They extensively cleaned and replaced all worn out or damaged equipment, including the pump. Yesterday, I noticed I didn't smell the new pads through the cooler and it was blowing hot air. I called and was given an appointment for several days out since this is one of their busiest times of year. Today I received a call indicating that they had a tech they could send out this afternoon to address my issue earlier than scheduled. They came and replaced the broken pump immediately, which addressed the problem. It was all under warranty and I wasn't charged. My issue was quickly resolved and honestly, I really appreciate the receptionist at Thompson's. She is kind, personable, helpful and she got me in sooner than anticipated. Both techs that I've worked with are personable, professional, and competent. I always appreciate excellent customer service and Thompson's definitely has it. This was over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, I called 6 other HVAC companies and Desert Suns called back in under 30 minutes. They rewired, relocated the Nest and also did some preventative maintenance. The Tech was super nice, explained everything and didn't leave a speck of dust behind. He just entered my property and did the work and then left. It took this Yelp review to FINALLY get some answers. 6 months of me calling Russell's phone, business line and emails with NOT ONE RESPONSE to put a fire under his and DesignCo's feet. So yeah the roof isn't leaking as of now and hopefully it won't once the out of nowhere severe rain storms and occasional snow storm hits us here in Albuquerque. I was told that the front door overhang is not DesignCo's responsibility because they were not paid to repair or replace the 4x4 plywood. Even though it was damaged and replaced by a flimsy 1/4" 4x4 sheet when the had to replace the roof due to shotty workmanship. It rained during that time so the overhang was damaged from the inside out. But DesignCo claims they're not responsible because it wasn't part of the job to begin with but because of DesignCo it was damaged. I was told I was trying to get some freebies and that my roof is closer to 8 years old and not 5. I know it's 5 because I got the date from the pics I took during the installation of the first roof. So anyhow! Apparently my leak has been fixed but the 3 shades of gray, the front door overhang and the small triangular piece of facia. I'm Done! The overhang and facia I can replace myself. The 3 shades of gray and my roof looking older than the 2 neighbors who had their roofs replaced right after mine and still looking great. I'll just have to live with it! Would I recommend DesignCo for any type of roof work. NO! As far as the construction side of DesignCo? I have no idea so I won't say anything negative about their construction. All it took was 2 phone calls! 1 rom the guy to let me know he was coming to fix the leak, let us know it was done and a good bye. Second phone would have or should have been from Russell and or DesignCo notifying me that the gut came and did whatever. But NO! I had to make once a week calls and emails and I believe there were a few text for 6 months with NO response or replies and this Review wouldn't exist. Now I'm asked to remove it because they went beyond with their services. Which was another thing. Don't say you'll be there and never show up! This is what started all of this. So NO I will not remove my Review but have updated that the leak was supposedly repaired and I will not be asking for advice on how to Sue DesignCo.

We needed to upgrade our entire HVAC system due to rising energy costs. They came out for for a quote and check what we needed. When the consult and quote was done, within 2 days we were scheduled and installation began. The crew was professional and quick with the work. Now, we have a system that is so much more comfortable and keeps all rooms at a constant temperature. Five rooms, 5 room systems and 2 outside units with all electrical and ductwork was done in 1 1/2 days. The cool part of the system is it's controlled by remote, and there's one in each room, but if one is lost, they work on the rest, Awesome thing about this system, each room can be set to heat, cool and automatic control. You set the temp you want (all function controlled by remote control) and how powerful you want the fan, you can set it to sweep back and forth etc... One thing I do want to say that I was able to dictate the placement of the unit in our bedroom. Although it may have been easier for the crew to place the unit a wall closer to the outside unit, I requested another wall so I did not have to move family pictures and special things. The owner told me, that I had to live with it, so they would do what I wanted. I'm disabled and having thing's comfortable isn't always easy. The cost of this system is worth every penny. The speed of process from time of initial contact to completion was about a week. Thanks to the crew who came out and made our home more comfortable. We got it just in time for a really cold, snowy and windy storm and all the rooms were so comfy. They are a professional, knowledgeable, and polite crew.

We decided to replace the system, it was obsolete and had multiple serious issues. Glenn helped us choose the perfect system, and at the busiest time of the year, managed to fit us into the schedule. Efraín did a beautiful installation inside and out, with custom sheet metal work to make a perfect fit. The system is fantastic and the price was unbeatable. They'll even show me how to do the annual maintenance myself, instead of trying to sign me up to a service that I won't need. That's integrity. Efraín is the lead technician, has 21 years experience, and is a perfectionist. That is evident in his attention to detail and refusal to give up if there is still an unresolved issue. This house had a long-standing issue with modified drains and plumbing vents that had defied diagnosis, but Efraín would not give up. He solved the mystery that no one else had, finding a vent that had been mistakenly cut and capped long ago. Jake is a young technician learning from the master, and he is very hard working and thorough. They reconstructed that vent and restored the function of those drains. They did a magnificent job and left the house feeling renewed and loved. All the while, I was asking questions about anything and everything, and Efraín did not mind answering them and helping me learn how to care for things going forward. I do love this house and it matters to me who works on it and the energy they bring. Glenn, Efraín and Jake brought a degree of care, compassion, and expertise that gave me tremendous peace of mind.
