    Reuben with fries
    Chris S.

Located in a small strip mall along busy Highway 153, it's a bit hard to find due to all the signs and other businesses. Luckily there are two entrances to the parking lot, so as you pass it you have a second chance. Parking is ample, and there are handicapped spaces in front of the door adjacent to the building. I tried to order online, but the website does not allow for specifying options if you order the monthly special. On the ordering site it only allows chips and Pepsi products. In the description it indicates fries and any drink. When I called in, the person was more than pleasant and I was able to get the monthly special as indicated in the description. I was told my food would be ready in 10 minutes. Walking in about 10 minutes later, the menu is on the wall to your immediate left. There are a lot of choices, and I'm sure that area can be crowded when they are busy. The order station is also right there, which would add to the congestion. Since I had ordered by phone, I just walked to the end of the line for the pickup. I was greeted by the same friendly person who took my order. She immediately put fries into the fryer and told me it would take two minutes. I can certainly wait two minutes for hot and fresh fries. The sandwiches were already made, and she also got my drink ready while waiting for the fries to cook. The Reuben monthly special was quite good. There was plenty of meat and sauerkraut, and enough Thousand Island dressing to taste without dripping all over everything. The bread started getting soggy at the end but never fell apart. The cheesesteak sandwich was also quite good. Plenty of meat and other ingredients. The fries were excellent. They are hand cut, and it certainly makes a difference in the taste. I was a little disappointed in the fresh squeezed lemonade. It was a little weak, although it was nicely tart. I wished for more lemon flavor. Although my server was very friendly and pleasant, the other two workers never looked up from their conversation. The entire time I waited they were talking to each other, although one was making a sandwich. Granted, my server was more than able to complete my order, but it would have been nice if the other workers at least once acknowledged someone else was in the room. I certainly know which worker I prefer.

    And it tastes good!

Everyone is always so pleasant when you come in. They are clearly understaffed but still had smiles on their faces. Best Philly in town! Fries like my Granny made. Fresh squeezed lemonade that is actually freshly squeezed! Come on with the free Wi-Fi I love to spend my lunch break here but it's also a great place to bring the kids for dinner! Don't forget about this place!

So much better than any other "chain" out there. Came in to the Hixson location for a late lunch, and was pleasantly greeted immediately. The menu was easily navigated but I went straight for the Philly cheese steak. Got it all the way with extra provolone. This one comes with banana peppers instead of green peppers, onions and mushrooms. You have 3 sizes to choose. The 9" regular was perfect! The bread was super soft and tasted very fresh. I order a medium (hand cut) order of fries. Fantastic! All in all I LOVED my meal! But the extra thing I noticed was how spotless this place was! I know a well run establishment when I see it. Big kudos to the staff! Will definitely be back!

I had never been to Penn Station before this encounter and I will say it was a good experience. Good sandwich at a reasonable price

    Philly cheese and fries. Delicious!!!

Phenomenal experience for me! I walked in during a slower time (about 3:30) and the place was spotless. I was greeted quickly with a smile from the actual owner. I asked for his recommendations and he told me the top 3 sellers and I chose the Philly cheesesteak. Every order is cooked to order. The fries are not frozen fries that taste plain. They use hand cut fries and you can Taste the difference! I personally like malt vinegar on hand cut fries, which thankfully they had. By the time I paid, got my drink and ketchup, napkins etc. I waited about 7 minutes. The bread had a crisp on it. The ribeye steak was cut thin and perfectly cooked, with the right amount of cheese for this melty sandwich of deliciousness! The fries were outstanding. A few minutes later I noticed the owner cleaning everything. He works clean, and it's evident that he wants his patrons to know his place is clean. As I was finishing my meal, he walked over and asked if everything was good. This always impresses me when an owner cares enough to get input from their customers. He is genuine and cares about your experience there. A tip for anyone that has a flexible schedule: Get there around 2:45-3:45 if you can! This place is an absolute 5 star sandwich shop.

Very nice staff and service but overall small, bland subs. We were a bit disappointed when we ate our lunch. The subs were a bit sparse, had no real flavor, and were tether small compared to other places. The staff were very nice and helpful plus the atmosphere was calm and relaxed which makes for a nice place to eat. Unfortunately, the food just doesn't match up. I honestly would not come back because of how disappointed I was in the subs we tried. I do not say that lightly as we got a selection of small subs to sample their offerings and no on in our group was impressed.

