served on interesting wood paper plates. We are staying at Tops'l and have eaten at Blue Dunes 3x this week and will happily eat their again. Oh yeah! Love the shrimp roll. Update: the next grilled cheese we ordered wasn't as spectacular. The fries were still yum. Update: I guess that one grilled cheese was a singular sensation....the next one was ok. BTW....Ever member of the wait staff we interacted with were fantastic.
