Came in after a rainy day at the museum and it was a great experience with our friendly and knowledgeable waiter! He gave really yummy recommendations. Plus there was no strict dress code. Drink: the No-Name (gin, lime juice, Prosecco) which was so refreshing and perfect- not too sweet or tart. Appetizers: all beef meatballs with marinara sauce & garlic bread. Pro tip: dip the garlic bread into the marinara sauce for warm, delicious hugs with each bite. Literally melted in your mouth! Entree: half chicken & vegetables. Chicken was very moist and flavorful. Food is not good. Especially at the price point. Ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese yesterday. The sauce was bland and pasta overcooked. The service was ok. Ambiance was quaint and quiet with dim lighting, occasional distraction of the servers (locals) loudly talking out in the dining area. This type of distraction could have been avoided if they would have done this behind the kitchen door and away from the diners trying to enjoy their meals in peace. Today I gave them a second chance and ordered takeout thespaghetti and meatball. I figured "that's a dish you can't mess up". I was wrong. I couldn't finish it. Meatballs were soggy and fall apart. And the sauce, again bland, maybe even more so compared to yesterday. Thankfully I didn't have to pay for it since the hotel comps it. Came here last night. I have to say I LOVED my plate. I ordered the 'Homemade Gnocchi' with Bolognese sauce. It was delicious. The only downside was when I got there, I was seated at a table where I could only sit across from the person I was with. I asked if we could move tables as the dining seating area was completely empty, there were only people at the bar. The hostess refused. When we sat next to each other, then we were offered another table in the corner. The booth seat was sunken so it was uncomfortable, but I didn't say anything because the person I was with didn't. A light was flickering overhead for over an hour until the lights were dimmed, which I loved. Overall though, that didn't affect the experience, I just felt it was a lack of awareness. This restaurant is on the first level of the Double Tree. We were staying here for a work event during Art Basel, so you can imagine that the whole area was busy. I had the wedge salad with salmon. It hit the spot. The dressing was tasty and surprisingly I woke up thinking of how much I enjoyed it. We sat outside were it was not as loud. Inside the restaurant it was a bit louder than what we were looking for. The outdoor seating sits along the valet parking area, however when seated you don't even notice the valet taking place. I tried aperol spritz. Aston can see in the photo, it was way to orange and tasted like cough medicine. Joshua our waiter took it back immediately. Joshua was efficient. For a restaurant located inside a DoubleTree hotel, the food wasn't that bad. The pasta was al dente, although not all the pasta was boiled the same. I entered from the hotel lobby, but you can also access the restaurant from the mall. The restroom is just to the left side of the bar. There is only one toilet. The inside of this restaurant is very small and dark. They have some bar seating. The tables outside are more spacious. I got the rigatoni bolognese for lunch. It was mid. We came for ladies night and didn't know we would only receive those specials at the bar. The manager said " that's our rule, I'm just following the rule". That's bad customer service, in my opinion. So let me just say that the food is good. However, the service leaves A LOT to be desired. So I went to the restaurant for lunch upon my arrival as soon as they opened. Sat at the bar. Bartender was not very friendly at all but my vegetable lasagna was really good. Seasoned perfectly and even though the $20 price point was a bit much for veggie lasagna I enjoyed it. Decided I would grab a salad to bring back to my room for dinner. Stood at the front of the restaurant for awhile as servers walked past me, no hostess and finally a waitress came and asked me how she could help me. I explained I wanted to do an order to go and she grumbled she would be back and came back in a few minutes and took my order. I ordered the spinach and pear salad with salmon no tomatoes. She told me it would be "max 15 minutes". After 15 mins I went back to the podium. Watched as the person who had just took an order to the residence portion of the hotel walked right past me into the restaurant. The original waitress who helped me would not look at me. Finally a NICE hostess came to the podium asked me what I had and said she would check on it as the waitress who was first helping me stood off to the side and watched me. I waited probably another 5 mins at the podium and the waitress who took my order brought me my food. I get back to my room the salad was SUPPOSED to have bacon and red onion per the menu. None of that was in the salad. The piece of salmon was about a 2.5 to 3 oz portion and it still had the skin on it. The aperol spritz was good and the salad what was there was fresh and good. Yet for the price there should have been more. The service and lack of attention leave lots to be desired and I won't be visiting again while I am in town. Stopped by Primos today and I was pleasantly surprised by the food! The place inside looks really nice however we sit outside since we were in gym clothes. Our server brought us the menu right away and on the weekends they have available the Brunch menu and the Dinner menu. We were starving so decided to order from the dinner menu. Our server brought bread and it was delicious! For our entrees, we ordered the Lasagna which was really compact and the bolognese sauce was incredible. Also, we ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo and I haven't had a really good Alfredo sauce in a long time. It wasn't only cream but it had a seasoning base that added more flavor to the dish. Excellent Duck Pappadelle! The bread was wonderful and wine recommendation just right. My Husband had the Brinson Market fish with a caper butter sauce, with a side of roasted vegetables and it was really good too! Highly recommend this restaurant and the Creme Bruilee! Only gave 4 stars as we were seated at a table in the middle of the walkway and right in front of the outside door and the server never refilled our water glasses from the club soda bottle we ordered. The wood fired pizza crust is delicious I'm just sad mine was undercooked because the outside that was well done was amazing. The Parma with arugula. Yum. They could use a better wine list and the place is LOUD. But honestly it's in sort of a mall so we were all completely surprised by the quality of the food and service considering the location. The sauce was both gunky and liquid, a slight cream/brown color, the taste was off, and it honestly reminded me of the Knorr pasta mixes you buy at Publix for when you're in a pinch and need something cheap and quick. The service was top tier without being intrusive on your meal. Service was rather quick. The hostess was pleasant. The atmosphere is nice for a place that is located within a large condominium and hotel building. The other guest seemed to be enjoying their meals and companions and it was not too loud. For locals, the location is easy to find and offers valet parking that is convenient so you don't have trouble arriving and having to seek parking. Classy Italian restaurant downstairs in the Grand DoubleTree to the right as you enter the lobby area. Beautifully decorated, intimate and warm ambiance. I had a glass of Malbec wine, Caesar salad - that's easily split for two, and the Prosciutto and Arugula Pizza which was delicious! (Also enough for two.) Unless you live or stay in the grand DoubleTree parking can be difficult or pricey. But a very nice dining experience and I'll be sure to be back to try more! read more

So modest is this warm and welcoming hotel eatery, we did not anticipate the fresh, generous and delicious food that was about to be presented to us. 'Tuna tartare' is consistently better than most. The pizza's crust remained crispy, even as it cooled and the burger was perfect. Tonight's seafood marinara (sans spaghetti, at my request), was a hefty bowl of shellfish, shrimp and fish. Francesco, the G.M., is a gracious and gregarious man who deeply appreciates return customers.
