I had called and made an appointment. when making the appointment I asked what the cost would be for a full set short coffin nails color white ombré. she said the starting price was $55 for a full set and goes up depending on length shape and color then she stated mine should be around $58-$60. upon arriving for me appointment she said I was not on the books and I never called it wasn't until I showed her my call log that she remembered my appointment then proceeded to say " you want short white ombré nails right" even though the only time I said that was on the phone. I then showed her my inspo pic and she said oh that's $80 and you didn't bring your own file so that's another $3 charge and when I said I was confused and explained the call and that she never Informed me about having to bring my own nail file she proceeded to call me a liar and said I was unhappy and yelling I HAVE NEVER and WOULD NEVER yell at someone I'm trying to get a service from. I then apologized if it seemed like I was unhappy and yelling I was just confused and she said "no I will not be doing your nail. Leave" and proceeded to tell me that she would not be doing my nails because I'm a liar and I was screaming at her. I never even slightly raised my voice. i was so embarrassed and so angry I left in tears the two women getting pedicures looked at me with pitty as I walked out. I'm a new mom of twins. My birthday is in 5 days and it's been over a year since I've been able to have my nails done. I just wanted to feel pretty again and this is how I got treated. Absolutely the worst encounter with a nail salon owner ever! I had a pedicure which was okay...I sat down with Steven , one of the owners for an acrylic fill. I was still choosing color and asked for his opinion. He started yelling that I need to choose my own color..then I requested nicely that I would like my nails square and thin amount of product. That was it for him, he hit the roof...he asked me where I had my nails done before and when I said Palm Springs he yelled "then you go back there!! I do my best that's all I can do for you!!!" I pre-booked my appointment for Wednesday, April 15 for a soak off and a new set. (I'm new to the area and was looking for a new nail salon or technician for regular bookings and engagement/wedding nails for myself and brudesmaids). Teresa was my nail tech and seemed very put out that I sheduled for a soak off and refused to have her pop off my nails with a nail tip. I have over 10 years in the professional beauty industry and i've been getting my nails done for the last 20 years. The fact that a nail salon still tried to remove acrylics with nail tips is barbaric and against everything they teach us in beauty school. This may seem like a silly side note. But I was only offered one selection for nail colors, while other clients around me received multiple. Throughout my appointment, I was very unpleased with shaping and her filing into my fingertips instead of the actual nail. I asked for a pointed almond and gave a reference photo. But started off with rounded tips. After multiple times of asking for almond pointed, I showed her the reference photo again, and she attempted to fix the nail shape. It was better than the round but I was still upset that I spent two hours and $120 for my services for my nails to not come out as they should have.(i feel I should also mention that they charge for new files and buffers as that fee is not included in the services themselves and I was not made aware of this prior to my appointment). I called and spoke with Stephen on April 17th expressing that I was displeased with how my nails came out since they are uneven, pointing downward, off center, ect. After going around in circles with stephen about either coming in to have a correction or a discount on my upcoming fill. I asked what can be done, needless to say, he had zero solutions since days and times over the next five days did not coordinate with my schedule for work and their client bookings. I expressed my frustration and simply asked how he maintains unsatisfied clientele and why a discount could not be given for the next fill. Being in a similar industry, if a client is upset with my work I always offer to correct or offer a discount at their next service. (Oftentimes, my clients will end up paying the full amount as their tip included.) He did not like this response and let me know "that's not how we run a business here". After asking to speak with mimi, the owner, he refused to give any days that she would be available. Instead, he would give mimi an update as to our conversation. I asked if he needed any additional information for her to call me. Stephen rudely stated that Mimi would absolutely not be calling me and that I "would never be getting a call back." Considering I asked for no specialty designs, this should not have been a difficult set and an easy fix. I never insinuated that I wanted a free service, I simply asked for either a correction over the next couple of days or to have some sort of discount on and upcoming appointment. As you can see, my shape was not sufficient to the photo I provided as a reference, and his reoccurring statement that "I should have stayed and had her correct the nails that same day." I don't know about the rest of you, but after 2 hours of sitting and having an unsatisfactory service, the last thing I want to do is stay in salon for an additional hour to have things corrected multiple times after stating multiple times throughout the service that I was unhappy. Needless to say, I will more than likely be looking for a new nail tech after this encounter which is unfortunate. Because from what I've heard, Mimi does excellent nails, especially designs. Stephen should not be dealing with clients in my professional opinion. And Theresa could use more practice before charging full price. read more

