We hosted our Wedding Dinner at Mohawk House. We were a group of 20 and rented one of their private rooms. I could not say enough good things about my experience with the Mohawk Team from beginning to end. Michelle R helped from beginning to end. She was super patient at the beginning since our date was not final, after that she answered all my questions (which were a lot!), she was super prompt in her responses, and she was super accommodating. I love working with her and she made things so easy for me! Rachael, the owner, was also a pleasure to work with! She took the time to give us a tour of the spaces available and was super accommodating with any menu needs we had for our event. Kathie, our server, was the best! She handled our group so well and even the little ones running around. The food was so good and everyone was super happy at the end of the night. Highly recommend Mohawk House!

My daughter Marissa and my son in law Andrew took me here for my birthday. Thank you. What a wonderful choice and a beautiful place. The service was excellent and although prices are high you get an amazing experience. We had a wonderful meal. My cowboy ribeye was cooked spot on perfect and the flavor was outstanding. Highly recommend. Enjoy

After waiting for this place to reopen and taking a long, traffic riddled drive, I was quite disappointed. I began with an old-fashioned in the main dining area, beautiful with vaulted ceilings and a large fireplace for these cold nights. For an appetizer I ordered lobster bisque. The presentation was very nice as they poured it from the pot however, it was more like soup as it lacked any creaminess and it was just warm enough. For the entrée I went with the New York strip, fingerling potatoes and asked for a glass of House Cabernet. The steak was very well seasoned and cooked just right (although I was given the wrong sauce) and the potatoes were also very good however the house wine was terrible. Pacific something or other. I was full at this point and decided against dessert. I had been here years back for a private lunch and it was fantastic so I know it's a reliable spot however I don't see myself coming back again.

Service, ambience and food are the best for miles around. Best dinner we have had out in years.

