The two gentlemen who got us set up and did our nails did a phenomenal job. There are more than a handful of nail salons within a half a mile radius of Mina Nails and I chose to give this one a try since it's the newest nail salon in the area. I found out that they have the same owner as Bee's down the street. Mina Nails isn't my normal nail salon, I've been here a few times and I do feel guilty going here, almost as if I was cheating on my regular nail technicians. Mina Nails hasn't quite met the 5 stars mark for me, but I wouldn't mind returning, granted, I can't make it to my regular nail salon because of the distance. Why only 4 stars? The last time I went to get a pedicure at Mina Nails, they got busy while I was there and the employee who was giving me a pedicure rushed through my pedicure because there were other customers waiting. This is one of my biggest pet peeves because as a customer, I'm paying for good customer service and I will tip accordingly. It was my time, and the other customers were willing to wait, so I didn't appreciate being rushed to accommodate the other customers. That has happened once so far, but everything else has been good, and there are many good things Mina Nails has to offer. The space is newly renovated and clean. They have a large TV, a wall full of nail polish to choose from, and clean, new massage chairs, and brightly painted walls. What's nice is that the wait time for me hasn't been long. If my timing is good, there's no wait. If there's a wait time, it has been short since one of the perks of having a sister nail salon down the street is that they can send nail technicians over to minimize wait times. The customer service is good overall. Prices are fair and comparable to other nail salons, and they have many different pedicure options. Also, who doesn't like win-win situations? Help the business out by helping them save on credit card fees and get 5% off your services by paying with cash. read more

I was going out of my comfort zone with these nails I wanted almond shape green jade vibes and when I tell u they SLAYED my nails! He ate that shit up! I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience here deserves one. I specifically asked the male technician for a simple color change (a service listed at $30). Instead, he pretended not to understand, said "retouch?" and then passed me off mid-service to another technician (who was actually great, no issues with her). When it came time to pay, I was charged $90 for what was supposed to be a $30 service. When I questioned it, he suddenly acted clueless -- as if he didn't understand English anymore. Let's be clear: he understood me perfectly while I was asking, but when it came to accountability, he played the "language barrier" card to justify overcharging. I paid because I didn't want to cause a scene, but make no mistake: this was a scam, plain and simple. It's disappointing and unprofessional to exploit customers this way. There are plenty of nail salons that value honesty and customer service -- this is not one of them. Save your time, money, and patience. read more

Just a pro tip to customer service, if someone is just getting off work, calls in for an appointment, communicates they are tired and even got a very short simple nail design for you to do, don't let someone who is still learning, play with their time when you don't want your money played with. I support learning and doing your best, that's why I was trying so hard to be patient, but when I asked if we should just do a solid color for all the nails since it seemed to be an issue to do cheetah prints on 3 nails on each hand, you refused. Clearly at this point it's been almost 3 hrs, 8 people have came in during my time there and all have left except me, I was crying because I was extremely hungry, I work from 2:30-10:30 for the union, I been to so many nail salons and never would it take this long. Truly disappointed and hurt from lack of thoughtfulness or work ethic, sadly this isn't the first experience like this I have had with you but since it was a different person I really had my some hope. I usually only make appointments here because it's super close to where I live. Called yesterday to make an appointment for today at 10 AM and was told no problem. Walked in about 9:56 today and was told to pick my color and have a seat. Informed the lady that I would just be doing white gel to which she said I can have a seat. A few minutes go by and no one came to greet me or set up the foot bath while I was waiting. 15 minutes go by and still was not helped. There were 3 workers who were all helping other clients and who knows how long they would have made me wait as none of them looked to be even close to done with those clients. If I could I leave zero stars I would. I made an appointment at 5, but when I got there all the seats were full, they told me it'd be a three minute wait (it wasn't) When I sat down I showed the reference picture. I reiterated that I wanted SILVER snowflakes. When the nail tech started it was fine, I saw she was taking a little long but nonetheless I was patient. When it came time to do the French tip portion of the design, she struggled. She said it was because she had shaky hands. But judging by the look of it, it was crooked and uneven, not shaky hands. She ended up wiping it off and having the nail tech next to her come over and help. By this time everyone in the salon left and the open sign was off, it was just me in the salon. A different nail tech stepped in and was actively having a teaching lesson on how to do a basic French tip. Again, I was patient. I didn't really mind because at least when he took over we were actually making progress and getting closer to getting the job done. Then when he finished painting the French tips on one hand she insisted on taking over and doing the other hand. I thought okay maybe she got the hang of it. She started again and just couldn't get it down, she wiped it off and had him come back to finish. He came back and did the job for her. Now time for the snow flakes. Again I reminded her, I wanted the snow flakes SILVER. She said yes I know but I have to put white down first. I said okay and trusted the process. At this point I'm tired I just want to leave and my back was hurting because I was sitting in the chair for so long. She finished the snowflakes and they were not silver how I specified. I get that in the reference photo they could appear white but regardless I asked for SILVER snowflakes. When we were done and it was time to pay I was astounded that she was charging me $115.18. I was maybe expecting some sort of even a small discount for being so patient and staying an HOUR AND FIFTEEN minutes after closing. I was expecting 90-100 dollars tops. When I asked her why it was expensive she said the design was an extra $15. Whatever. I paid. When she turned the screen around expecting a tip and kept asking about the tip I looked at her crazy. I left no tip. I'm extremely disappointed in this salon but mostly the nail tech. Other nail techs around me were able to finish 2 people in the time it took her to finish my nails. I was pleasantly surprised with the service at Mina Nails! I went with a friend on a Sunday at around 10am (we did make reservations before hand), and there were already a few customers getting pedicures. The staff had us wash our hands then sat us next to each other, which I really appreciated because that is not always the case at other salons. We did have to wait a little while, as there were only two workers at the time, but we didn't mind and the time went by fast since we were looking at designs and colors. Coffee did my nails, and he gave me exactly what I asked for - full set acrylic, short, French ombré. The best part was that he was so quick with the application! He was focused, while taking calls as well, and he did an incredible job. You can tell that he really has had a lot of practice and skill. I also loved that he layered the acrylic on thinly, so the nails look really clean. I paid about $68 (before tip) for this set, and I am really happy with it! The environment is clean, the chairs are comfortable, the workers work hard, and there is ample parking in the front. I would recommend Mina Nails, and I will definitely be back! read more

I'm usually nervous to get certain nail shapes such as square bc other places make it look bulky and almost duck shaped but I went in for a simple short square and they did an amazing job! Looked just the way I wanted and the best part-- it's been about 3 1/2 weeks since I've gotten my mani and my nails are still in tact!
