As a new resident, I drove and called around the area to find an optometrist and came across this office. They were able to accommodate me as a walk-in for an eye exam and to order my contacts. I saw Dr. Joon for my eye exam. The two front desk staff members were able to find my insurance, though I did have a bit of trouble understanding the breakdown of what I owed and the cost of my contacts. The explanation was a bit rushed, with numbers written down without much detail. It would have been helpful if they had provided a clearer description next to each amount. However, the overall total wasn't an issue, and my insurance covered most of it. My contact order was processed smoothly, though I got a bit confused about the pricing difference between colored and clear contacts. There are several optometrists in the vicinity, but what impressed me most about this office was their selection of glasses. The optometry is a good size, much bigger than my San Jose optometrist's office and others I visited in the area. They offer a nice variety of colors and styles across various budgets. While waiting for Dr. Joon, I even window-shopped their Cartier frames. Dr. Joon is succinct and efficient with his work. During the exam, it sometimes took me 2 or 3 tries to decide which option was better, but he was patient with me. He doesn't talk much but has a subtle sense of humor. Although it was my first visit, his diagnosis aligned with my previous eye history, which I shared with him. He recommended that I get some glasses to give my eyes a break from contacts occasionally or for emergencies. RUDE. RUDE. RUDE. To say the least! My family and I have spent a good amount of money here on glasses, and I expected a more professional and courteous experience as returning customers. I recently returned to pick up a pair of glasses I had purchased after being notified they were ready. I was in a bit of a hurry because I needed to get to the post office afterward, but the visit turned out to be very disappointing. It took an unusually long time just to complete the pickup. I was told the optometrist was out taking a walk, and I had to wait for her before I could finish and leave. Unfortunately, this was not my first uncomfortable experience. During my initial visit, the optometrist was also rude and dismissive. On this return visit, the same tone continued. She was also rude towards other customers during the last office as well. The overall attitude made the environment feel tense and unwelcoming. While I was there, I asked about getting another sample contact lens because one of the samples previously given to me had accidentally gone down the drain. I was told that I would need to prepay for an exam, even though I planned to schedule it at a later date, just to receive another sample. I understand that offices have policies, but the way it was handled felt unnecessarily harsh. I was told I would need to prepay for my future contact exam before receiving another sample. When I asked for clarification, she repeated herself in a very audacious tone. Many people say the previous owner was always kind and easy to work with, and the difference in service is very noticeable now. If others have had an eye exam here, I would be interested in hearing about your experience. Based on mine, I would not be surprised if others felt similarly. I value courtesy and professionalism, and I hope the office reflects on how interactions like this affect loyal customers. I don't like leaving reviews like this. Highly recommeneded!! All procedures from vision test to getting a pair of glasses were very fast and smooth. I was helped by Joon and he was very nice and gentle. I've been going here since 2010/2011. The place is clean and has a variety of glasses from affordable to brand name. The staff is friendly and patient with you as you pick your frames. I'm super indecisive so this requires A LOT of patience. WARNING: DO NOT GO HERE Tina was completely rude and ruined my glasses. I brought my frames for Mimi Optometry to help me with the lenses and paid for anti-glare. When I received them, they were not anti-glare like she said. She started yelling and saying that even if it's anti-glare, there will still be some level of glare. Unprofessional, rude, and careless. Came here to do an eye exam and get a new contact lens prescription. Went to Costco to order them, and then I find out that the office wrote down the exam date as the expiration date. Contact prescriptions are meant to last a year. They also wrote down a brand of contacts that I explicitly told the optometrist that I never use. I called the office, and the woman on the phone was rude and unsympathetic. I recognized her as the one who wrote the wrong thing, too. She didn't bother apologizing. I still haven't received an edited version. It was my first time at this optometry office and although it can get busy, the technicians are very friendly and try to help you out as soon as possible. They have Korean and Vietnamese speaking staff which is nice and the optometrist seems to be very experienced and knowledgeable. Though it was my first time, she was very efficient and the eye exam went by really quick. Wanted to write a quick review for this optometric center, seeing how there are only 40 reviews for the place so far. This place is great! I've gone here a couple of times with my family and we were treated respectfully and the staff was friendly and attentive. The office is small, though. If you come in for a walk-in appointment, it may get cramped and take some time to be seen. You can always kill time by walking around the plaza and grabbing some food, so it's not the end of the world. Wide selection of glasses (sunglasses & reading glasses), so that's great. Parking is very easy - there's a huge lot. Parking isn't an issue at all. Dr Lee, the optometrist, is soft-spoken and friendly. I felt at ease with her and she was very approachable. I'm not totally sure who helped me, but I think her name may have been Tina (I will update when I find out her name for sure). Had the WORST experience ever. We've been going there forever. Our 6 year old son got his eyes checked by a male Korean optometrist because the owner Dr. Lee was not there. He looked like he was in his mid 50's. Our 6 year old son has a very outgoing personality. Dr. Korean Male was giving him direction on how to test. My son placed his chin up instead of it being straight in the eye machine. The Korean male doctor was telling him he needs to listen to him. Like bro, the boy is 6 years old. Then he kept correcting my son and told him he doesn't need to talk when he's asking him to do things. My son was only responding by saying like this? Ok? Things of that nature. AND to put the icing on the cake... that Vietnamese lady that's been working there forever was so rude. When someone talks to you, you look at them in the eye. The store has a great selection of glasses with a variety to choose from. I was impressed with the store and it's lay out. I found them on line and decided to give then a try. I had an eye exam that was inexpensive. I looked for a frame that was similar to what I was wearing and I couldn't find one. They suggested that I use my frame with the new lenses. They were not sure if that was going to work out and we should at least give the idea a try. I was impressed with their honesty. My glasses turned out great. Staff was very personable and helpful. They could have tried to sell my new frames but they didn't Since then I have been there many times to change the eye piece on my glasses. They are so nice and kindly replace the eye piece and clean my glasses with no charge. Later my doctor suggested that I get an eye exam. I went in with a new prescription. Staff was helpful in assisting me to find a new pair. My gosh I looked at so many and staff was personable and patient, as I tried on pair after pair. She was very pleased as was I when we finally found a one. I was relieved and ready to get my order started. I gave them my prescription and they compared it to my last exam. They told me that not much had changed and they didn't think I needed a new pair. I was VERY impressed with their honesty. That is hard to find. They order with a third party vendor for repairs, 7-10 days. She concluded with a repair for my Versace and Coach for $40 each. First of all, Mimi Optimitric is located in a large mall, so it is easy to park, and there is a Korean market nearby, so it is convenient. Above all, an optometrist is always on standby, so I can make an appointment and perform an optometry at a convenient time. I bought multifocal lenses at an optical store I used before, but I couldn't use them because I was too dizzy, but I remember that Mr. Jun kindly explained what the problem was and said that there wouldn't be this problem the next time I try it again. When getting new glasses, I felt the need to get it done by someone with a lot of experience.
