Been coming here for years and they're always consistent and do flawless work. In the last 7 years I have never left unhappy. Mimi and Vicky are still my gals but literally everyone is good. THIS is the best spot in the Sacramento area for nails!

First visit after the nail shop I supported for several years changed hands. Read the Mimi reviews and decided to give them a try. Called for appt and scheduled. Upon arriving i saw a fairly busy and nicely layed out shop. The pedi chairs looked great. I was greeted and seated quickly in the pedi chair. Nice clean comfortable. They have a lot of polish choices. The walls are filled. I did go with the basic pedicure and the service was great. My toes look great. I had a male as my nail technician. He did a great job and I will come back.

I came across Mimi's Nails when I was living in my apartment up the road. They have always been super easy and friendly to make appointments with or even walk in! I've come here periodically for my nails and pedicure time to time and never have been disappointed. They always have so many fun mail colors! And I suggest trying the wine scrub with your pedicure!

So I called at 10:30 for an appointment. It's 11:54 now and they still haven' started my pedicure. They sat me in a pedicure chair at about 11:00 AM. The water got cold quickly Nobody asked me how the water was!! It was like I didn't even exist. Okay so now it's 11:57 and he's finally started my pedicure. Im beyond frustrated and im very easy going. This is the worst case of customer service I have ever experienced in a nail salon. Why tell me on the phone to come in right now only to make me wait for an hour and 20 minutes. That's a very very long time!!!!! I don't think I'll be back. This is my fourth time here. They do good nails but customer service is so important and they failed!

I'm SO happy I found Jason again!!! Well, he found me lol This place was once Deluxe Nails on Riley st and they suddenly got different owners. I thought I lost my favorite mani-pedi place for good! Lowe and behold, Jason sends me a message to let me know they moved to a new location. They made such an upgrade!!! It looks AMAZING in here! Super chic and modern, extremely clean, and great work. So the first time Jason helped me out and I got dip powder for the first time. This lasted me longer than 3 weeks and my nails grew so evenly after damaging so much with acrylics. 2nd visit was w/Nelson. I asked if a classic french manicure was possible with dip powder and he said yes. going on 2 weeks now and i absolutely LOVE it. Have had so much compliments as to how simple & classic they look and NOT even acrylic. Nelson took his time and was with me until closing. He made sure my nails were fresh and was very comforting to speak to. So far I'd recommend Jason or Nelson as techs on your next visit! read more

I got a dip powder manicure here with some French tips. Very nice store, the people inside know what they're doing for sure. The people were very accommodating and very nice but I didn't receive a full manicure- no cuticle care or anything, just straight into the powder. The nails look great for the most part, but one or two look a bit crooked and the line work is wobbly and uneven on my right hand. There's also too few layers of polish on a few nails. read more

KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR CREDIT CARD CHARGES!!! I used to love this place... until last time... everything was great and I wrote in a $20 tip for a $50 service because I was so happy... a few days later I see my card was charged $125! I am now in the process of disputing with my credit card, filing with the BBB and with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. read more

I got a fill done last Monday and after 4 days the tip of my nails started to chip and the gel polish came off. Even at the time she did my nails she did a poor job, she was in a hurry to get done because they were behind and appeared like they overbooked people. I waited for 35 minutes until I was seated. Poor quality and poor services. Very disappointed. Waste of $50 and my time. read more

Went to Mimi's with my daughters wedding party. We all had the #1 pedicure. I paid for all of our group - upon receiving the amount only two of the pedicures were the same amount. Two of the pedicures were different prices all together. When I questioned it they said we ordered differently which was not the case. Nail prices were quoted differently as well. The quality was not good. The toe nail polish was put on so thin you could see your nails Uber the paint. Save your money on this guys!!!! read more

Been trying to find a good nail salon in folsom. My nails chip really easily. I went to Mimis today and wow am I impressed. I had Emmy and she was so meticulous with my nail shape and buffed them to perfection. So happy with how they turned out. Will definitely be coming back to her. read more

It was my first time at this salon and I really wanted it to be my to-go salon but unfortunately that will not happen. I got a pedicure the 2nd one that comes with 15min massage. The lady was in so much rush that she massaged no more then 5 minutes. In addition, she didn't even cut my cuticles. Threw in a quick polish and ran to another customer. Very upsetting! read more

Was a walk-in for a fill and they took me immediately, though I wouldn't have been upset if there was a wait! The gentlemen who did my nails helped me find the exact color I was looking for after the one I picked wasn't quite it. They have a ton of color choices! Before becoming a mom, I got my nails done religiously. Now, I'm lucky if I get to wash my hair every few days! I'm getting married next week and knew I HAD to get my nails done. I saw Mimi, but I know everyone there is just as amazing! She recommended a beautiful style that is prefect for a wedding. However, once she was done, I knew I needed to go back to getting my nails done regularly. Just makes you feel soo good! Also, they have so many different options. The nail salons I went to in east sac weren't near as up to date on trends and new techniques. I legitimately felt like I could pick any nail idea and they could do it whereas other salons I've been to have said, "oh, we don't offer that." When I moved to Folsom a few years ago I luckily discovered Deluxe Nails and started having Jason do my nails every two weeks. Now he and his sister have moved to Mimi's nails and the service is just as good and the interior even nicer. I never want the same thing twice and Jason is always up for a new shape or color idea. The rest of the staff is also talented and I have had some really great pedicures there as well. Even though I now live in Granite Bay, I never even considered trying to find someone else local to do my nails. read more

