Stunning venue with five star service. I had the opportunity to work with Clare, the venue coordinator, and from beginning to day of event, everything moved forward without a hitch. There are many house rules which will be gone over if you decide to have your event here, but you can guarantee success with Clare, Galen, Alex, and Augustino on your side. I highly recommend considering having your event here at the Millwick by Marvimon. The venue, accommodations, and even security, was outstanding. Consider having your event here. The perfect venue!! With around 100 guests the space still felt intimate yet spacious at the same time. The greenery really made it feel like a hidden jungle in dtla. From the moment we toured the space, we knew the vibe was right. And the staff were amazing. We came to Millwick to attend a wedding. It's my first visit to this venue. I can't believe I had no idea this place is here, having spent over a decade working in Downtown LA. It's a good thing this venue offer velet parking because I wouldn't know where to park in this area. I was surprised to find an outdoor garden and a large indoor dining area with a lot of plants. It felt like an oasis in the midst of hustling and bustling of downtown LA. The staff made efficient use and transition of the space they have. The wedding was in the outdoor courtyard. They brought all the chairs indoor to the dining area after the ceremony. They quickly transformed the courtyard to serve food. There is a small bar on-site but the line can get long. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. read more

As a digital and analog film hybrid photographer, Millwick is hands-down one of my favorite downtown LA city venues!! If you're a couple looking for that perfect aesthetic that feels equal parts industrial, tropical, vibrant and eclectic, this Marvimon property is a total masterclass in indoor-outdoor hybrid design. Once you're in there, you feel transported into a super intimate, secluded space that's colorful and chic. What makes Millwick a dream for photography--specifically for film enthusiasts--is the sheer variety of textures and light. The moody, Hollywood-style bridal suite is tucked away like a private oasis, and the lush, vertical garden courtyard provides a stunning contrast to the Grand Hall's gold ceramic walls and exposed brick. It's fun to capture both natural light, as well as direct flash photos for a really dimensional wedding gallery. For my couples who value more of a storytelling, documentary approach, the surrounding Arts District is unmatched. We can slip out to the nearby colorful murals for a playful, editorial feel, or take a short walk to the 4th Street Historic Bridge for those iconic, sweeping Los Angeles skyline views. These locations are absolute magic on 35mm & medium format film; the way the grain hits the industrial grit and the tropical greenery creates a fun, eclectic gallery that feels super unique to DTLA. The venue team is incredibly organized and professional, ensuring the day flows seamlessly so I can focus on capturing those raw, candid "in-between" moments and artistic flash shots once the sun goes down during cocktail hour and through reception. There are several amazing private planning teams that I can recommend as well that collaborate with the venue. This is a great space for parties. We attended a wedding they did the ceremony outside and the banquet inside. The minus are that it's a long space so tables are very long tables so harder to socialize. The bar was backed up a bit. read more

Working here as a vendor, it is always such a pleasure to be working with the Millwick team including Sam, Alex, and Galen! They're truly a team that problem solves through couples' issues and are very present throughout the wedding. I love all of the venues they own for its privacy among DTLA, gorgeous plants, and always friendly and helpful staff. The only con is the lack of parking but good thing there are a lot of Ubers and Lyfts in LA. read more

Came to a wedding here a couple of weeks ago, and was pleasantly surprised by the garden paradise that appeared after you checked in! The staff were all super friendly, and the bar was fast and efficient. Two negatives that made me drop a star -- omg was it TIGHT for the ceremony. I am a normal build, 5'4" woman okay, so when even my shoulders are knocking against my neighbors and kneeing the back of the lady in front of me that's a problem. My row literally had to alternate people leaning back and forward to fit. The chairs were tiny and not super comfy, so I was sad to see them moved inside for dinner tables. The transition from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner was a little chaotic too, because there's nowhere for you to go except the same small space while they switch it over. Add in people trying to get to the bar, waiters passing apps, there's no where to move. I will say once that happened and dinner and dancing got underway, there was plenty of room to breathe though. While I def couldn't recommend this venue if you're going to max out the capacity, it would be an incredible spot for something smaller and is truly gorgeous! read more

