This was on the second floor of a liquor store. The one half was a bar and the other was a small dining area. I attended a Mother's Day Brunch here. There was a small buffet available with a drink included. The service was appreciated and friendly. I had everything on the buffet line except the scrambled eggs, and some sweets being served. They had fruit, chicken Francese, linguini with shrimp and clams, penne vodka, bacon, sausage links, potatoes, and French toast along with an omelet station. The fruit was inconsistent, but that sometimes with fruit I suppose. The chicken was alright, very tender, but the sauce was a little plain. The linguini was solid, just tough shrimp pieces, lots of flavor with the sauce though. The penne vodka was alright while the bacon and sausage links were cooked appropriately. The potatoes were seasoned and cooked well while the French toast was surprisingly my favorite item. It was sweet and cooked to my liking. The omelet was also pleasant as I opted for a ham, cheese, and tomato one. Will I go back? Possibly. read more

Visiting from out of town, Pittsburgh, Me and a friend of mine stopped it to the Milton Inn for lunch and some drinks last Saturday. I ordered the Reuben, with extra sauerkraut. I've had hundreds of Rubens with extra sauerkraut. That's how I always order it. The sandwich I got was a soggy mess of a Reuben. Half of it was completely inedible because the bread was just completely soaked and soggy. When I said something to the rude bartender, she completely ignored me although I know she heard me. When she came to pick up our dishes and asked if we were done, I had told her that half of the sandwich was an edible and she said "you ordered extra sauerkraut". I told her I've ordered hundreds of them and they've never been a soggy mess like this and that it was inedible . After the dirty looking and her rolling her eyes, she took my plate and gave me my bill without even giving me any sort of discount for the inedible sandwich. The sad thing is my friend, who is a local there, said that's why we don't really come here a lot because the service and the Food is mediocre at best. Did I mention that the owner was sitting right at the bar when all this was happening? I still gave the bartender a $20 tip because that's who I am. But I won't be going back that's unfortunate because it's a pretty cool place. read more

We had an incredibly disappointing experience here.. We called twice ahead of time specifically to confirm that our party of 14 could come watch the World Cup game, and both times we were told that wouldn't be a problem. When we arrived at 4:00 p.m. on a Saturday, there were only two other occupied tables besides our family. We ordered plenty of food and drinks, yet when we politely asked if the extremely loud TouchTunes music could be turned down so we could hear the game, our waitress, Elizabeth, refused. She told us there was nothing she could do because customers were queuing songs. Wanting to be understanding, we asked the only other guests in the restaurant if they were the ones playing music. They said they weren't AND, they were also trying to watch the game. Out of curiosity, we downloaded the TouchTunes app ourselves, and it showed that the person queuing songs was our bar waitresses, Elizabeth Fischer, and the rest of her staff, Mrs. Hackett, and Camilla . They were the reason the music continued to drown out the game while insisting there was nothing she could do. To make matters worse, Elizabeth and the other staff members were snickering and laughing about our family after we respectfully asked for help. We confronted that we knew it was them on the touchtunes, and NOT other customers, and they said "it's Saturday night. We're going to play music". We came to support the business, called ahead twice to make sure watching the game would be okay, and spent a good amount on food and drinks, precisely $500, and were treated with rudeness and immaturity instead of basic courtesy. We won't be returning. It's unfortunate because this experience had nothing to do with the food, it was entirely due to the disrespectful, immature, and unprofessional way we were treated. read more

The Milton Inn was a a nice enough place, but the bartenders are miserable. They don't smile, they don't try to engage the customer, and they absolutely look like they don't want to help you and are bothered by your business. The owner also looks as if he is unhappy, and generally not interested in being friendly. read more

Came in for the Oktoberfest special recently and it was good overall. I feel like I will need to re-review once we go back and try the regular menu. My boyfriend loved his sauerbraten. I thought parts of it were a little over cooked. I had chicken schnitzel. It was decent. Not the best or worse I've had. This is your standard bar/pub type restaurant. Food presentation is good and the food tastes good but it's never hot. Atmosphere is great and the service is great.

If you're looking for a lunch spot this place is decent. I wish the wings were more crispy. I felt like the breading was soggy but the flavor of the BBQ sauce was good. I also ordered a burger which was good - it didn't wow me but it didn't disappoint. I love Icarus beer and was surprised they had Yacht Juice on tap. Aside from food, there was only one person working so it was a little slow at times but to be expected considering the short staff. I didn't care at all for the set-up of the restaurant or decor. The bar area and dining area are separated so the staff member had to keep walking back and forth since it is not visible behind the bar. It is very disconnected and seems challenging for staff. Also, the color of the walls and the half wood just doesn't look like a sports bar to me. read more

I go there all the time because they are in town. Friday night noticed we were charged for more beers than we got. Said nothing because they were busy thought honest mistake. Today went and not busy charged for 2 more beers each even after owner paid for round. Not cool. Left tip even though we were being ripped off because owner sits there at bar watching every move. Got a chip for free drink next time we go. they can choke on that chip. Never again you have ripped us off for the last time. read more