My daughter had a full set put on for her Quinceaneara picture and Mimi did an excellent job. We have a 4pm appointment and she took us right away. She listened to what we wanted and was very careful and meticulous to make my daughters nails look perfect. It was the first time my daughter has ever had her nails done and she loves them. Was able to walk in on Saturday for a last minute gel manicure for a holiday party, and it was a great experience overall. Special care was taken around my cuticles, application was even and the nail tech (Linh?) made sure I was satisfied with the color since it didn't pop as hard as the template, but I was very happy with the outcome. Great experience, highly recommend to anyone looking for a nail salon in Folsom! Can't wait to come back here for a pedicure as well. read more

I went to Mimi's for a pedi and gel mani right after they re-opened the salon and had a wonderful experience. My mom and I called and made reservations, which I would recommend doing as I'm not sure if they are allowing walk-ins. Customers are required to wear a mask before entering, and all of the employees wear them as well. There are plastic dividers installed at each nail station, and customers are seated apart from each other. Overall, it felt safe and comfortable to be inside the salon. Also they have probably the biggest color selection out of any salon I've been to in Folsom - literally a whole wall of nail polish! I think they're on the pricier side ($25+ for pedi and $30 for gel mani), but they do a great job, and everything feels really clean/well-maintained, so I don't mind paying a little extra. read more

Had an appointment drove 30-45mins looking for the place address and gps took me somewere else then they didnt answer there phone so wasted over 2 hrs driving for nothing. Never got a chance to see ir done the work but was major inconvience for me. read more

Michael always did my Pedicures at the other location so I was so happy when Jason let me know that Michael moved over to Mimis Nails! He is so thorough, meticulous and he gives the best messages! I haven't done my nails in a long time but tonight I decided to get a full set by Mimi and of course they are perfect! Mimi's Shop is so cute! It's very nice and inviting. Beautiful nail salon. Very spacious, clean, and welcoming. The staff is excellent, very attentive and gentle and I love that they're not pushy. A great variety of colors to choose from. If I could give zero stars for the experience I just had. I would. It makes me sad because in the past I had wonderful experiences and they always do a great job with my nails. Vicky and Katreena(not sure if she's still there) have been great. Back to today. I had an appointment for a fill. I get there. No one really batted an eye at me. Once I got seated the man (I think Jason, the owner) started shaving down the nails on my right hand. As he's doing that, 2 older women walk in, one announced they both had appointments. He greets them by name and said "I'll be right with you" I wondered about timing but said nothing as my service was still being provided. Well he finished with my right hand and asked me to sit in a chair and that Ana would take over once she was done with her current client. 15 mins go by..25 mins...I start getting upset and start contemplating when to leave. Then Ana asks if I'm okay to wait a few more minutes. And that's when I had it. I said no, got up and left with one hand looking like sh*t. I had an appointment, just like the other women who came after me. Clearly MY business was not important to them. They did try calling me later but I was busy getting my nails done elsewhere. They tried to run the UV light for a fourth time on my toes!!! I had to say no thank you, you already ran it 3 times for 90 seconds each! Granted I had not had acrylic nails for many years so when she asked me, up front, if I wanted square or rounded, I said kind of square but short. There were no photos there for me to see as an example. Afterwards, I didn't care for how squared off my nails looked & I said I didn't really know how they would look without a photo. She got really annoyed with me & said I should have looked up photos on my phone first. I said "oh well can you file them a little?" She seemed quite annoyed (there were no other customers waiting) but filed them to be rounded. I was happy with the result. She also seemed upset with me quite a few times because my fingers weren't relaxed. I apologized to her & said I wasn't used to having my nails done. Overall, she was very unfriendly. I actually came back a week later to have the nails removed because I didn't like how thick they felt. She removed them & was very unfriendly again. I would not go back.

For my fingers I chose the builder gel full set because I want to keep my natural nails and I like them short since I do a lot of typing and yard work. I picked a color an Thuy did a great job matching up my longer nails with my broken shorter nails so they looked more uniform. We had great conversation and I felt really comfortable. I left feeling really satisfied with my experience and knowing that I just found my new nail spot. If you're looking for a new spot that will really take care of you and you're in the Orangevale/Folsom area, look them up!

I rarely get my nails done, and even less so post a review, BUT I had this nail salon recommended to me by my older sister who RAVED about it. I went in knowing I wanted short, almond, xmas themed nails but that's it. So even though my friend and I were twenty minutes early to our appointment, they seated us right away. My manicurist's name was Anna and she was AMAZING. Super patient with all my indecisiveness, especially since I wanted short almonds and that's pretty hard to get the shape right but she executed it SO well. I've been to places that dont really spend time on the actual quality of the nail itself, but Anna really knew what she was doing. I love how these turned out, I love the snowflake, I love the green glitter over black, and they're like my version of christmas. Will go again read more
