Appointment recommended! I popped in on an early Saturday afternoon and yes, there are only two technicians, currently busy with clients and appointments booked through 5pm, but they were able to fit me in and I was in a chair within 10min. I had pleasant conversations with the technicians and another client. They were able to give me restaurant and winery recommendations which were all good places! My nails looked good, the got down and dirty with the pedi. It's been a week and the polish is still holding strong. I get it, they advertise "walk-ins welcome", but the reality is they have a dedicated clientele and need another technician to really accommodate walk-ins. There are plenty of polish colors to choose from in gel and regular. The establishment and restroom is quite clean. The message chair was nice, it worked!! My favorite part; they use the plastic liners for the foot spa bowls. Yes! I know it's wasteful, but I never have to worry about catching athlete's foot here! Full disclosure: I read the reviews on this place and a few of y'all sistas felt discriminated against or unhappy with your services. No lie, I went here because the good reviews were good and I wanted to test the level of discrimination that I might receive. But, all went well! A+. Superb job on my nails! I am a active musician that plays about 3 - 6 shows a week. I used to never get my nails done because the polish would get ruined from playing guitar and other various instruments. But ever since I got my nails done at Mingee I don't worry about that anymore. I got the gels done and it's been a couple weeks and my nails still look great. No chips at all. I am shocked! It's a smaller Salon but everyone in the Salon seemed to know each other. I felt welcomed and part of the family. The gentleman who did my pedicure did s great job and the young lady also did a wonderful French manicure. They engaged in conversation and made sure I was happy with my mani/pedi. I've been trying a bunch of miscellaneous nail salons in Paso since moving here. This place is definitely the best I have been to! Not in the cutest of areas but easy to get to and easy parking. They were super friendly and attentive and did such a great job on my gel manicure. They put on a base coat, three layers of the gel polish followed up by two layers of topcoat!
