Staff here is always so friendly and welcoming. Also very efficient! The salon is clean too, and they now offer beverages for purchase while you get your services done. I had been going to Tony and Twan for a couple of years and stopped once life took over.. but I missed seeing them! Absolutely not. Professionalism was trash. Girl charged an obscene amount of money for the most basic gel overlay with design. Think $125 for $70 job (at most). Soaked my fingers in acetone for 5mins and then tried to belittle and criticize me saying my nails "were weak" well, do you think acetone is healthy for your nails,Goofy? Whole personality was just dry . Anyway- tips for my fellow Yelpers. You can text your appointment request in. There are many, many Techs so I'm sure getting seen wouldn't be an issue if you're looking for something last minute. There's a 3% CC surcharge, so bring cash if you'd like. I decided to try somewhere new due to the high rating. First and last time for me. It is extremely disrespectful to make fun of a customer in a foreign language. I couldn't find the color I wanted in the wall, but the receptionist assured me that the nail tech can get some options for me. When I told Helen what I wanted she automatically stated talking to the tech next to her and well as the guy that was stocking the towels and kept saying the color I wanted and they started laughing and the guy rolled his eyes. I seriously thought about standing up and leaving, but decided to stay and see how it went. Services was just ok. She really didn't put much strength into what she was doing. Just felt like she rubbed the lotion on. No massage. I definitely had better service at Queen Nails and their ratings pretty much is half of Couture Nails. I guess I didn't catch Helen on a good day. The picture speaks for itself. I have been coming here for a few years and overall had great experiences but what is this ? I got nicked on 4 of my 10 fingers and 1 is obviously sooo bad. It kept bleeding even until I got home. I know this happens here and there... but 4x? The staff did use some sort of solution with tissue paper to wipe the blood off. However, when it started to bleed again she used a dirty brush that felt hard as a rock (most likely from nail polish) to wipe the blood off. Underwhelmed. I really, really wanted to like Couture Nails because I've heard so many nice things about them, but was so underwhelmed. I had a deluxe pedicure with extra for callous removal and it was ok. Nothing bad, polish was nice...but I've never, ever had a deluxe pedicure done in half an hour. That's it - half hour. Other ladies were there before me and I'm sure they had fancier service like gel pedicure, but half an hour? Price was good and I tipped her because tech was nice...but half an hour? I took longer to get ready! Even my friend whom I was texting said, "You're done?! Already?!?" LOL. I will continue my quest to find the best pedicure on the island of O'ahu. I took my 6-year-old daughter here and left disappointed with our experience. We were charged the adult price because Emma (Thao) said my daughter was tall. For reference, she is only 6 years old, under 4 feet tall, and wears a children's size 10 (18.3 cm). What made this more frustrating was that even another employee mentioned in Vietnamese that my daughter should be charged as a child since it was obvious she was young. However, Emma responded in Vietnamese, "How am I going to make money?" I also found it inappropriate and unprofessional to speak negatively about customers in front of them, regardless of the language being spoken. Called when they opened Sunday morning for a fill. They got me in same day at 11. I only waited about 15 mins. The shop is two story, a lot bigger than I expected! The parking lot is packed and hard to navigate. So be prepared for that. Price of nails is on par for Hawaii premium. $50 for fill and $30 to change design. Got a mani/pedi today for the first time in years, even brought my boyfriend along for his first mani/pedi ever! Everything was clean; individually autoclaved tools, gloves, disposable liners for the tub, etc. Nancy was very kind even when I couldn't decide what nail shape I wanted for my hands. Tony(?) talked story with me while doing my pedi and helped ease my anxiety. My friend and I have been looking at nail places for our daughters' joint birthday coming up in Summer. We heard great things about this place and this was their FIRST EVER experience in a salon! We were so excited at the thought of bringing 13-15 girls and their moms to get their nails done - the full service and everything. When we arrived this morning, our reservation was under another name and number. We know it was ours because how common is "3 Kids Manicures". They were clearly annoyed. I was told that my daughter could pick any amount of colors, but at the the time of the service, the technician said it'd be an extra charge. Cool - we pivoted, no big deal. The technicians did not talk to our girls or interact. The owner was only friendly to the regulars, which is great! Awesome for their experience. We just didn't have a great time and it's too bad because our close friends own a party business and they're always looking for great places for kids, as well as adults. *We would like to highlight the male technician with the bucket hat - he was awesome and playful! Thank you so much for your kindness and patience.