Breakfast is a 5!!! The rest of the menu is a 0-2. The menu should be only breakfast items. Anytime we have veered off the path and ordered lunch or dinner items, it has been a horrible experience. Yesterday my in-laws ordered country fried steak with mashed potatoes and mac-n-cheese. My husband and I had pancakes, made our own Grand slam. You can select 4 items for $11.79, I believe. We each chose 2 orders of pancakes, and I had 2 sides of bacon as my other 2 choices. Hubby chose scrambled eggs and sausage links for his other 2 sides. The pancakes, bacon, sausage and eggs were fantastic, as usual. The pancakes taste like glazed donuts, so yummy!!! However, their country fried steak never should be served. Mother-in-law said it tasted like it had been peelioff the road. My husband had a bite of it, and he thought it was equally horrid! Father- in- law ate it, but wasn't thrilled, and wouldn't order it again. Hubby said you get MUCH better quality in Walmart's frozen department. Their mashed potatoes were runny, the gravy was foul, and it even looked horrible. The mac-n-cheese was actually pretty good, but when their bill came, they were charged nearly $4 for each mac-n-cheese!!! A TINY bowl for $4, and it was supposed to be one of their 2 sides included in the meal! Of course we got that removed from the bill, but how in the world do they think a very tiny bowl of it, that MIGHT have equaled a half cup was worth $4?! When the waitress rattles off the sides, and says mac-n-cheese, do not get it, because it's not supposed to be an option! It costs extra, and you hardly get any! This location is a real crap shoot. Sometimes their cook just walks out, other times it's ok. Breakfast is their only constant winner..... EXCEPT their shredded hash browns. They are never cooked properly. They do not stir them when cooking. They dump them into the pan, let slightly brown, and I mean very slightly, turn the whole thing over and let slightly brown on the other side, then they plate it. What you get has a hint of brown, and completely uncooked in the middle layer!!! They can't do mashed potatoes either, as I stated earlier, so anything potato, just don't do it! Not sure about fries. If it's not breakfast, just don't do it, and skip hashbrowns! read more

Building was freezing, probably 50° to be honest. There's only one girl working up in the front by herself, juggling between 9 tables. I get it's the night shift but seriously you can't be a 24 hour restaurant and not have more than 1 person working. read more

Stopped for supper and I had a short wait to be seated. The entrance and checkout area is very small so there was a bottleneck of patrons trying to pay and trying to be seated. Once I was seated, things were much better. First, it's a Denny's. I have been in several across the country and they are much the same. My food was good. My server was awesome (Cheyenne) and was super friendly and she cared about her job. She interacted with the other tables the same as she did with me, friendly and helpful. I was going to try another local restaurant but it had worse reviews. I am glad I stopped here. Seems Denny's is always there and is open on holidays, as they were when I stopped. I had occasion to visit the Denny's on E. High Street in New Philadelphia, OH around noon today. Wife and I have visited plenty of times in the past. I arrived about 12:50 PM and had to wait until 1:00 to be acknowledged then was seated-ordered coffee, it was brought right away. THEN, after waiting until 1:30, I still hadn't been waited on! One server, one "manager(?) and one person busing tables. Server passed me by a few times and still didn't stop by to take my order! After waiting for 30 minutes I finally got tired of waiting; left $2 for the coffee and walked out, telling the buser I had left money on the table for the coffee and would NOT be back! You would think Denny's could hire another server or 2 to keep from losing business. Another couple got tired of waiting and also walked out! You lost a good customer, Denny's! read more

Monday, December 23, 2024 around 6 pm my husband and I walked into the Dennys in New Philly. It looked dead in there. Some girl comes up to us, no greeting, no anything, I say "table for two". She says "there's a 45 minute wait." I'm like "Why? there's all these empty tables." Then walked out. Ridiculous. read more

I doordashed from here. Lets just say this place should no longer be open. My biscuit was soaked and wet, the gravy had dried up chunks of who knows what. My pancakes, werent pancakes they crumbled and looked like they were reheated. My bacon was burnt so the only thing that was decent was my hashbrowns and they werent even cooked all the way. I now understand why so many people do not like the food or service at this locatio. They dont even try to satisfy their customer. read more

