I have been seeing Adrienne for 10 years plus, and she has been the best thing that has ever happened to both my hair and my self image. Hair by Sophea I have been a client of Sophea's for over 8 years. I've followed her to Mimi's. My hair has always been so coarse, dry, split ends, frizzy you name it. I've had Brazilian blow outs, colored, highlights, extensions, basically everything you can get done in a salon. I always get compliments on my hair and have referred many friends to her. I'm def not happy briana did my daughters hair I asked for something like the first picture. I'm not dumb I know it's not gonna b that blonde the first time. After she started she said it would take a few sessions which I'm fine with. I asked her if she used 40 developer and she said no. So when I pick up my daughter I see this. It's practically the same color!!! Clearly they just want you to come back 5-8 times paying them $160 each time to lighten it 1 shade if that. She knows how to use bleach her own hair was blonde but they r just trying to get u to come multiple times don't even waist your money here. read more

Really don't ever post reviews but wanted to share my experience. I've been to Mimi's before and got my hair done by Adrienne.. Super great job and was so happy with service. A few year later I decided to give another stylist Lauren a shot and was excited to work with her and get my hair done before a family event. I drove to Fontana and had a consultation with Lauren and everything was set for an appointment and prices were discussed everything was A-OK. Then literally the night before I was supposed to go in for my appointment Lauren text me and says she has a family emergency I was cool about it and let her know that I was fine. She proceeded to let me know that she we would re-schedule in 2 weeks and she would give $10 off. Throughout the course of that Saturday I noticed her activity on her Instagram sharing a photo of what looks like to be a fresh hair appointment on another person. That photo took me aback by surprise but still didn't run to conclusions. Following that week I gave enough time and asked Lauren when could I reschedule to go back she then gave me a time which I told her it wouldn't work with me and after that she completely went ghost. I was frustrated and disheartened by the fact that she lead me on for a appointment and I was unable to get my hair done by the time I want it I was so upset and was so annoyed with the fact that she still didn't even try to text me back we literally only had two conversations and she stopped messaging me. This is not right and it really makes me sad because I have never experienced this ever with a stylist. If you are hiring stylist they should be honest and cooperative with their clients experiences like this scares people off read more

DONT GO HERE! Don't trust this salon! Went with a friend and she wanted to dye her hair black with white/gray ombré highlights and this is the result. She noticed that something was wrong and the hair stylist said, "oh I didn't know that you noticed". At the end my friend left with her hair wet and not styled and rushed to work and didn't see the end product until she got home. DONT GO HERE!!!!! read more

I started going to Mimi's on a friends recommendation about a year ago; though my friend didn't recommend anyone in specific I chose Wendy Perez and I haven't been happier with my choice. She took my hair from a dark brown to the blonde pictured. I wanted a natural and slow progression in color and she did a great job. I even made the decision to do a Keratin Treatment (I have natural curly hair) and she was wonderful, talked me thru the process and explained and answered any questions I had. I hadn't seen any reviews on Yelp about Wendy, and since I have been so happy about the work she's done on my hair I figured it was time she got some recognition. Good morning, I booked an appointment with Paola for today Sunday @ 10:30 am, I've tried calling and texting and have not got a response , i arrived here @ 10 am I DROVE FROM ORANGE COUNTY , it took me an hour to get here. ITS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL OF HER TO NOT EVEN HAVE THE DECENY TO ANSWER OR HAVE CANCELED ON ME. I literally was looking forward to this day. I'm literally crying in my dam car because she didn't show up, I'm dealing with the loss of my father and just barely getting back the norm. I canceled all my plans for the weekend to make sure I can make this drive this morning, she literally stole this day for me , i won't be getting home until noon now. If you're have stylist on your page you should at least ones that have respect towards people. I will never get this time back. She couldn't easily messaged me in the morning a day before that she wouldn't make it.I confirmed again November 17th. I'm glad I was a joke to her. read more

I haven't been back since 4 years ago or so, I did get a recently again here because it was closer to me. The girl that helped me while friendly did not get my color the way I wanted it at all. She tried to fix it a second time for free but again total failure. I'm sorry to say that it was not worth the $300 I paid. I'd rather do the drive to Downey next time. Also my hair now has a rough texture to it. While as before it was smooth. The Downey location definitely uses different products that cause less damage to my hair. read more

Valerie asked me to come in to see my hair and to see if she can fit me in the same day. I arrived and was seen by Valerie shortly. I went in without a good idea of what I wanted with my hair as I had never got it done professionally. I decided to do balayage. Valerie suggested to go Ashy color. She was so nice, friendly and did such an awesome job. I walked out of the salon feeling like a brand new person and I'm so thankful for that as I needed the extra confidence booster.