We celebrated my Pop Pop's 50th birthday/Law Enforcement Retirement at Mohawk House because it came highly recommended from a friend. Our reservation was for 7:30pm. The restaurant is not a hop, skip, and a jump away. We drove 27 miles, about 40 mins from my parent's house. Unfortunately, there was no valet so cars were parked haphazardly blocking other cars in. We were asked if we wanted to dine indoor or outdoor. We decided to dine indoor. The dining area was absolutely exquisite. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Unfortunately, the servers and busboys kept grazing my chair as they worked the floor. We started off with a complimentary bread basket that came with pre-sliced butter. We used a QR Code to see the menu. Much to our surprise they ran out of a lot the items that piqued our interest. For our drinks we ordered Beer, Cabernet, Pomegranate Martini, and a Esperanza Mezcal Pear Margarita. My mom didn't care for her margarita so she asked for a glass of Cab instead. Our server, Sara was polite and incredibly patient. For such a classy restaurant Mohawk House fell short of ensuring that we had a great dining experience. The food did not meet our expectations and left us disappointed in several ways. Let's get into the apps. We started off with the Lamb Pops, Crab Cake, and two orders of the Fried Calamari. The lamb pops were medium instead medium rare. The crab cake wasn't bad but was on the smaller side. The fried calamari was not good. It was overcooked and bland. The oil was old. We asked for a side of marinara to try to combat the flavor. Even with all of the fancy elements added to the dish it was still a miss. For dinner we placed two orders of the 40oz Dry Aged Tomahawk (One Medium Rare and One Medium Well). Two orders of the Maine Lobster Mac N' Cheese, Brussel Sprouts, Roasted Carrots, and Creamed Spinach. Our orders did not come out at the same time. My parents tomahawk did not include the Red Wine Sauce they ordered. We waited an additional ten minutes for the wrong steak to come out. Instead of the tomahawk steak we received the Porterhouse For Two which was medium rare. We waited additional time for them to bring out the correct order. Once we received our tomahawk it was also cooked medium rare. Once again we had to send back the steak. Unfortunately the steak was underwhelming and lacked seasoning. No salt. No pepper. No flavor. To be honest we should've kept the porterhouse because it looked meatier, came with sauce on the side, and onion rings on top. The Maine Lobster Mac N' Cheese was drier than the Sahara Desert. It certainly did not look like what was depicted on the menu. It lacked creaminess and flavor. Our Brussels Sprouts were plain and didn't have any cranberries or pecans as stated on the menu. My mom's Creamed Spinach was was inedible. I've never had a side of creamed spinach that lacked cream, garlic, or cheese. It was more like sautéed spinach. Boston Market makes better creamed spinach even on their worst day. We sent back the creamed spinach for Grilled Asparagus. Sara informed us that they ran out of asparagus. My mom opted for the Sautéed Mushrooms which tasted like they were drench in a bath of black pepper. My dad said his Roasted Carrots were just ok. Albeit Sara was a doll and very apologetic we wanted to speak to the manager to discuss the inconsistencies in our meal, items coming out late, as well as the lack of items readily available. She asked if she could buy us a round of drinks. Everyone declined the drink offer except for my mom. She had the chocolate martini. Sara surprised my dad with several desserts. She gave my dad the 7 Layer Chocolate Cake. She brought the table a sample of The Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Molten Cake, Classic Crème Brûlée, Apple Crumb Tart, and the Signature Pumpkin Cake In A Jar. The deserts were not good. Either too much salt, over cooked, undercooked, and too hard to enjoy. We came here to celebrate a major milestone and yet we were unable to enjoy my dad's birthday as a family. The manager never came out to acknowledge my mom, but rather spoke to a family sitting across from us. You'd think that he would've been more professional than that. After spending $450 this was definitely not a night to write home or sing about. I really hope that the manager reads my review because for such a classy upscale restaurant we had a real lackluster experience. This certainly is not a place I'd recommend or be proud to say that I've had the pleasure to eat at. I cannot and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Dim lighting, big comfortable leather chairs, bookshelves lining the walls, a fully stocked bar, and historic photos throughout the space create a classic lodge vibe that feels timeless without being stuffy. It is cozy, polished, and incredibly relaxing. The staff is knowledgeable and clearly takes pride in what they serve. The craft cocktails are well made and thoughtful, and if you prefer beer, there are solid options there too. As a bourbon lover, I especially enjoyed their private barrel pick served neat, a real treat and easily a standout pour. This is a perfect pre-dinner or post-evening stop, we have done both, and it works beautifully either way. Dress is slightly casual but leans upscale, and while pricing is a bit higher than average, it feels completely worth it for the setting, quality, and experience. We sank into the chairs, talked story with friends, and lost track of time, which really says it all. If you are anywhere near Skytop Lodge, make sure this is on your list. Plan extra time, you will want to linger.

This place is absolutely amazing, from the moment we set foot in that door we knew this place was going to be special. We couldn't even sit still waiting for the food, we had to get up and walk around this amazing place. I can write all day just about the ambience but I will get to the food. We started out with six fresh oysters and a goat cheese and arugula salad which was fresh, crispy and refreshing then We had this mouth watering beef steak Tacos which came with this amazing sauce, and a brisket sandwich and a focaccia bread with truffle fries that left me thinking when am I coming back. I want to give special things to our waitress who was kind and professional and I'm saying this sincerely, she was great and we loved her, her smile and her knowledge of the menu really making things easier for us and she was truly professional She helped me with this smoky drink from the bar that I never had and that too made me think when am I coming back again I'm so happy we came here, I gotta bring my friends they will definitely be impressed but before my friends I'm going to bring my kids to celebrate their birthday here

