We made a Mother's Day reservation for our family of 7 to enjoy breakfast. We were taken right back and had great service the entire time. Our server was attentive, polite, kept our dishes cleared and drinks refilled. The food was okay. The French Toast and pancakes were good, but the eggs, sausage, bacon, etc. were just okay. Food was late, server was unprepared, drinks did not get delivered on time, and they ran out of many things. Specifically, the starters and drinks got delivered at the same time as the entrees, they ran out of dark meat turkey, and the alcoholic beverages did not get dropped off in time. We also did not have rolls or cranberry sauce, and no option for ham. We ordered our own bread, and left dissatisfied in general. Overall, we do not recommend bringing a large group to this location (especially with a limited, mediocre quality, special menu). Elizabeth was our waitress, we came here on June 15. The food was good, the service could have been better. We ordered appetizers but the appetizers came out with the meal instead of them coming out first. We ordered Arnold Palmer and it tastes like they used unsweetened tea, we requested another one and it was no different. It was a group of six of us and when the food came out it was like three to four people bringing the food out at once, we had to ask Elizabeth for things repeatedly but we did finally get what we needed. Mimi's need to work on their employees really listening and perhaps repeating or writing down what customershave requested, it would stop unnecessary trips to the kitchen and keep repeated customers. I am writing to formally express my outrage regarding the way my family was treated at your Mimi's Café location on Medical Center Parkway on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at approximately 7:00 PM. My mother, teenage sister, and grandparents, including my grandfather who is a 100% disabled veteran and cannot walk well and uses a cane, arrived for dinner. The restaurant was nearly empty on a Saturday night at 7 PM. This should have been the first red flag. Out of respect for my grandfather's disability, we asked the hostess if we could sit at a table closer to the entrance. She initially agreed, but then proceeded to lead them all the way to the back of the restaurant. When my mother politely reminded her about the request and asked again about a nearby table, the hostess abruptly said, "This section is closed." There were clearly other patrons sitting in that section, so the explanation made little sense. I understand that servers may be cut and sections closed, but in this situation the professional and compassionate choice would have been for the server to walk a few extra steps to accommodate a disabled veteran. Instead, my family was met with resistance and attitude. The hostess, a short, heavy-set white woman with short hair, threw down the menus, scrunched up her face, and not jokingly but rudely and dismissively said to my mother, who is in her 50s, "Whatever bro." My mother responded appropriately, telling her, "You are very disrespectful, young lady. This is not how you talk to customers." The level of disrespect was so out of line that my family decided to walk out. As they were leaving, the manager, a white woman with auburn-brown hair, followed them outside to see what had happened. At that point, a server who had been sitting at the bar listening in, a white woman older, possibly in her 40s, with black hair and glasses, came outside. She interjected, taunted, and harassed my mother in the parking lot, shouting, "You're rude. You were the problem." Only then did the manager tell her to go back inside. This sequence of events was not only unprofessional but humiliating for my family. The manager briefly asked what had happened, but she did not seem interested or apologetic. She failed to address the mistreatment, made no effort to correct the situation, and offered no assurance that it would be handled. Her indifference was equally unacceptable. This entire experience was humiliating and infuriating. The blatant disrespect shown to my disabled veteran grandfather and to my mother is something I will not overlook. To be clear, you are lucky I, the oldest daughter, was not present for this interaction. The lack of action and accountability from the manager must be addressed and corrected. I strongly believe the two employees should be formally corrected if not terminated. Do better. read more

Perhaps if our server, jenna, I spent more time listening to us place our order instead of going to the bar and talking to the hostess, might have been a better experience. First of all we had to wait for our beverages, we're talking coffee and water and sweet tea, and then I repeated the order for her because she didn't and my order was completely wrong. The only thing she got right was toast. I asked her for a manager and she said okay and then I waited another five to seven minutes and had to tell the hostess that I wanted a manager and suddenly he came out. He offered to get me a correct order but I don't trust that they're not going to spit or drop my food on the floor because of Jenna and her poor customer service skills. Even the booth behind us had their order wrong and yes, she was their server also. When the manager came out, Aaron, he did everything but try to admit the mistake. He did all for me to have my pancakes, like I ordered instead of the French toast that I didn't order. He did take it off the bill. But I don't know if he's maybe friends with Jenna or what have you. She needs to be retrained. And even after all of this, I still left her a tip but not the tip that was suggested. And I did write on the Note for the receipt that the tip was not earned. We visited Mimi's Restaurant a couple of weeks ago for a friend's birthday, with a party of about 15. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch. Despite the size of our group, the service was pretty decent--we were seated once everyone arrived, though I would recommend having more than one server for such a large party. Our server, a young guy, did a great job managing our orders and keeping the bottomless mimosas flowing. Speaking of mimosas, they offer bottomless options, but there is an upcharge if you want flavored mimosas. You can also ask for your juice on the side, which we did because we like to pour our own--definitely recommend this if you're a champagne lover! The food was good, and everyone enjoyed their meals, though I didn't get any pictures since we were all pretty hungry by the time the food arrived. Was only given 6 dollars back and no receipt to check my change. Didn't see where they automatically take the tip out or anything. Her name was Breanne or Brittany, she was low spoken so I couldn't understand her completely. Don't mind the dollar and some change I just removed it from the tip I did leave. This was my second bad experience and I should have learned from the first one. I ordered the Monte Cristo French Toast and it's suppose to be a new item on their menu. Let's just say it was the WORST Monte Cristo I have had. It had an awful flavor/taste to it and it was dry. I don't believe they get recognized or appreciated as much as they should. Mimi's has been around a while but they have always been consistent to me--good food, good service and prices. When we went for Sunday brunch, it was busy like most other places but we were able to get seated right away compared to the 45min to hour wait at other restaurants. I love that their tables and booths are spacious and you are not sitting right up on the space of another party. As I said we went for brunch so we didn't even scan the lunch/dinner part of the menu this time but they have plenty of options available. I kept it simple with a egg, bacon and cheese croissant with potatoes. Hubs had the salmon omelette with potatoes and the carrot, nut raisin muffin. There wasn't any leftovers and we actually ordered muffins to go. Only added a little salt and pepper to the potatoes, everything else was seasoned well and tasty. They got way busier by the time we finished and people were waiting inside and outside for seating. So don't think this place isn't good, we just made good timing. read more
