    Mocktail

I came here for a sushi night. The staff were so nice! I wasn't drinking alcohol but I got this amazing cranberry orange mocktail. My friend who was drinking said the wine was great especially if you like sweet wines. The barn itself was very cozy and they had live music.

Exploring New England and found this winery by doing a search on vineyards along our route. If we came the following day, we would have done wine tasting. They were only serving wine flights of 4 for $20 (due to covid-19). Upon arrival, we were greeted by John, the owner, who was friendly and welcoming. It was a rainy and cold day and there was nothing to keep you warm as they had the windows and doors open. As for the wines, they have dry, semi-sweet, and sweet. I'm not a big wine drinker and stick to what's sweet. My friend had 8 flights and chose more dry ones. The sweet ones weren't too sweet but a satisfactory amount of sweetness. The dry ones I was able to try were more tarty than bitter. My favorites were Prescott Pear and Yankee Girl Blush. The 'Chocolate Raspberry' was interesting since it's not actually a chocolate wine/liqueur. Makes me wonder how they make their wines. They sell a cheese and meat plate ($8) and have a food truck available. Tables are available inside and outside.

I stumbled across the Hardwick Winery annual maple event and thought it'd be fun. It was a fun event though there was some room for small improvements. Staff was very friendly but the event was extremely understaffed, especially considering that this was a multiple seating event and there was a private party downstairs. So wait time for tables to be cleared or to simply check in for breakfast or ask a question was 15 minutes. The breakfast was buffet style and everything was tasty and fresh. It was nice to see fruit offered but unfortunately it was a canned fruit cocktail. Changing small details in the future could have made a big difference. A wine tasting included 5 wines and is $8, allowing you to keep the souvenir logo stem. We enjoyed the tasting and our server was quite friendly. I purchased a bottle of pear wine and my friend a bottle of blueberry. A one man band filed in to start playing at 2pm and he was very good. The farm is beautiful and peaceful and makes you feel like staying and relaxing. I'll definitely be back to visit again.

Yummy fruity wines & wine slushies!

Love this place - if you want a fun environment to hang out with friends and taste your way through many different wines (including WINE SLUSHIES, yup!), this is your place! A word of warning - these wines are pretty much all on the sweet / fruity side, so if that's not your jam, this may not be your spot. This isn't really the place you come to for fancy, snooty wines... it's where you come to enjoy a leisurely day with friends and see how many different sangrias, fruit infusions, and wine slushies you can sample your way through (yesssss, I'll say it again - WINE SLUSHIES!!!). We came on a fall afternoon, and the place was pretty packed - but we were able to find a big table with ease. The flights were what most of us went with - there is really just so much to sample that the flights were the best bet. They offer little snack plates as well, which were nothing crazy, but did the trick. Oh, and not sure if this is the norm, but they gave us free bottled water! The only two 'meh' things that we didn't really enjoy were the asparagus wine (fun concept, but some things are not meant to be in wine, I suppose...) and the hard cider (very watery and no real flavor). Stick to the wines (again, as long as you like sweet & fruity) and you'll be all set. Looking forward to returning here again in post-covid times!

A day of canoeing at the Quabbin, turned into wine sampling instead. How unfortunate:D Nice little place. Delicious wines! Had a great sangria overlooking the field. They also have a few cute goats. This was my first wine tasting and it set the bar high:)

"Walk in as strangers, leave as friends."…read more If that's not a saying that makes you want to head there now, then I don't know what is LOL! Obviously, there is more to the new renovated location of La Cantina than this saying but I will say I was pretty impressed when I saw it and knew I had to add it to my review. Let's just say it is pretty accurate. We did leave as friends since we made a few at the bar and then some. Just saying! La Cantina winery in Franklin, MA used to be a small wine bar that offered wine tasting flights and minimal food. BUT, now it is in a stunning new location (not far from their old stomping grounds). Fun Fact: It used to be a Mechanic garage. Well, wait until you see how it has turned from fixing cars to wine making and tasting. YOU HAVE GOT TO COME HERE! Parking is easy with plenty of spots. They have a lot of room at their gorgeous bar, but they also have high tops and tables for families or a large group. And, they host events here too; birthday parties, bridal showers, and anything in between, this place is it. I actually want to hold one of my milestone birthday parties here but well keep the number a secret for now. Service: Alana was our bartender and she was wonderful. Always asking us what we needed and how were doing. You don't get this upscale service any where else. And, when I wanted another sample of something she gave it to me without a fuss. Always with a smile on her face, she was the best. Wine: They have an excellent wine menu to choose from and they offer flights for about $25 pp. Flights are the best way to try multiple wines. I personally loved most of the red wines with Petit Sirah being my favorite. My husband loved their Barbera! I did sample their Sauv Blanc too which was nice but it was too cold to have a full pour. Food: Their menu is great with a ton of options from charcuterie, to tapas and some entrees. I will say some of their items can get expensive but definitely worth it. We started with a few cheeses and prosciutto. Then we ordered one of their popular pizzas called La Cantina. Everything was fresh, made in house with their beautiful pizza oven right smack in the middle of the bar. You have got to see this thing, its huge! Overall: If I could give this place 10 stars I would. We had the best time and we can't wait to go back. Franklin is not far from where we live but still a good 30 minute drive and also not far from the Wrentham outlets. We didn't have to make a reservation for a Sunday afternoon but I bet Saturdays can get pretty busy. I just loved everything about this wine bar and I know you will too! Cheers~

They have tables to sit and drink wine or have lunch, and a flock of very cute fluffy chickens that scatter around. Some families were there and they had ordered a pizza to be delivered there and were drinking a few bottles of wine. We opted to try the 7 wines for $12.00 tasting. The woman doing the tasting was very detailed about the wines and we really enjoyed listening and asking questions. We enjoyed all the white wines with the Cayuga White being our favorite, so we got a bottle of that to take home. I also enjoyed the reds and the rose. The owner was very friendly and loved chatting when we asked about the huge unusual tree - it is his pride and joy - a chestnut tree! We would definitely come back. I do wish they gave more than a very small pour. In some of the wines, we couldn't really get the flavors as there was just not enough wine in the glass to taste fully.
