We got a flat on the way to Lone Pine California, and we just stayed night in my hometown and took car to Miller's. They said fred would help out. We paid only 50.00 for patch, but we were able to be on the way. Good company and good talk

Helped me out big time when my jeep got stuck in the mud in Death Valley. The only tow place around so they kind of have you by the balls. Paid $1400 to be pulled out but that was my only option.

This is our sad motorhome at the corner of Willow and 395 on Sunday night.

Here's the story about John Miller and how he saved us. We traveled from Northridge to lone Pine on Sunday morning once we got to lone Pine our 32 foot motorhome died. AAA couldn't help and finally someone recommended Miller towing. When I called on Sunday around noon, John answered the phone and proceeded to tell us that all we needed to do was wait and then once it was around midnight, we could add fresh cool gas to our tank that was probably vapor locked and head back home the coolest point of the day. it was a miracle to us. It was 100% correct and we made it home safely by 6 o'clock in the morning I would recommend Miller towing to any and everyone who needs help or just plain old advice

So my 2007 Chevy truck broke an axle and upper arm on a Dirt road just outside Lone pine (in the snow) My Good Sam towing couldn't find anyone to help me. They advised me to try to find a tow service locally and they'd reimburse us. A guy drove by with a jeep and recommended Miller towing. We called them. They picked us up and drove us to our Trailer about 6 miles away. John Miller ordered the new parts asap, from G.M. and towed the truck to his Machine shop and fixed everything. He's a great Mechanic and we really lucked out finding him. We were treated like family, and Good Sam did reimburse us 100%

Failed utility trailer tire. Miller's had the proper size in-stock and replaced both tires promptly.

Outstanding customer service!…read more John came out after our transmission overheated in our truck with slide in camper on a Saturday afternoon. My truck was too big for his truck so Mark from CCA came out and towed us back to the shop in Independence. Mark drove me to Bishop to buy parts to flush the tranny that night and let us spend the night in the camper in the yard. Next morning while Mark worked on a van in the bay I flushed the transmission on my truck and we were on our way. If the flush didn't work, Mark was willing to let us drop the camper in the yard and he would drop the transmission, haul to his favorite shop where they generally do a three day turnaround, and reinstall the transmission so I could pick up the truck and camper the following weekend. Mark does not enjoy working on Mercedes FYI.

The tow truck driver suggested we take a tow back to California City Auto. I am extremely careful with how I choose mechanics and will go pretty far our of my way to stick with reliable mechanics I have used in the past. I couldn't find much online about California City Auto but it was looking like it was my only option considering I also had a trailer to think about towing as well. We started to load my tundra up on the tow truck when the mechanic (Marc) showed up to help put it on the tow truck. It was a two man job since my truck was basically sitting on the floor not attached to a tire. Marc is a real "ma n pa" kind of operation (minus the ma), not only did he show up to offer us help at 6:30pm, but he also hooked my trailer to the back of his personal truck to tow back to his shop. That same evening,  I gave him cash for the new ball joint and he drove to Bishop to get the part so he could bang it out first thing in the morning. (Cost an extra $100, but at least we wouldn't have to wait days for the part to show up) In the meantime, he let us camp out on his property, and showed us where the good food was, offered us power and access to his restrooms. The next morning, he couldn't get the tie rod to release from the spindle, after hours of trying, he opted to just cut the tie rod and wait another day for that part to come in, then put her back together. We weren't stoked on this option, but it was what it was. He offered to tow our trailer to the campground to make the best out of our stay. And how nice it was! The next morning, about 9:30 AM, he came rolling into our camp with the truck all fixed up and ready to go. We feel so fortunate to have had Marc our "only" option. He is a nice, honest man and I'd be glad to go back in the future.

