Happened to stumble across this cute cafe on accident, and it honestly became the highlight of my Miami trip! Me and my girlfriends could not stop raving about the cheese empanadas. We also got the chicken sandwich which was light but filling and tasted very fresh. The drink coffee and smoothie were very unique, but also delicious. The staff was very sweet and told us how everything was house made and you could taste the love in every bite. Stoped here for lunch today, we had a steak salad, bacon bacon burger and a Calle El Hambre with parm fries. The Calle El Hambre was absolutly amazing best I have had while visiting this fair city. Had the pasta lunch special on Thursday. It was Alfredo sauce with bacon and chicken milanese. The chicken was thin and crispy and delicious! We managed to get a table but the place was packed. I'm so happy I found this place! It's a small cafe in downtown that everyone needs to know about. Or not so I can always get a seat haha. It's very open inside with soft music playing. The staff was all very nice and super attentive. I got the half panini and half salad which was great portion sizes for the price. The boo got a cheeseburger and fries and said they were great! I can tell this is an underrated spot, but it's a IYKYK kind of situation. Mina has been open downtown since 2016, kind of by Space. It's pretty hidden in a strip mall. They have parking!! The menu focuses on arepas, tequenos, empanadas, salads, and sandwiches. They have fresh juice too. They have good lunch specials and fun pop ups like burgers and tacos. This placed is located in downtown miami! It's located downstairs from Park place. I lived there for about 8 years and this place has never let me down. The service is friendly and nice. The esthetics feel like a Internet cafe/Starbucks but it looks nice and clean inside. I usually only order Pepitos (chicken/steak...no ketchup & mustard with extra garlic and cilantro). Mina is a short five minute walk from my office building so I often go for lunch and order the lunch special. They have a different lunch special everyday of the week, usually under $10. Great food, great service and great prices!! As my team and I got often we've become quite familiar with the staff which are super friendly and attentive!! This tucked away little bistro is adorable and had great food at the right price. I love how quaint the decor inside was and appreciated our very attentive service. Even the owner came up to us to check in on us which is always a delight as a customer. My boyfriend and I split the veggie burger and the pizza burger. The veggie burger was okay but that's just because I don't think it's made in house though they dress it up with fresh ingredients. Ordered a Steak & Leek Panini with a side of Pumpkin Soup for take out. The Panini was pretty good but a little small and the Pumpkin Soup was different but great. I'll have to try the Tomato Soup next time! The restaurant is situation right near the American Airlines so it's definitely a good spot to get a quick bite before a game. This place is a hidden gem. I wish I lived closer because I'm obsessed with their pepito! They always have really good specials too. I would not think to order Rigatoni Bolognese from a Venezuelan restaurant but I am extremely happy I did. I always go with the server's recommendation and I am never disappointed! This little place is just what I needed at the moment and I didn't even know it was there because it's one of those joints only people in the neighborhood would know about. I've read that the previous owners weren't the nicest but I never met them so all I can say is that the new owners are very nice people. They have a nice menu consisting of sandwiches, soups, salads and pizzas. A few customers were eating pizza and a few of them were taking out so I guess their pies are good. I wanted to start with a sandwich and soup for first visit so I got me the Steak Panini and the tomato soup. The panini comes toasted so the crunchiness of the bread combined with the creaminess of the avocado with melted cheese and the steak gave it a perfect balance. The sandwich is huge and I wasn't expecting that which is why I also ordered a cup of the tomato soup. I don't regret ordering the soup because it was delicious and creamy like a tomato bisque/soup should be made. The place is really quiet and peaceful and the decor/ambiance is pretty unique. I tried this place for breakfast and also ordered lunch since it was going to be a long day in the office. Ordered a breakfast sandwich which was ok served with generic potato chips out of a bag. The smoked salmon bagel was super dried, overloaded with dried unseasoned arugula and the salmon was barely there.