I love chains that start in one region with food from another. In this case it's Ohio bringing us "east coast" sammiches. I guess there's one of these near my brother in Knoxville. He likes to inform us of food in Knoxville like it's amazing (hint: it's not) and so when one of these opened up near our parents' house, we got sandwiches from there on Saturday. I guess its closest chain relative around this area would be Firehouse or Jimmy Johns? You don't have that pick your toppings sort of experience like Subway. You pick from the menu, though there is a build your own option, and can add/subtract. Then you walk down to the other end of the counter and pay. I have no idea really where you order the fries, it makes most sense at the front so that's what we did. The fries thing is a bit like Five Guys, they hand cut the potatoes, and you can get a massive bucket. They have four sandwich sizes to confuse and irritate you: 6", 8", 10", 12". There are a couple chicken sandwiches, but none of them sounded appetizing to me...teriyaki, chicken parmesan, chicken cordon bleu. A buffalo one was the monthly special but meh. There's a cheeseteak and a rueben for beef options. Then a club, a pizza, an Italian, and a sausage one. There's also an option for a veggie sandwich, an artichoke sandwich, or chicken/tuna salad. They are incredibly slow, and there is not any very good place for standing and waiting for your order. I got the Philadelphia Cheesesteak, which is not remotely like one at all, because they put pizza sauce on it. Yeah. I thought that sounded fun so I got it. It wasn't bad. It had meat, provolone, banana peppers, sauteed onions, mayo, brown mustard, and pizza sauce. The onions really needed to be sauteed a couple minutes longer. That was really my only complaint but there was nothing that amazing about the sandwich. The fries weren't that great. It just wasn't anything that stood out about the food. Just another sandwich chain, honestly. Oh and everything is canned, so even though a grilled artichoke sandwich sounds great, they come from a giant can as seen on display by the checkout. No. And they serve Pepsi so I guess I'll probably never see one of these in Atlanta.

Best sandwich place in Hixson, really good fries. Never a line to wait in. Only took a couple minutes to make my order.

If you aren't sure how the establishment works, you can select your bread, sandwich type and then select what you want on your sandwich (onion, lettuce, pickles, tomato). They have an option where you try it "Mike's way" which means all of the "fixins" and then oils on top. I personally don't like oil and vinegar on my sandwiches but from those who have tried it- I hear it is good. The nice thing about Jersey Mike's is they slice the cheeses and meats in front of you. They have three sizes (Mini, regular and giant). The mini seems like a great size for kids. Regular would be equivalent to around a 6 inch and giant is what it sounds...giant. We have never dined in, but they do have a fair amount of seating options. We stopped in there on a Sunday around 1pm and it was packed. One thing that was chaotic were the number of online orders. They seemed to have a hard time keeping up with the online orders and the costumers in line. My husband ordered a chicken sandwich that involved using the grill which took up a lot of time. So, if you order deli meats that don't involve using a grill, it should be pretty quick service. If not, you will have to wait a while. The staff are all nice and willing to answer any questions you might after. There was a guy next to me that spilled his soda all over the floor and they were quick to clean it up. I found the location to be very clean. Overall, good sandwich place!

Naming your sandwich shop Tasty Heaven Sandwich Shop "Heaven" is a bold strategy. That's not…read morebranding... that's a performance guarantee. I needed something quick, light, and close to our company office in Chattanooga. The ratings were strong, the reviews looked promising, and frankly when you call yourself Heaven, expectations go up fast. I'm not asking for miracles... but a great sandwich would be a nice start. First clue something was... developing... was the sign. Still a banner out front. Which usually means one of two things: 1. Brand new and figuring things out. 2. Someone lost a bet with a printing company. Inside felt like a sandwich shop that's been around for decades. Worn floors, chalkboards tossed up on the wall like they lost a game of darts, and the menu scribbled across them in chalk. Not charming-chaotic. More like... chaotic-chaotic. No problem. I'm here for the sandwich. I ordered the #1, because when a place names a sandwich after itself, that's usually the mic drop item. The "Heaven Classic." If you're going to plant your flag, plant it on the best hill. It came out fast. Very fast. Suspiciously fast. I brought it back to the office, opened it up, took a bite... and immediately felt like I'd been transported to the deli aisle of a gas station. "If this sandwich were any more average, it would come with an Oscar Mayer jingle." The bread was actually pretty good. Nice texture, solid foundation. But the filling? It felt like someone stopped at a convenience store, grabbed a pack of cold cuts, and said, "Yep... this'll do." Now here's where the plot twist comes in. Afterward I started digging through the reviews because the disconnect was wild. People were raving about this place. Five stars everywhere. I'm thinking, "Did I walk into the wrong universe?" Turns out... most of those reviews are for Steamboat. Looks like the place changed names sometime late last year. Same location, new name, very different experience. So the glowing reputation may belong to a former tenant. Which leads to my final thought... If this is Heaven, I'd hate to see the alternative. I'm landing at three stars, mostly because I'm feeling generous today and the bread deserved better than the situation it was put in. Would I go back? Probably not. Chattanooga has way too many great sandwich spots to gamble on purgatory again.

Good basic sandwich. Bread always fresh, and I think made on site. Usually brisk business but quick…read moreservice nonetheless.
