They were heavy and light at the same time--the masterful medley of perfectly-balanced dough filled to the gills with rich cream. A swipe of frosting on top made my life. My fingers are trembling as I write this. It's a combination of post-coital sugar shock and delight from having a real donut for the first time in a long time.
