She listens to her clients and works with them in a very collaborative way. Crissy sets high standards for herself and her entire staff, and it shows! As for the salon itself, it has an airy, sophisticated feel and is IMMACULATELY clean. As for the other stylists, they are quality professionals. As I said, I have gone to Crissy -- and only Crissy -- for years. However, that has allowed me to see the work the other stylists are doing. From an observational standpoint, they all are friendly, upbeat, and professional -- and create great product! My daughter is 13, and for the last couple of years, she has had her "color stripes" [She likes a few fun color -- blue, pink, purple -- hightlights.] put in a couple of times a year. Layla has been doing her hair. Layla is amazing!! She is so patient and kind and friendly and relatable! She takes her time to make sure my daughter loves her hair. She makes it special. For my daughter, a trip to the salon is an experience, not just a haircut. Layla sees to it that it is a wonderful experience.

I also had a pedi with Joan today and I can't say enough about her. She does exceptional pedis and I saw a lovely mani while she worked on it. I have gotten my hair done by Holly (the owner) in the past, and she usually does a pretty good job. The one downside is that you have to tell her exactly what you want - if you don't know, she won't usually offer suggestions or whatnot, she'll just show you the colors/cut options and have you pick. Sometimes I like it when my stylist has knowledge of how some colors/cuts will look on different hair types, and can recommend what will look good. However, she does a great job and it's very reasonably priced (usually around 80 for color, cut and brow wax). EDIT 1/18/08: Last time I tried to go here, I was told that Holly (the owner) had sold the business. So, there is a new stylist who took over ...I have no idea if she's good or not, but she was very nice when she answered the phone. :)