The food was okay and that is about it for the positive comments. The dining room floor had food on it, the waitress completely ignored my table. We counted all of the people that were seated after us and served and paid for their meals before we even got our food. The register needed to be rebooted so it took another 15 minutes of standing around until the hostess finally said we could pay with exact change. There was a lot of miscommunication with regards to a coupon. The waitress said we could use it while the hostess said no. I walked past the kitchen and saw trash on the kitchen floor. A dinner I won't soon forget from June 2012. Not good. Not a late night breakfast person I ordered "fish tacos" based on a picture from the menu. It looked like a frozen fish filet heated and ripped in half by an angry chef, thrown partway into two tortillas with wimpy shredded lettuce. The best part was the chunks of avocado. No tomato and absolutely NO resemblance to the enticing menu photo. Very disappointing, good only for a sick laugh and NOW I get a little satisfaction posting this on Yelp. See photo posted. Well to start this off we were Rudely introduced by a unkind female, she then proceeded to sit us at a dirt table and told me how to get my burger not how I wanted it but how she wanted it, then gave me a refil after an hour of me waiting on a damn water asked twice had to fill it up in the sink in the bathroom which was piss warm melted all my ice because it only has one damn setting fries had enough salt to keep the roads ice free in ohio safe to say I will not be returning anytime soon actually never because this place sucks ass. Had dinner with my boyfriend and his friends and after 40 mins our food finally came and she dropped our checks off and went after one of my boyfriends friends which he told her ALL the money was on the table which, even knowing he said that, then CHASED us down in the parking lot and went off on us on not paying which I then proceeded to tell her the money was on the table just like the other guy told her it was. I went back after a while of being annoyed and told her how I was a server like she was and would NEVER go off on anyone if I wasn't 100% sure if they paid or not. To be honest I wouldn't go off on someone even if that didn't pay, I would just go out and ask them to obviously pay instead of running outside screaming (even after stopping the other guy who told her ALL of the money was there) and embarrass customers freaking out on them to pay. Right after moving to the area from Louisiana in early 1999, we tried this Denny's for supper-at the time, we were greatly disappointed. The place was dirty, with ground-in food on the dirty carpet, service wasn't great and food was mediocre. Since the change of management some years ago, Denny's is now a nice place to eat. Other restaurants in the area have a long wait time but we've always managed to be seated quickly here now; very clean, servers are great and, all in all, a great place to eat with good food! read more

Food is okay. I only had one return in the few years I've eaten there. The restaurant has been remodeled. Comfortable atmosphere. They need more servers. The food is cheap so it's easy to feed a family of 5 there. But there were no fans and the flies kept landing on my families food.

Upon entering the "restaurant" we were greeted by saying 50 second wait. I was then immediately oppresed by the waiter because she said I can not use the word hate. As we were sat down by our waiter Connie she asked what we all wanted to drink and then went into the kitchen. As we got our food she had realized that we had not gotten out drinks yet. Came to this Denny's because it's close to home. The waitstaff were arguing and swearing. It took 13 minutes for them to seat us in, with multiple empty seats. The older waitress was rude and confrontational with other waitress'. There was a line of people at the door and 3 dirty tables and 6 empty. I would give 0 stars if possible. read more

I was there yesterday for breakfast with some friends. I agree they need more servers. The timing is quite long for breakfast. Although it's been remodeled as mentioned, a good cleaning is needed. There's visible dust around the pictures on the wall. I chased a small spider that came out of my booth. I was uneasy after that jut left a proper tip. It's not the servers fault. read more

Its a Denny's. Not much more to say. My family avoids here. Almost always upsets my stomach. Food is usually cold and is mostly bland.

Took my kids there for dinner and the smell hit as soon as we opened the door. Wet dirty dog. It continued through the entire restaurant. The floors were stained badly. I will not go back to this Denny's at all. the hostess was rude to start with. first impressions are a must in any business. was there last night with my daycare children for a treat. one of the children wanted Denny's cause they are good. well lets say she (6 yrs old) was so disappointed and was not afraid to say so. after being seated, that's when we became invincible. with the exception of one waitress who did her best to Pease my children. she got the kids their drinks and apples + my one child's cubes. after that nothing.
