When I first pulled up, I will admit, I said to myself "oh boy here we go again " but I've learned moving here that it's best to not judge the outside. So I took a chance. Inside is very clean and almost cantina looking, nothing you are going to go wow over in terms of looks. People were very nice and explained the menu to me. I honestly wasn't going to get a Ruben but the front desk girl talked me into it and I'm glad she did because it was YUMMY. If you like a ruben? Highly recommended to try it. The Cajun spiced hand cut fries were just an added bonus. They also have some sort of delicious cream soda too.

Saw this deli advertised in a free magazine I received with the mail and decided to grab a few things to take home. From their menu I chose the Ruben (recommended by the cashier), muffuletta, NY Dog, and sweet potato fries. Ruben and sweet potato fries were good - a solid 3 star. The muffuletta was more like a shout out to the muffuletta but not a true muffuletta so 2.5 stars. The home run was the NY Dog!! Delicious - a nice balance of thinly sliced onions and kraut (I'm not a kraut fan but eaten all together - magic!) on top of two long hot dogs that are cooked to perfection! I will definitely go back for that dog!

Ultimate Reuben, which adds bacon and banana peppers to the typical Reuben. The fries were shared from my dining partner.

Located on Hixson Pike, their sign stands out so it's pretty easy to find. They are on the end of a strip mall series of buildings so there is a good amount of parking near the building plus more behind the building. There is a handicapped space right near the front door. To get to the rear parking you need to go between the building to the left of Mimi's. There are only about ten spaces there and it's a little tight. Walking in, there is a pickup window immediately on your left. This is where you would get your online and call in orders. All others need to walk to the counter straight ahead. The counter is far enough from the door that any line shouldn't need to stand outside, and there is ample room inside to snake around without crowding everyone else. The menu is above the counter on TV screens. I found the menu a little hard to read due to the sunlight reflection, so I had to move around to read everything. The menu does include descriptions, so it can take awhile to get through, but you definitely know what you are getting. Ordering is quick and easy, and their payment system is one of the easiest I have used. The servers were pleasant and informative, and I was greeted several times as I made my way to the drink dispenser. Next to the drink disperser you will find utensils, napkins, lids, etc. You will also find some pickles. You don't get a pickle slice with your sandwich, but you can select from five different marinated pickles. The choices when I was there included BBQ, Cajun, dill, sweet, and buffalo. We decided to sit outside on the patio, and our server made a note so our food would be delivered there. You need to go back out the door to access the patio, which consists of four picnic tables under a covered area. Our food took 10-15 minutes to come out during the busy lunch rush. My Ultimate Reuben was very good. The marbled rye is heated in a panini press. The corned beef was about an inch thick, with plenty of sauerkraut as well. The added bacon was crispy and added a nice flavor to the typical Reuben, as did the banana peppers. The sauce is their own version of Thousand Island and certainly complimented the sandwich. Of special note are the fries. They are seasoned nicely and bet tasty. I would say a little too much salt, but most would probably find it to their liking. They were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Ordering a basket would not be a bad thing. Mimi's has an extensive menu which includes cheesesteaks, burgers, hot dogs, wraps, and melts. They also have several salads to choose from. Based on this experience, I anticipate many returns as I work my way through their menu.

I've always passed by here and a lot of people tell me it's good but I never get to stop by cuz my work hours never align. Today, the stars finally aligned for me to try it. First off, you get a wave of good smells when you walk in. I knew I was in for a good meal. They do have gluten free bread for an additional $1.50. We opted for a to go with a few items on different parts of the menu. Mimi's cheesesteak: Pretty good cheesesteak sandwich. Would be a good lunch meal for work. Mimi classic burger: okay so the price is what attracted me to this but idk if it got lost in translation for the cashier because I just asked for no lettuce no tomatoes and the ipad choices probably made it difficult somehow so she changed it to a build a burger and it went up a couple of dollars so that was kinda sad. Ultimate Reuben: it was smaller than I thought it would be in size and the amount of meat. It was flavorful though so I would get it again after I've tried other sandwiches. Overall: I would be back to try the other sandwiches since there's so many options and maybe even the breakfasts.

Did an online order. The Rock'n Wrap, chips with cajun and added to-go pickles. The wrap had very limited amount of chicken with an overwhelming amount of lettuce. Two bites in and the chicken was almost gone. They didn't give me my chips or to-go pickles. I know, I know I should have checked it. I guess because I didn't tip them 20% for a pick-up order, they decided to stick it to me.

    Breakfast Burrito inside.