10/10!!! This venue is absolutely gorgeous. The street it's on and it's unassuming exterior help give a real "WOW" moment when you enter the space. Millwick is a real stunner and we felt that magical feeling every-time we stepped inside; it never wore off. Expect compliments from everyone. I don't think I have every said "thank you" so many times in one day or ever will again. But beauty alone is not why you should book this venue; the Millwick team is the true star here. Dana and her team made us feel taken care of from start to finish. We had our wedding celebration here last month and Millwick is breathtaking, I cannot get enough of how perfect this venue was for my husband and I. The moment we came here for a tour, we were greeted by Anika and she made us feel right at home. She emailed us all the information afterwards and really made us feel calm which is exactly what we needed throughout our wedding planning process. The booking process was super seamless as well. You can do a 2 week hold for your date, unless someone wants to book the same date, then you will have to pay your deposit right away to secure it. After we booked they send you an email with all the essential links you will need for your wedding planning process. They send a list of preferred vendors and additional vendors and they are all the best of the best, the Marvimon family knows how to select the A++++ vendors. Majority of the vendors were from the list and they were terrific, they literally made our day feel like the chillest it could be. The great thing is that a lot of these vendors have worked together so they operate in such a smooth process that you do not have to worry. Food, drinks, vibes were delicious, we kept getting compliments about how much our guests loved the food and drinks. Millwick is a beautiful wedding venue in the DTLA Arts District. A quaint and charming place in the heart of the City of Angels. I was lucky to attend my friend's wedding and witness so much love and hope all marriages should encompass. Millwick has a beautiful outdoor ceremony area with so much decor and elegant ambiance to take anyone's breath away. The bar in the back adds a nice touch to get the party started. The indoor reception area is also set up as beautifully as the outside. The dance floor is big and spacious and my date and I spent the most time there. With 90s Hip Hop and R&B playing all night, it took us all down memory lane. What an amazing wedding! It was absolutely breathtaking. I won't lie, I cried a lot. My wife and I had the honor of having Millwick be our venue for our wedding in March of 2023, and it surpassed every expectation we could've had for a wedding venue. It checked every box that we were looking for and more: a rustic/industrial style space (the fact that it looks like a hidden tropical oasis is a great bonus), an easily accessible location in the city (being a short walk away from other great nightlife and restaurants/bars in the Arts District is another great bonus), and unique amenities that allow us to give our guests a truly special experience (the available projector and giant screen were the cherry on top of an already glorious cake). We never thought a place that met all of our desired requirements could exist (and at a price point that's more affordable that most other venues we saw), and so we were absolutely blown away and immensely excited when we discovered Millwick as an option. We booked and locked in our dates almost immediately after our first informational meeting, and the rest was history. But above all else, the best aspect of having Millwick as our venue was the incredible team we got to work with that made the entire process from beginning to end so seamless and simple. It is not easy to be living in the SF Bay Area and planning a wedding that's in LA, but the Marvimon team made it all a piece of cake, and there was never a moment of worry in our minds. They answered all of our questions promptly and sufficiently, had a number of very helpful recommendations of other local vendors to work with from their vast experience in hosting weddings and events, and they could not have been more accommodating and kind throughout the whole planning process. Everyone we worked with felt like a true master of their craft, and they did everything in their power to ensure that we were set up for the most successful wedding event, which we cannot appreciate enough. We just had the wedding of our dreams at Millwick and couldn't be happier with choosing this venue for our big day. We planned our LA wedding in London and we were so grateful to have worked with the best people at Millwick who were always available, fast to respond on email and simply made the entire experience so easy for us. They have an amazing list of preferred vendors (we used all our vendors from their list and our wedding was flawless!) Clare, Dana and the entire team were sooo sweet, efficient and helpful throughout the process, giving us such great advice and jumping on calls to review design, layout, floor plan, etc. we knew we were in good hands from day 1. The venue itself is so cool (a speakeasy oasis in the middle of downtown arts district) has so much character, you don't need to do a ton bc it's so naturally aesthetic. We received so many compliments from guests about how cool our venue was. We had 110 guest count and it was the perfect size (enough space but never felt too sparse). Millwick DTLA was the perfect venue! We fell in love with it's hidden-away beauty - the gorgeous courtyard, the greenery, the glass garage doors that created a fun indoor/outdoor experience. The screen and disco ball were so much fun. The bathrooms were clean, spacious, and easily accessible. It is such a great venue and so much fun to customize. We loved the natural beauty of it that allowed us to save time, money, and energy on elaborate decorations or signage that weren't needed. Most of all, we loved the team there and the wonderful vendors they referred us to. The entire team of vendors came together to make our wedding run so smoothly and effortlessly (for us!). Such a beautiful venue for a wedding/special event! Came here for a wedding last night and had a great time. The outside is rather unassuming but once you enter this industrial warehouse you are taken aback by the intricate design of the place. Guests enter through the garden courtyard - pretty spacious with trees (an urban jungle kind of feel), also has the bar area. The indoor section is gorgeous in terms of decor with plenty of room for a dance area, seating (long wooden dining tables with simple chairs), and additional space for other things (the wedding had a great donut & boba bar!). There's also a huge cinema screen to play videos and photos which added a more intimate effect to the event. Overall, it's a fantastic venue to celebrate special occasions. The courtyard where the ceremony was J's some nice lush greens right where they needed to be. The room for the reception was a perfect size and decorated so tastefully. The bar outside was also nice and easy to get in and out of. I will gripe that they need more bathrooms. But other than that...this is a wonderful place! read more