I drove almost 2 hours since the do dip powder. My nails look like a child did them. There is color everywhere and the technician tried to file it off of my flesh!! She also refused to set the gel top coat with the UV light so my nails are tacky to the touch. For this hack job, I was charged $68. RUDEST owner I have ever encountered! Service was terrible, pedicure was terrible, massage was terrible, nails were not cut straight, and extra money for polish! The owner literally would not fix my nails and asked us to leave because we were not happy with our service. WOW! He should not be in business at all! Even disrespectful to my children. I moved up from CA about 6 months ago & have been looking for a good nail salon. This place is great. Very clean! Everyone was very nice. Did a great job on my pedicure. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that it was a little pricey...however, they do offer complimentary drinks (Mimosas, Vodka Cranberry, Tequila Sunrise, etc). I guess if I drank that would appeal to me & justify the prices a little bit. Will definitely be back! read more

I brought my grand daughter for a pedicure and she is only 5! They were so good to her. She wanted rainbow sparkle toes and they used 5 colors! And my pedicure! Awe, they got all my callouses off and my cuticles look great! My color stays on and doesn't flake, price is very reasonable actually great for the service and they offer free drinks! I went in this evening for a 5 o'clock pedicure at 4:55. They let me know that my appointment was at 4:45 and told me they would do my toes this one time. I've been going to them for many many years I have followed them from Walmart, toTamara'a spa, to their current location. I've been nothing but supportive of them and I have often waited more times than not for my nail appointment when Mimi is always running late. When I was berated this evening and felt embarrassed and disappointed with their behavior. I was told that they would be canceling all of my future appointments because they didn't like how I was treating them. Isn't that ironic. I don't know the man's name that did my pedicure, but he was BEYOND rude. I had acrylic on my nails that I wanted off and replaced with gel polish. He huffed and puffed and sighed the entire time, drilling and complaining about the terrible job they had done at the last place and telling me over and over again how bad my nails looked and how I should never do acrylic on my toes ever again... I just wanted a pedicure, I didn't come to listen for 45 minutes that the last salon messed up. My entire pedicure consisted of a 5 second scrub on each foot with Softsoap hand soap and then lotion. That's it, that was the end of the pedicure. At the end, I was given a little bag with the materials used to do my "pedicure," charged $5 for them, and told to bring them back to my future appointments. I have never in all my years seen anything like it. I will NEVER be back here and I highly recommend finding somewhere else to go. read more

If I could give a zero I would... I don't usually write reviews but I had the worst experience related to customer service here in my life. the encounter with him was in 2021 but I still the about it util today, and I wanted to let people know. The first time I went to Steven the salon was still down town, I went in and I had a great experience, he did exactly what I asked him to do, a beautiful ombré out of acrylic, we made small talk it was very pleasant, I went in for a fill and wanted black French tips and one solid black nail, they looked great when I left but by then end of the day the gel polish he used for the tips has already began to chip off. I called him the next day and went in, he was a bit irritated but I understand that, I just asked him to leave them with the ombre like I had the before since it was from acrylic and still there, to make it simple as I could see he was already irritated and I also didn't want to waste his product. I also paid him $15.00 for the change. I think the black tips design was juts not the best and would continue to chip even if he re did it, but for the price and also the fact that it is a paid for service, if it was me I would have redone it without hesitation. I wasn't being irrational wanting it fixed. I went to the new location there by 6th street, I sat down and had some ideas about color but was asking for his opinion, he was not at all interested in giving me his opinion about colors, or friendly in any way. I picked what I wanted and then asked him "what do you think", that is when he threw his drill down to the table and slid his chair back and began to yell at me in front of EVERYONE, it was mortifying. "you complain about nail, you never happy, etc. You always make problem. etc etc, I was stunned, I said "no, no, i'm just trying to ask for help, im sorry", I started to cry and then he said something about that. I said okay I will go and he was yelling "good go". I put 10.00 on the table because he had already filed and prepped my nails, and he picked it up and threw it at my face. I took my money and when to my car and cried. I was in shock. I still am, I can't possibly the only one who he has treated like this. I don't feel that I am an unreasonable person at all, I don't complain about much. And if I do its never rude, if someone pays for a service they should be allowed to make changes especially in a nail salon. I wouldn't give him any more service. read more

I went here today to get my nails done for the first time since my daughter was born, I was hoping for a relaxing and nice manicure and what I got was the opposite, considering it's a nice place, Steven I believe is his name, was not, I asked him to please shape them a little better and he told me to go have my friend who is a cosmetologist in training to do it, and told me nails will never be perfect, like yes I get that but they can look decent, which was what I was hoping for, he was rude and refused to do what I asked, and ignored most of everything I was saying, I was doing my best to be nice and even left a tip considering how unsettling the whole experience was, I do understand I was 3 minutes late but he didn't have to do such a choppy job, I've already filled them to an okay shape since they were squovals and I asked for almond, there's gel on my cuticles and my pinky nail has a see through spot with my thumb being streaky, I'm very disappointed in the results and will not be returning here again. read more
