I wanted Chinese on a Sunday because I was too lazy to cook. Sadly Fu Leen's Palace is closed on Sunday. So, I tried the next option with the most reviews. I'll start by saying that I'm from NYC, so I'm picky when it comes to Chinese food. The general tso's wasn't too bad. The fried rice didn't have much flavor. But I specifically asked for the fried wontons NOT to be fried too hard and well, they fried them too darn hard. They were very small too and they were skimpy with the sweet and sour sauce as well. The driver came to my house and was a little disoriented and not what I expected for a delivery driver. I was confused at first. I had to keep asking why he was at my door via the camera because the food wasn't visible. He didn't know my total and told me he had to go back to his car for it and didn't want to. I am not one to leave a review, but I feel a strong duty to WARN PEOPLE, BUYER BEWARE!!! First, I ordered my favorite, it's a litmus test for any Chinese Restaurant that I try, Hot & Sour Soup. It was neither hot or sour, it should have pork instead there was chicken, and it was loaded with zucchini which doesn't belong either. This was the worst imitation of Hot & Sour Soup I have ever had in my entire life! Second, Fried Rice, it was literally white rice they threw in a pan and added soy sauce and nothing more, no onions, veggies, or egg. Like what the Hell? Third, Fried Wonton, the second I bit into it the first thing that came to mind was that I was eating DOG! Need I say more, the funk was loud!!! Fourth, Egg Rolls, so greasy I believe they were recycled and refried atleast 3 times. If this was the last Chinese Restaurant in town you'd still be better off going to the frozen food section at Walmart and buying it there!!! read more

We got the lunch special and it was affordable for two adults. Good amount of food per container. You can order online, over the phone or in person. I ordered takeout online and I had the option to pay online or in person. In person, my order was ready in less than 10 minutes and the staff was extremely nice. This used to be my goto for Chinese. They now charge extra for pork fried rice - this is newer. They tend to over sauce dishes, like sesame, chicken, orange chicken, and general tso. im super sick and my boyfriend is underway so he ordered me some chicken soup. chicken makes me sick so he asked if they could put as little in as possible in the note. they wrote on the bag saying they appreciated his note and said "this magic will help" and they were so correct. this is the best noodle soup ive ever ordered from anywhere. to whoever signed the note, I love you with my whole heart. What's wrong with the owners of this establishment? They still have "Eat out or Dine in" clearly marked on the window, yet you walk up to the entrance and it states "Please order online and pickup, no dine in" ok fine, but remove the "Dine In" sign on the window, if they're not professional enough to do that, l dont trust them to to cook my take out meal. read more

RAW CHICKEN! We ordered delivery 1/4/2016. The 45 minute wait turned into 1 hour & 10 minutes. The Beef Rice Noodle dish had no flavor & very few pieces of beef. The only vegetables in the dish were onions & a few carrot strips. The Chicken Rice Noodle also had no flavor, w/ the same amount of vegetables as the beef dish. There did seem to be a few more pieces of chicken though. The Wonton Soup had no flavor. The Pu Pu Platter for 2 was horrible. The 2 chicken wings were raw at the joints. All of the other fried items were over cooked & could not be eaten. The shrimp were almost burned. The only item that was enjoyable was the Hot Sour Soup, although they overload it w/ Tofu & it is missing many vegetables that other restaurants include. This was a horrible meal that less than 1/2 could be eaten. A wasted $31.80. We will never order from them again. read more

We get two nice size containers of general Tso chicken with broccoli and two nice size shrimp fried rice containers under this deal. With all the army training I've been going through here at FT Eustis I've managed to miss several dinners leaving myself no other options but to order out. One of the few flyers that hung up in our barracks was for "Ming Garden Chinese Restaurant." Min order = $10 for delivery with NO delivery charge. Pretty reasonable in my book. I was pretty hungry at the time of order so I quickly went with something I knew on the menu - Sweet and sour chicken (this has been a favorite since I was a kid). The lady that answered the phone had a oriental accent but I was pleased to find out that I could easily understand her (no pun intended but you'd be surprised how many Chinese restaurants you deal with people not being able to speak English). The food arrived within 30 minutes; maybe even sooner. So everything was good up until the actual food. Now, I can only vouch for the sweet and sour chicken but as far as that goes it wasn't anything amazing. I'm use to a restaurant back home called "Tao San Jin" that serves there sweet and sour already mixed in with their food and quick differently because what I had from Ming Garden wasn't anything close to that. The sweet and sour was in a separate dish and the chicken looked like it was originally frozen and warmed up in a microwave. Very disappointing. If you're looking for something quick, cheap, and bland (as far as the sweet and sour goes) then go ahead and order from here. read more

At Ft Eustis for a few weeks of training and thought I would give Ming Garden a try. I did not even get past the phone call. The female who answered was short and rude from the very start. I got all the way to the part where I pay and finely got fed up and told the woman to cancel my order. A few minutes later I received a call from them. Thinking I was going to get an apology I answered. On the other end was a different woman asking if I still wanted my order. Very rude, We went in and another couple was ordering in front of us with a lady. A guy then came to the window and swatted the people away rudely (hand gesture). When me and my sister walked up to order he was rude telling us to call because he couldn't hear but was talking to us just fine. The phone in the restaurant was broken and noone could get through which is why people were coming in. I tried to explain this and so did the couple that had just ordered but he continued to be rude, so we left. I definitely do not recommend this establishment to anyone. Food is mediocre. We ordered the family meal and got crab Rangoon (really good), beef fried rice (dry), beef lo mein (horrible) and General tso's chicken (tasted very old, don't recommend). The food was not good, Fried rice was not good at all. The Sweet & Sour Combination had no shrimp and tasted like it was burnt. The fried dumplings' mystery meat filling" was horrible. The Girl on the phone (on both phone calls) was very rude, the sound in the background was so loud I had to repeat my order several times as well as my method of payment. It was quoted at 45 minutes for delivery and it arrived while I was talking to the rude individual a second time at 1 hour and 45 minutes. Worst Chinese delivery I think I have ever had. The orange chicken with fried rice had soggy fried chicken with limited flavor to say the least. The friend rice was a interesting dish but the egg roll was pretty good as a highlight along with the reasonable price. I have been ordering Ming Garden since stumbling upon it earlier this year. The food is very good. Better than any other Chinese restaurant I've been to in the area. Ming Garden is consistently amazing when it comes to General tsaos chicken. I have had a ton of Chinese places around here & they're always on point. I generally go around 3-5pm area so it's a dinner rush but it only still takes about 10-15 minutes. My fiancé gets the pork fried rice with no vegetables & he is addicted to it. Owners are extremely efficient & so nice. They remember you after only one or two trips of being there. I don't get delivery from them because of only one issue & that's good isn't as fresh as picking it up myself. read more

I ordered in from Ming garden a few times. I always get the same thing; Singapore Mei fun, and it is excellent. Rice noodles full of meat and seafood, and seasoned just right. Again, the Mei fun was a hit tonight. I also ordered fried dumplings, which are usually very tasty as well. Tonight the dumplings were a little soggy, but not to the point that they weren't good. The sauce they come with is the best I e had from a takeout place. I would definitely recommend Ming garden. read more
