The potato cakes were ok but the avocado served on top was not all the way ripe and therefore a little hard and not very flavorful. My Greek beleni was ok too It was spongy in texture which is to be expected. It didn't have a ton of filling. Everything here was just a little bland. Well cooked and priced appropriately.

Holy. Shit. I rarely…read morecurse but finding this gluten free goldmine of glorious pancakes was like a blessing of the saints. The portion sizes kind of seem small but that could be because my girlfriend and I split everything and it was basically a couple of bites from each other's dishes. We got the blueberry lemon pancakes, and a meat dish for the needed protein, so one savory and one sweet, the way breakfast is meant to be worshipped and devoured simultaneously. Beautiful, small place that gets packed very quickly. Interestingly enough I thought it was a French bistro, but I believe the owners hail from Ukraine as that is the country flag that was hung outside the shape if my world history learnings are correct. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and would come back in a New York minute if I get the chance to visit Dublin again. As always people SYOY!!!

Dublin doesn't have a huge variety of ice cream/gelato options so Amorino is a great addition. They tell you you can get as many flavors as you want, which is a dangerous game for me. They have a lot of cup sizes to choose from. I kept it pretty tame and went with a medium size cup of straciatella, chocolate, and blueberry cheesecake. I loved all of these flavors. The chocolate was super rich and the real cream cheese in the blueberry cheesecake shined through. I wished there was more chocolate flakes in the straciatella - it was basically just a fresh and creamy vanilla. My husband got a daisy cone. They craft the ice cream into a flower. It's a cute gimmick, but I feel like you get more bang for your buck when you go for a cup. Plus, I'm not crazy about cones. Prices are pretty high, but with no better alternatives at the moment, we'll continue to come here for a special treat.

Not a lot of sitting space, but since it's in a shopping centre and very close to a number of public hangouts and tourist attractions, not a lot of sitting space is needed. There's no way to mince words here: they are overpriced. Granted, I am Canadian so it could be that I wasn't used to European prices, but I'm pretty sure it has more to do with the fact that they know many people passing through the doors are tourists who are willing to pay more than locals (or don't know better). For example, adding a standard-sized macaron to your ice cream cost 2 Euro; at my local Farmer's Market, where things tend to be pricey, a single macaron of the same size is 2 Canadian dollars. It's a discrepancy of about a dollar or half a Euro. That said, their gelato, sorbet, and macarons are all amazing. Both times I visited I got a medium-sized cone; admittedly, I loved the chocolate gelato/raspberry sorbet option so much that I got it twice, both times with a chocolate macaron. Beautiful presentation, as the "petals" are arranged into a flower and the macaron is placed firmly on top. Perfect on an unexpectedly hot day. tl;dr expensive but great atmosphere and food.

I work, am a single Mum, run my home, have a social life, and sometimes I'm simply not arsed cooking - but refuse to feed El Monkey complete crap. This place is fantastic for getting a bite and not breaking the bank. There is a small subway as well as salad bar and hot and cold food counters where El Monkey (Irelands fussiest eater) can get a very decent sized portion chicken korma with rice for €5 and I can grab a subway or salad and fresh baked bread for a similar price. And on those days my disinclination to cook is due to the world refusing to yield to my will, there is an excellent wine selection with regular offers. Cheap wine it the tastiest! It is also a very decent food store with all the essentials and some tasty treats too.

Staff aren't great, not very friendly and difficult to get their attention over their loud informal chatting (especially at the deli, although I've decided not to use the deli anymore because I don't trust their hygiene for items that aren't packaged). Insomnia coffee machines are always manky. I've bought ice cream from here a few times and it's always been full of ice shards, ie: it has melted and been refrozen, this is Ben & Jerrys so pricey enough for yucky ice cream. Yesterday I was picking up bread when I noticed a loaf of brown bread that was completely moldy and out of date by 8 days sitting pride of place at the front of the shelf, gross!! I really wish they'd pick up the slack because it's the closest shop to me but I hate going there. Other Londis shops I've been to, Donnybrook Fair and Gillens in Phoenix Park Racecofor e.g., are of a really high standard, surely franchise holders have a responsibility to be as good as the best franchises or Londis at least have standards they must meet, KCR definitely doesn't meet any decent standard.

Considerate, friendly, active staff! My partner went to the lavatory, and when the food came out, they offered to put it back under heat to wait for her! Extra miles!!! The decor was a confusing blend of mismatched furniture and questionable artwork that looked like it was picked up at a garage sale. The service was painfully slow. Our waiter seemed more interested in his phone than taking our order, and when he finally did, he got it all wrong. I asked for a vegan dish, and instead received something that looked like it had been dredged from the depths of a deep fryer. When I pointed this out, he shrugged and said, "Well, it's all plant-based, isn't it?" Thanks for the clarification, but I don't think deep-fried plants are what I had in mind. The food itself was a disaster. The so-called "signature dish" tasted like it had been frozen and reheated a dozen times. The flavors were bland and uninspired, and I'm pretty sure the rice was older than my last birthday. Even the drinks were disappointing; my lemonade was more like lemon-flavored water with a hint of sadness. To top it all off, the prices were absurd for the quality of food served. I left feeling not only unsatisfied but also slightly nauseous. Lemon Grass may have a catchy name, but trust me, there's nothing zesty about this place. Save your money and your taste buds--there's a reason this restaurant was nearly empty during prime dinner hours. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.