My visits to the Milton Inn are usually to stock up on beer, wine and liquor. But we were out and about running errands and decided to stop for a bite to eat. The restaurant is split with the main dining room to the left and the bar area to the right. Depending on the level of noise you want, there's a Jukebox in the bar area and it can get busy. Our waitress Lisamarie was courteous and friendly. She took our drink orders and returned in no time to take our dinner order. Stuffed mushrooms for the app. A stuffed fillet of sole and a fillet of sole Oreganata. The food was quite good and they seem to be consistent since the last few times I've eaten here. read more

This was my first visit to Milton Inn. It was a Saturday at 3:30pm after a group hike. I saw nobody in the dining area so I took a seat at the bar. I ordered the Milton Inn Pasta from Elizabeth whom was being hit on my a room full of elderly men. I enjoyed my meal while watching college football and local cable news and listening to soft rock tunes. This dish was much better than average.. Nice big burgers. And quality beef. The burgers are my favorites they have some good specials but I have to say. I'm seafood lover or I just get a burger. I have had eggplant parm there and loved it I love the mussels. Only wish they made beer mussels also. I've been frequenting the downstairs beer store section for like a decade and never realized there was a restaurant/bar upstairs. I'm glad we tried it. I am a little hesitant when I walk in and it's straight-up dead. We were the only table in the ENTIRE upstairs (which is huge). It was a rainy Wednesday night at the end of June, so maybe that's it. Not entirely crazy about that layout/ambience. Almost TOO big upstairs and looks like a doctor's office that was converted, but the quality of the food was on point, as are the reasonable prices. Apparently they're known for their great meat and hand-grind their burger meat from their sirloin, so I figured the sirloin had to be good and ordered the Delmonico steak sandwich, which the server informed me was a good choice. It was SO good. Not chewy like I've had at other places - succulent, cooked just right and covered in tasty fried onions on really fresh bread, it was one of the better steak sandwiches I've had in a while. Fries were also very good. I hear their wings are good, so maybe next time I'll pick up some wings to-go and beer downstairs. read more

We're just back from a casual Saturday night dinner at the Milton Inn and we were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. We figured for a Saturday we may have to wait for a table but that wasn't the case. Plenty of tables and the dining area is quite large. I liked that the bar and dining area were separate so the noise level wasn't intrusive. The Milton Mix app platter was delicious...wings, potato skins, mozzarella sticks and tenders. at first i almost missed the parking lot because i thought it was just a liquor store. So glad i didn't. Recently moved to the area and was looking for a new place with good food and good bartenders. Well this place blew my expectations out of the water. Myself and the two other people i was with enjoyed everything. The clams scampi was hands down the best scampi sauce I have ever had. Also i had the salmon. Another amazing choice. My friends had the chef salad and the steak sandwich. Everyone left so full and happy. Now on to the service. I had reservations at a local BYO restaurant recently, was low on wine and figured I would stop into the liquor store at the Milton Inn to pick up a few bottles to bring to the restaurant. Big mistake. Their prices are beyond unreasonable, they are just downright robbery. Sterling Napa Cabernet for example.. it's $24.99 at stores in neighboring towns, but it's $37.99 at the Milton Inn? I saw several other bottles I'm familiar that were similarly overpriced, some even more so. I get it, the Inn is not a big chain, it's off the beaten path, I expected to pay a bit more, but how does that justify charging literally 50-60% more per bottle. It doesn't. I'll drive the extra few miles next time and save some money. read more

I had a great experience dining here. It's interesting because at first you feel like you're in an office building walking up these stairs upon entry. There is a roomy elevator btw right by the stairs. That cold feeling dissipated as once you got upstairs it was decorated so sweetly for Autumn so immediately you felt a warm welcome. It was also very clean which I feel is super important. The ladies bathroom was spotless. Our waitress was personable and accommodating. Food and drinks reasonably priced. I had the vegan burger which I was pleasantly surprised to even find on the menu. It was probably Beyond or Impossible but prepared perfectly with sautéed onions and mushrooms. Believe me, many a chef cannot properly cook a vegan burger. They're sometimes dry or lukewarm but this one was on point. I would absolutely dine here again. My wife had the Delmonico steak sandwich and I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich, both of which comes with French fries and a pickle (upgrade to Onion rings for $1 extra). The large bar area has 5 flat screen tvs. Nearly every time i've been here during the day, the bartender has Judge Judy, CNN, or Ellen DeGeneres on EVERY tv. What is going on?? This is a bar right? Wait staff was friendly upon arrival not crowded but clean were first impressions. Prices very fair and martini's were delicious. So bartender knew what he was doing. Ordered the Milton Delmonico 12oz with Soup and Husband had the Mussel Ap and Chicken Femme with salad. Both of our dishes were cooked perfectly and were very tasty. * This review only refers to my experience with growler fills and is no reflection on the restaurant, service or food. I frequently go to micro breweries and brew pubs and always bring my own growlers to be filled. I intended to get a growler fill at this local shop which has a bar/restaurant above it. The prices listed include the purchase of a glass growler with each particular beer. When I asked what the price was without the growler that's when the confusion started - and I didn't get an answer to that question. The issue was I had a 64 oz Hydro Flask with me which I intended to fill. After the bartender placed a call to someone they refused to fill it. So if you want beer in a growler here it looks like you must buy the bottle from them as well which i won't be doing. Anyway, I left without a fill and won't be going back.