* Without going into detail, I will also say that the staff should be really careful when speaking about customers, even in their native language. With the technology we have for Google Translate/Google Transcribe, it is very easy for customers to see/hear what's being said in real time. After reading the replies on their Yelp, I can tell accountability is hard for them and that's fine. We wish them nothing but success! It just wasn't a great experience for us. My future sis in law had gone in to get her wedding nails done the day before and told my brother who suggested this place to me-- The next day, I walked in to Couture at 3:30ish pm on a Monday and was grateful to be seen soon after a very very short wait. I was placed with Vicki to work her gel x manicure magic on me and she is amazing! Like I said, my nails were just very sad. She brought them back to life. It was my first time getting gel x done and it is much lighter than acrylic (and honestly they look awesome). I entrusted her to do a design, and Vicki artfully did a simple but classy swirl/wave-like design on my ring fingers. Her precision in my French tip manicure in general was just on point. I would definitely return to Vicki, hands down. Michelle worked on my regular deluxe pedicure + callus removal ($48) and she was sweet. Also puts enough pressure in the massage. Took my mom here for Mother's Day as a gift and it was a nice experience. I called 3 days in advance to schedule her for a manicure/ pedicure around 1200 on Mother's Day, Sunday afternoon. First of all, parking is tight and when we arrived, I had to wait a bit before a stall opened up. There were no stalls but I'm glad we came 15mins prior to the appointment just in case this would happen. I got lucky and was able to secure a spot within 10mins. Walking into the salon, I noticed this place was very packed. Every nail tech was taken/busy. I checked in with the front desk and mom requested acrylics for her fingernails last minute. They were very accommodating and I was grateful because I knew it would be hard to get everything she wanted on such a busy day. We were directed over to the table with the price menu hanging above and a ton of nail polish colors to choose from. Mom went with a bright red gel for her toes and a light nude pink for her nails. She was very happy with the services when she was finally seen. I was able to sit in the empty chair next to her while the tech worked on her acrylics. They finished off with her services while she sat in the massage chair with her feet in the soak tub. She literally had both her hands and feet being done at the same time! While I waited, I took a look at the rest of their menus and prices. I was interested in the eyelash services for a later time so I took photos for Yelp since I didn't find any recent price photos posted. I also found their Instagram page and saw their beautiful work on past clients. They also had a restroom for their guests to use so that was a relief because I really had to go lol. The salon overall was beautifully decorated and the lighting was bright. It's air-conditioned so it was comfortable and they have benches for waiting guests and a free water dispenser if you're thirsty. They also had small shelves full of Sanrio items and other cute things for sale. They take payment in cash and card. Tips are taken only in cash or through Venmo. P.S. If you were wondering if couples come in together (husband/wife, bf/gf, etc.), there were at least 3 couples in the room getting work done. So don't hesitate to bring your other half on a date here! Went for a mani pedi. French tip pedi done by Tiffany was done perfectly. On the other hand, my mani wasn't met to my expectations despite how much I spoke up about little things I wanted to touch up to the other worker. It felt like she was rushing. From afar it's cute, but close up the lines were really crooked, the gold chrome wasn't fully covered, & the gems started to tarnish the same week. Doesn't seem like a big deal, but paid $130 not including tip for the nails alone and it barely looked like the inspo pic. This is my friends go to holy grail EVERYTHING and I was in desperate need of a pedicure so she brought me here. I honestly had no idea where this place was or that there was even a back road with a plaza inside and I've lived in up the street for how long! Anyways, we got a same day appointment and once we got in, we chose our colors and sat in the chair (a massage chair to say the least!!) I chose the deluxe pedicure with gel and they started right away. Super relaxing, if I wasn't with my friend I probably would've fell asleep. He took his time doing a full set for me, and I asked for a skinny almond shape he nailed it! His work is super precise, professional, and he clearly cares about the details. My nails looked flawless! The salon itself is spacious, clean, and beautifully set up. It's actually two stories pedis downstairs and manis upstairs. The vibe is relaxing and organized. Prices are reasonable, and one cool bonus: they keep a profile of you in their system, so you can easily come back to the same tech or remember what polish you used last time. Super convenient!