After seeing a social media post featuring the restaurant's unique industrial décor and checking…read morethe menu online beforehand, my dining companion and I made the drive up from Morristown for a 7pm Saturday dinner. We expected a moderately upscale atmosphere - with $15 cocktails and entrees ranging from $32 for pasta up to $48 for a strip steak - and we dressed accordingly. Upon our arrival at Industry, it quickly became clear that the dining room leans much more casual than we anticipated. Before even walking in to the restaurant, I passed a gentleman sitting on the curb in front of the entrance to the restaurant in a tank top, shorts, and Crocs sandals on an animated phone call. Inside, most guests were similarly dressed in t-shirts and shorts. To top it off, a diner at a neighboring table surreptitiously used a vape pen throughout her meal. I don't mean to sound overly critical of what might pass for moderately upscale dining in Sussex County, but there is definitely a noticeable disconnect between the high culinary ambitions and prices on the menu and the actual day-to-day environment in the dining room. That disconnect is a shame because we really liked the decor in the open, airy space as well as what the kitchen is trying to do here -- it's obvious that they genuinely know what they're doing in the back of the house. We started with the unique Watermelon and Feta salad ($18) -- an innovative spin where the watermelon is vacuum-sealed to force-feed it a mildly spicy chimichurri marinade, and it was flat-out excellent. For the main course, I really enjoyed the Cherry Pepper Pappardelle ($34), cooked to a perfect al dente and loaded with sweet Italian sausage and broccolini although for my preferences, the garlic and white wine vinegar sauce could have used a little more kick. My dining companion wanted something lighter and opted for the Tuna Tartare Tacos ($23) -- four crispy wonton shells stuffed with a surprisingly generous portion of sushi-grade tuna, seaweed salad, guacamole, and harissa mayo -- and she loved them. As for the beverage program, it was... well, no pun intended, a bit mixed. My dining companion really enjoyed her Loose Screw ($15), a crisp and refreshing concoction of limoncello, mint, prosecco, and club soda. On the other hand, I was unimpressed with the American A.F. ($15), a blend of FEW American Whiskey, Widow Jane Paradigm Rye, cherry vanilla simple syrup, and Angostura bitters, which ended up tasting fairly uninspired when compared to a regular Old Fashioned. Our server, Christina, was fantastic -- friendly, hyper-aware of my dietary restriction, and spot-on with her recommendations. The kitchen's speed, however, was another story. Despite the dining room being less than half full, our starter took nearly 30 minutes to make an appearance, and another 20-25 minutes elapsed after we finished before our entrees joined the party. At the end of the day, I really respect the vision and execution coming out of the kitchen, and Christina's service was top-notch. That said, I'd give it a 3.5 star rating -- rounded down to 3 stars given the glacier-like pacing and the surreal gap between high-end menu prices and a lax (vape-friendly, even) vibe, as the execution on the floor just doesn't match what the kitchen is working so hard to achieve. If I'm in the area.. I'd give it another shot with a more grounded expectation. Pro Tip: If you're looking for a location to host an event, Industry has two private dining rooms on the main floor and a larger space downstairs available for larger groups.

One of those nights my order was delayed and a couple of sides were missing, but they were extremely apologetic and even offered us a discount, which I really appreciated. Tonight, my husband and I decided to have a quick date night and finally dine in. I honestly can't remember the names of the cocktails we ordered, but they were seasonal, delicious, and beautifully presented. The bread wasn't my favorite, but I'm not taking off any points for that. It's free, and honestly, I'd rather not fill up on bread before the meal anyway. For appetizers, we ordered the cast iron shrimp and the slab bacon. The shrimp was so good. My husband thought it was a little salty, but I thought it was just really well seasoned. I'd honestly go back just for that dish. The bacon was good, but it wasn't as hot as I would have liked. I personally like my food piping hot, so that's just a preference. The star of the night was the Cowboy Prime steak. It was absolutely delicious, great seasoning, a perfect sear, and full of flavor. The temperature wasn't exactly what we ordered, but it was still an incredible steak. It came with vegetables, and even as someone who isn't a big fan of veggies, I really enjoyed them!! For sides, we had the hand-cut fries and a side of the corn risotto. If we had one complaint about the meal, it would be the risotto. It was overcooked and tasted like a basic risotto with corn kernels mixed in. It just wasn't what we expected. Thankfully, the steak was so good that it completely made up for that disappointment. We skipped dessert because we were both completely full, but we'll definitely be back. I also wanted to mention that the service was a little slow at the beginning. Once our server got to us, though, she was friendly, attentive, and took great care of us. Overall, we had a great experience and look forward to coming back.
