I was super nervous about taking headshot pictures for residency applications, but Keegan Lawless did calm me down. He made feel super comfortable and made sure I knew he could take great pictures and catered to me in a lot of ways. He let me change outfits and jewelry and fix my make up as much as I wanted, he made sure to understand what I wanted from these pictures and assured me he could edit them to my desires also. He said he was a photoshop wizard and it took a week to get the preliminary untouched versions (which were great). And then he did everything he possibly could to make sure he knew what I wanted and execute it, he redid my Photoshopping at no extra charge because I was disappointed in the first set, which was possibly due to poor communication on my part. He was so nice, understanding and congenial from beginning to end. I would highly recommend him for his photography skills and professionalism, he will do his best to make sure you are satisfied.

We wanted a photojournalistic style and a few posed family/wedding party pictures using color and black & white shots. We also wanted a photographer who used different lenses and lighting really well because of our outdoor setting. Brian did just this and more. He posed us in front of the bonfire at night, sat us under trees lit with party lights, and used fish-eye/wide angle lenses to gain a different perspective of the whole party. He used all the details the farm had to offer: the porch, the farmhouse, the silo, the lean-to, the wildflowers, the gardens, the bonfire, the lawn, wedding decor, etc. Also, he and his assistant managed to capture some of the sweetest moments that by looking at the candid shot, you can immediately feel the emotion of the moment. Before the photo shoot, they reach out to learn a little more about you and your family. At first I thought this was silly, but then I realized that the studio wants to make sure you get the photos that you want that show your family how you see them. David did an amazing job during the photo shoot! We showed up with my grumpy 12 year old rat terrier mix, two year old crazy wild terrier mix just picked up from the shelter earlier in the month, a teenage boy, and my husband. David showed amazing patience and grace throughout our time in the studio. Somehow he even managed to get a real smile from my step-son while he was holding the dogs! I won a photo session with David eight years ago at an animal rescue fundraiser. He still had the proofs, and I was able to order prints of my kitty Bailey who is no longer with us.
