Outlet By La Z Boy - My Chair

Buying a recliner is like buying new shoes. You have to try them on and test them out--and after…read moreworking through many options, it can feel confusing. I was hesitant to go into the Outlet by La-Z-Boy because I anticipated high-pressure sales. But I was pleasantly surprised by Corey, who greeted me, heard my request for the freedom to start 'trying on' chairs, and gave me room to explore. He touched base with me a couple of times, then actually sat with me as I "thought out loud" about my options. When I finally narrowed the choice down to two, there was one I liked just a little better, but the back felt "loose." Corey took the time to educate me on how to tighten the tension--and he actually made a quick change which fixed my concern. The chair was perfect. Corey also taught me the life hack for removing and easily replacing the back so that I wouldn't be confused at home. I was impressed, when I confirmed my choice, to see the whole team jump into action--working together to prep my chair for the trip home. A couple folks took the chair to the back to wrap in plastic, while Corey worked with me to process the purchase. Rather than just taking my payment, he and his colleagues interacted with me in a way that made me feel like my satisfaction was their only goal. They were jovial and educational and quick to provide answers for all of my questions. I came in for a chair, but I was being stewarded with "good vibes" that made me feel great about the whole experience. Corey gave me a blanket as a housewarming gift, then he and one of the guys who had worked with me at the register met me out back. They carefully loaded the car while we talked and laughed and I was on my way. It was some of the BEST customer service i have experienced. Corey and the others are the folks I will contact FIRST for all of my future furniture needs. I am grateful and feel very blessed.

I'd been working with Cory on a number of occasions but he was busy today and Terry stepped in to help me. I was in the buy today mode. I had sat in the type that I wanted but had bought yet. I took the time to sit in the ones I had as potential candidates. Talked with Terry for quite a while about the different options. He was truly the Professional and helped walk me through exactly what I was looking for. A true professional, not rushing me but explaining EVERYTHING I wanted to know about my chair. Ended up buying today, will return tomorrow to pick it up. If you're interested in getting new furniture at quite the discount, this is definitely a great option.

But, it's more interesting than your standard home decor place. And the cool stuff is there, just, well, spread out, and mixed with lots of furniture. They have the local stuff, the smartass sayings on towels, etc. And they have interesting items for your house. I was looking for a lamp, and didn't find what I want, but they had dozens of cool ones. Plus, lots of things to give me ideas for how to arrange rooms someday, maybe when we don't have to worry about Baby K spilling stuff... A couple of people came up to help me, which was nice, and they had good suggestions. Prices seem okay; a bit high, but then, it's Easton, and it's interesting stuff.

As someone who has bought a lot from Elm & Iron, this location makes me disappointed to have spent any money with them, as I'd rather support another local business that creates a kind and welcoming atmosphere to shop. Elm & Iron always has a great selection with some neat (though often pricey) pieces. Usually, the staff are friendly and helpful. At this location, that is not the case. Staff ignore customers and are quite rude. If this was the first location of Elm & Iron I went to, I'd be quite turned off by the brand and unlikely to stop by their other stores. If you want to shop at Elm & Iron, go to Clintonville or the Cincinnati shops, if in the area. Can't recommend the Easton shop.

He didn't pressure or nag me. He answered a few questions, hung back. I recommend him to others. That makes me feel better because I really wanted to like this place. First of all, it isn't the greatest location--a favorite area for outlets. They have a cool concept of 3 stores in one which is what brought us there originally. We wanted to check out the Fifty Off store next door. However, we decided to check out the Front Room Furnishings quickly. We were surprised they seemed to he having a good sale, better than when we had last visited the Polaris location. We were starting to get a little excited, and Kelli came over to help us. She was really nice that first day, although a little overbearing and pushy for my tastes. We got very close to wanting to purchase a couch that day. However, we had only expected to browse briefly and ran out of time before dinner. Pregnant women need to eat! So we decided to come back again and finish our purchase another day. It was the second visit where it went downhill. We had come ready to wrap up our couch purchase. However, Kelli was having major issues this time. Forget the customer is always right. She kept going out of her way to try to put me down and prove I was stupid, and she was smart. (Even though it was obvious at least once that she was wrong about something, saying for sure a couch was in one area of the store until her associate pointed out it was in a completely different area). I was rather irritated and thought my husband didn't notice her repetitive, rude jabs since she was primarily trying to do it behind his back. We ran out of time before pregnant hunger came back again, and then I was starting to have big doubts, especially about giving Kelli any commission with her horrendous customer service skills. As we were leaving I shared my concerns about Kelli and asked if he had noticed. He said he had definitely noticed, but if I was fine, he didn't want to sour the whole scene. He added that no she definitely wasn't treating you right, and that was wrong. So we both decided that we would either go to the Dublin or Polaris store or at least ask for a different sales person. However, it turned out that whole sour experience derailed us, and we never went back to purchase the couch during that sale. What I did like about Front Room, is that many of their couches are USA made. There are also a lot of customization features. But like I said, if we do go back, we are surely staying away from Kelli and probably this location in general.

It wasn't even level, and they got wood shavings and dust all over my new gas range! Of course a call was made to the store, who referred us to their delivery people (third party by the way). They arranged for a different two delivery guys to come and re-install our unit. They moved the range and unplugged the electric outlet for safety (yay, good job). They were supposed to move my old refrigerator to my garage. They brought in the new refrigerator and at some point during the delivery shoved a phone with a cracked screen in my face to sign. I couldn't even read it with the tiny print I assumed it was saying I had received the items. NO it said that they could cause any damage to my home and were not liable. BEWARE If you choose not to sign this agreement they will refuse to make your delivery. I have NEVER had any company do this. My back door was damaged and my kitchen floor was scratched beyond repair they stole my old refrigerator and they failed to install a moisture barrier on the dishwasher that is necessary to keep my countertop from warping. Big Sandy's reply to all this was well you are out of luck because you signed our waiver. I was talked into purchasing a five year warranty. I'm afraid that using that would be another nightmare. What more could they do and then tell me to stick it because I signed some cracked phone that says they aren't liable? Unless you don't care about your house and the stuff you bought don't shop at Big Sandy. Their policies are outrageous. I'm sure not doing any further business with them and I am going to the BBB about some of the things that have gone with the purchase and delivery of my items. Run don't walk to any other company.