What a gem Millwick is, it helped set such a great atmosphere for our wedding. The outside might seem a bit iffy, but it helps wow you and your guests once you get inside. The main selling point for us was how green the venue was compared to others we viewed. The cost of other plain venues were "cheaper" but would've been more expensive after self decoration. Vs the minimal decoration we had to put into Millwick. Dana and Clare were also extremely helpful and it seems like the owners of the venue in general seem to have the best interest of their clients at heart. All the vendors they recommend were top notch as well. read more

I was a guest at a wedding here last weekend and the complimentary valet stole my ray bans out of my car. The venue was beautiful, but they used White Label Valet company. I contacted the valet company and they completely denied any responsibility and defended their employees saying that it wasn't possible. I am 100% certain where I put my sunglasses before leaving my car to attend the wedding (I didn't want to carry them at the wedding) and when I got my car back they were gone. So after a terrifying ride through some shady parts of LA we arrived at this magical destination. Seriously the last few minutes of our ride I was thinking where the F is this place and should I be afraid? You walk in and are immediately transferred into another world. Brick and ivy garden like outdoor area. Inside an industrial warehouse decorated with twinkle lights and what I would describe and fairy tail flowers and foliage. The bartenders were very quick and very cool. They kept those lines moving but never made you feel rushed. Sound system was great. You could tell it was high quality. My only real complaint is that I wasn't super impressed with my dinner entrée. I had the tri tip and it had a weird marinade or seasoning on it. Same with the veggies. But the mac and cheese that came with it was the saver. With an open bar I need some substance. Fortunately they had bread and butter at the tables and later in the evening they had some tray passed apps (hotdog in a blanket for the WIN) If you are considering an event or wedding venue I would definitely check this place out. Probably the most impressive venue I have ever been in. Just go with a different food option than the tri tip. read more

We entered the venue and it was nice and decorative. It seemed cozy and hipster. I liked the bathrooms were individual and there were 4. But it's technically just a large space. As a DJ and vendor, I absolutely love Millwick. There's two point of frames I'd like to point out. From a design/venue/decor point: This place is beautiful. The decoration and theme of the venue is beautiful and unique. The venue already comes with tables and chair that are super cool. You really don't need to bring outside rentals in because it's already filled with decor and cool furniture. Definitely one of the most unique spaces around. Also, A/V is installed in the venue so you can run slideshows, videos, your initials/name on the big LCD projector which allows you to run nice photos, initials, any cool still image you can think of which adds a nice touch to your event. As a DJ/vendor: I've done Millwick/smoggeshoppe about 4-5 times this past year and have only great experiences with the venue managers. They're a pleasure to work with, professional, very helpful, and super nice. Also, the venue recently upgraded the ceremony/patio sound system so there's definitely ample enough sound now. Before it was pretty weak which was my first callout 2 years ago. They also upgraded the amps so there's enough bass coming through the subs now, and I have more than enough headroom. One thing for sure is, Marvimon definitely doesn't cheap out on the little things. Some venues won't upgrade anything related to A/V because it's 'good enough', but I have a gripe with that because good enough doesn't cut it. I'm sure this mentality carries throughout other aspects of the venue. Love the vibes here! read more

I attended a wedding here, and it is a stunning and creative space on the inside. One of the best spaces I've seen for a wedding. As another reviewer mentioned, it's unassuming from the outside. It looks like a gated industrial property. One thing to keep in mind for guests is that while the location is within the Arts District, it's not that far from homeless camps and Skid Row. We left our car in front of Millwick (on the public street) overnight and stayed at a hotel because we didn't want to drive after drinking. Unfortunately, when we arrived to pick up our car the next day, a window had been smashed in and everything was stolen from the car. When we were asking the valet whether we could keep the car on the street, we should have also inquired about the safety of the neighborhood. We were more concerned about tickets and getting towed. But in the morning, as we were driving back from the hotel in an Uber, I noticed the homeless tent cities and shelters not too far from the venue. I became immediately concerned about whether the car would be okay (it wasn't!). We didn't see them on the way in because we had taken another route. Like I said, it's a great place for a wedding. I would just let guests know it's a not a great idea to leave their cars parked on the public streets overnight if they party a little too hard at your celebration! read more

We didn't have the best weather, and they went out of their way to make sure we always knew our options and felt good about what the day would look like. We are so very happy that we were able to have our wedding at the Millwick. It had the exact look that we were going for. Our guests were incredibly complimentary of the venue. I came here to check out the venue for someone's wedding. Although we didn't end up booking this place, I loved the venue! It has an unassuming outside and then inside, it's a mini paradise with lush green areas, very cute and hipster loving furniture, walls, and cute spaces. The parking is very sparse here though and I believe you have to get valet if you have an event here. They are very accommodating here to showcase the venue and they have a lot of other ones they also own so you could check them all out! The price was a bit steep compared to other venues though. read more