1* Breakfast burrito is about the worst thing my wife and I have ever eaten at Mimi's. The ingredients in all their food are very basic and incredibly overpriced for what it is. We eat there every so often but we are never very satisfied. Burrito had uncooked onions and green peppers with insanely thin cut processed ham. Sweet salsa that was all over the foil and container when I got home. This item needs reevaluation. All around disgusting. We threw away an entire burrito bc it wasn't worth eating or saving. Split the other and choked it down bc we were starving. Spent over $25 for two burritos, no sides or drink. Mimi's gets a 1* bc after eating here time after time, it becomes more apparent and inescapable that it is simply, just a 1* deli. Sorry/Not Sorry

I did Edward's Point and Signal Mountain on a super hot morning hike and decided I had earned a huge sandwich and some pimento cheese so, I snuck in about 25 minutes before closing to get a sandwich to go. Staff were SO nice and welcoming. Telling me there was no rush, I could sit and eat, etc. I spoke to the charming Chris, who went over the entire menu with me and offered for me to sample a few of their pasta salads and pimento and made suggestions. He was the biggest sweetheart. In the end, they didn't have the daily special chopped Italian I'd seen so, I went with a turkey and cheese with pimento to go and some sweet tea. At checkout, another friendly and lovable female staffer was totally charming. My sandwich was HUGE and the pimento cheese was some of the best I've ever had! And, your girl is from the South so, I've had a metric ton of pimento in my life. I really like the location and the vibes inside. Local's gem. And the staff, A+++++

If you aren't sure how the establishment works, you can select your bread, sandwich type and then select what you want on your sandwich (onion, lettuce, pickles, tomato). They have an option where you try it "Mike's way" which means all of the "fixins" and then oils on top. I personally don't like oil and vinegar on my sandwiches but from those who have tried it- I hear it is good. The nice thing about Jersey Mike's is they slice the cheeses and meats in front of you. They have three sizes (Mini, regular and giant). The mini seems like a great size for kids. Regular would be equivalent to around a 6 inch and giant is what it sounds...giant. We have never dined in, but they do have a fair amount of seating options. We stopped in there on a Sunday around 1pm and it was packed. One thing that was chaotic were the number of online orders. They seemed to have a hard time keeping up with the online orders and the costumers in line. My husband ordered a chicken sandwich that involved using the grill which took up a lot of time. So, if you order deli meats that don't involve using a grill, it should be pretty quick service. If not, you will have to wait a while. The staff are all nice and willing to answer any questions you might after. There was a guy next to me that spilled his soda all over the floor and they were quick to clean it up. I found the location to be very clean. Overall, good sandwich place!

However, the service and food fell short. They were juggling in-store customers and takeout orders, and my sandwich accidentally got packed into someone else's takeout bag. I was dining in and watched multiple people who ordered after me get their food before I finally went up to the counter to ask about my order. As for the food, I ordered the Italian sub on the Parmesan roll, and it just didn't taste right. I'm not sure if it was a bad batch of the Parmesan bread or something else, but it had a really funny taste to it. I've been to the Jersey Mike's in Chattanooga and the hoagies there tasted much better. I appreciate the friendliness of the staff, but the food quality and order accuracy definitely need some attention.

I needed something quick, light, and close to our company office in Chattanooga. The ratings were strong, the reviews looked promising, and frankly when you call yourself Heaven, expectations go up fast. I'm not asking for miracles... but a great sandwich would be a nice start. First clue something was... developing... was the sign. Still a banner out front. Which usually means one of two things: 1. Brand new and figuring things out. 2. Someone lost a bet with a printing company. Inside felt like a sandwich shop that's been around for decades. Worn floors, chalkboards tossed up on the wall like they lost a game of darts, and the menu scribbled across them in chalk. Not charming-chaotic. More like... chaotic-chaotic. No problem. I'm here for the sandwich. I ordered the #1, because when a place names a sandwich after itself, that's usually the mic drop item. The "Heaven Classic." If you're going to plant your flag, plant it on the best hill. It came out fast. Very fast. Suspiciously fast. I brought it back to the office, opened it up, took a bite... and immediately felt like I'd been transported to the deli aisle of a gas station. "If this sandwich were any more average, it would come with an Oscar Mayer jingle." The bread was actually pretty good. Nice texture, solid foundation. But the filling? It felt like someone stopped at a convenience store, grabbed a pack of cold cuts, and said, "Yep... this'll do." Now here's where the plot twist comes in. Afterward I started digging through the reviews because the disconnect was wild. People were raving about this place. Five stars everywhere. I'm thinking, "Did I walk into the wrong universe?" Turns out... most of those reviews are for Steamboat. Looks like the place changed names sometime late last year. Same location, new name, very different experience. So the glowing reputation may belong to a former tenant. Which leads to my final thought... If this is Heaven, I'd hate to see the alternative. I'm landing at three stars, mostly because I'm feeling generous today and the bread deserved better than the situation it was put in. Would I go back? Probably not. Chattanooga has way too many great sandwich spots to gamble on purgatory again.