Super unprofessional and rude. Long version: Our truck started shaking and the check engine light started flashing about an hour away from the town we were staying in. We stopped here because it was the closest auto shop to us. We walked in and asked how much it was to get a diagnosis. The man said it was $60. We would have driven to Autozone to get the diagnostic code for free but the closest one was 30 minutes away and we weren't sure if the truck would make it. Nevertheless we agreed to do the diagnostic exam here at AR Automotive repair. The man connected the scanner inside the truck and popped the hood. I stayed in the car while my boyfriend stood outside near by. The man didn't say anything to us for about 10 minutes while he tinkered around the engine. Eventually my boyfriend asked if they got a code yet. The man replied that the engine misfired and he is trying to find out why it is misfiring (still diagnosing). Another 10 minutes goes by with the man not saying anything and my boyfriend notices he is taking out the coils and other parts so my boyfriend asked "oh was it the coils?" The man replied that he didn't know and reveals that the misfire was in cylinder 3. Throughout the process the man kept walking back to a work bench to grab tools and other parts and we wanted to confirm that we just wanted a diagnosis not a repair yet until we know what's wrong. We asked if what he was doing was part of the diagnostic and he just replied no without an explanation to what he was doing. My boyfriend stopped him because we wanted to know what needed to be done and pricing for it before we agreed to anything. The man started yelling at us telling us we are too nosy and that he didn't need to tell us what he was doing because that's his job. My boyfriend asked him to put back whatever he took out so we could leave. The man continued to yell at us. I will attach a video. In the video you can hear Boyfriend: "it didn't sound like..." Mechanic: "I was going to tell you hey this is what this is much... if you want me to I was gonna tell you if you want me to work on this it's going to be more" Boyfriend: "but you didn't and then I had to ask you" Mechanic: "cause there's no time to do that! There is no f***king time to say that!" Boyfriend: "when I asked you, you said no it's not part of the diagnosis so that's why-" end of video. I received a call from a family member checking in on the situation which is why the video cut off. The man continued to yell at us while he put back the parts. His co worker asked him to "shut up" and he seemed uncomfortable/apologetic. My boyfriend also asked to see the results of the code. The main mechanic (the one yelling) said he didn't need to show us but his coworker showed us the results on the iPad. My boyfriend Venmoed the man for the diagnostic test. (Proof attached I blocked out last names for privacy). We left and drove to Autozone where they were super helpful and got our car fixed. When we opened the hood we noticed the man had snapped off some red connector pieces. Maybe in his anger he did it on accident while putting the other pieces back or on purpose to be petty, who knows. Overall this mechanic was unprofessional and rude, I have never been to a mechanic that does work on a car before going over what they intend to do and the pricing for it. I think he wanted to take advantage of our situation (being stranded without many options).

I was up in Mammoth for a weekend camping trip when my car started overheating on Saturday afternoon. Being a weekend, almost every shop was limited or completely closed. As I waited for the engine to cool down, I decided to try my luck calling local shops, and Nancy with Mountain Motors was the only one who answered. Even though they were technically closed, she told me that if I could safely drive it the 10 minutes down to their shop, they'd take a look. I filled it with coolant and made it there without issue. It turned out to be a bad radiator. Because it was the weekend, we checked around and realized a replacement part wouldn't arrive until Wednesday. I spent the rest of Saturday and Sunday trying to figure out my options, including checking towing costs to get the car closer to home, which was going to be incredibly expensive even with my AAA. Throughout my initial indecisiveness, Nancy was so patient, helpful, and supportive. It was clear they had my best interests at heart, so I trusted them and decided to leave the vehicle in their hands. Not only did Mike repair the radiator, but he did it in a timely manner and even pointed out a few other maintenance items I should keep an eye on. My biggest issue was logistics, I only had one specific upcoming weekend available to make the trip back up to pick it up, or else it was going to be very difficult for me. They managed to squeeze me into their tight schedule to make it work. To top it all off, when I returned, dropped off my rental car at Mammoth airport, they even offered to pick me up and bring me back to the shop. Overall, Mountain Motors provides unmatched service. Mike and Nancy are an amazing team who genuinely care about helping people!
