I purchased my used Model S here. Working with Collin was great. He was friendly, responsive, and had everything ready very quickly. Unfortunately, the dealership's preparation of the vehicle was a completely different story. The detailers did an awful job. Attached is a photo of what the hood looked like the first time I saw it in direct sunlight. The entire car is covered in polishing marks and swirl marks from a terrible buffing job. They actually burned through the car clear coat so my car will need to be professionally repainted. The interior was also absolutely drenched with carpet cleaning products or odor eliminators that left the car smelling like burnt rubber and chemicals for days after purchase. After I drove the vehicle home, I called the dealership about the paint issues and was told someone would get back to me. I never received a call. If you decide to buy a car here, be prepared to spend thousands fixing the paint and cleaning up the mess they made

Do you want to buy a car but hesitate because the whole "car buying" experience makes you want to take a shower? Then this information is for you. Drop what you are doing and give Collin at Mini of Monrovia a call or send him a text. You won't go wrong. He is straight forward and professional. He knows what he is doing. He has been at this business for 10 years. If you have shopped for cars recently you have undoubtedly noticed that, although nice enough people, a lot of the car salesman are inexperienced and have not been trained well. It makes a difference when you get one who knows the job. Collin is that guy. Just when you are exhausted from the test drive and landing on an agreed price, and you are at your most exhausted state, they drag you into finance. Well, Mini of Monrovia has that covered, too. Branden, the finance man, is a gem. He looks the part of a money guy with a dapper suit and neat hair. He will take care of you quickly with just the right amount of friendly banter. It was a pleasure to work with him. Mini is a premium brand and it lands in a pretty solid price range when you consider you are getting German engineering. None of the small cars and SUVS in this price range will give you the kind of interior quality, fun handling, Stop reading this and give Mini of Monrovia a call....and ask for Collin, then insist on working with Brenden in finance. Not to scare you, but if you don't call them, you might wind up in a Ford Fiesta driving slow in the fast lane with a faint trail of smoke trailing behind you. And you don't want that, do you?

Collin was very helpful in getting a new Mini Cooper S cabriolet this past month. He is very passionate about Mini and knows everything about the brand. This location for the dealer has a strong selection of colors and options and has a bit of flexibility on prices since it's a bit farther from LA. Ask for Collin if you want a fun car that saves gas compared to many other options in the marketplace.

Just bought a car here today. Collin was our sales rep and he was amazing. Did everything exactly as promised. Brandon was the finance guy and he was fast, efficient and honest (I never thought I would say that about a finance guy). I would highly recommend this dealership.

Collin is the one to look for . Very helpful easy going giving the best price that my friends go home with her lovely beast car . Collin taking care of us with his professional.

My very first car purchase was completed perfectly with Collin's help! I bought a 2023 Mini Cooper 2-Door CPO. At first, I thought the service at the dealership for a CPO car might not be very attentive. However, from email communication to our in-person meeting, the test drive, and the entire purchase process, Collin was consistently prompt, courteous, and proactive in his responses and handling of everything. Moreover, the small issues I mentioned during the test drive were already taken care of when I picked up the car. I was really touched! Thank you for giving me such a pleasant experience buying my very first car (and of course, my MINI is perfect too!). P.S. I really appreciate that he took photos for us and captured the moment of our very first car.

The Best Car Buying Experience! Ask for Collin Cocores! When my 18-year-old Mini Cooper finally took its last breath, Sandro Parra at Avus Autosport recommended that I call his friend Collin Cocores at MINI of Monrovia. I live much closer to downtown LA, so this wasn't the most convenient drive, but I am so glad I made the trip. I'll be honest, my first Mini buying experience years ago at Nick Alexander MINI was stressful and took almost eight hours. This time was the complete opposite. From the very first phone call, Collin was approachable, kind, and genuinely enthusiastic about all things MINI. He took the time to listen to what I wanted, explained my options clearly, and made me feel confident I'd be taken care of. When I arrived at the dealership, everything went exactly as he promised. My friend and I got there around 10:30 a.m., and by 2 p.m., we were done. I was driving away in a beautiful new MINI -- even better than I expected for the price. The entire process, including the test drive and paperwork, was smooth and stress-free. Branden Razzouk over at BMW finance was also wonderful -- friendly, funny, and just a joy to work with. Both Collin and Branden made what is usually a tedious, high-pressure process feel easy and genuinely enjoyable. I've never said that about buying a car before! Collin was professional, informative, and had a great sense of humor throughout the process. He even surprised me with a MINI stuffed animal - Spike the BullDog and took photos of me with my new car and the big ribbon on top -- such a thoughtful touch. When I bought my first MINI years ago DTLA, I barely got a smile from the sales team. This experience couldn't have been more different. If you're thinking about buying a MINI, go see Collin Cocores at MINI of Monrovia. He's the real deal -- honest, passionate, and a true MINI enthusiast who makes sure you leave happy.

If you need or want a new car get a MINI. If you gonna get a MINI go here to MINI of Monrovia. If you going to MINI of Monrovia see Colin. He helped me get into a new Cooper Convertible JCW for my wife and daughter to use. Super selection and personalized service. Almost 100% ready to go when I got to the dealership only sign and drive, the details and deal all done by text before hand. This is my 12th MINI!!! You read that right... #12. See of the pictures but the newest one I got is the Grey Convertible JCW. Get a MINI, don't have FOMO.... YOLO. Again... ask for Colin.

Do not buy the…read morered Mazda Protege5 that is for sale (or rather any car that is for sale here) To my credibility, this is not the first Mazda Protoge5 that I have owned, I have done top to bottom maintenance on this kind of car and am not naive nor a novice to this vehicle. That being said, I will detail the pre-test drive issues I found with the car. For starters the glove box handle was broken. Just straight up missing. When I asked how do I open the glove box, "Ivan," said "here let me open it for you." He then proceeded to finger the broken glove box, prying at it to open, where he never got it open, and then just moved on. The roof rack trim is cracked, and on this kind of car this can result in water leaking into the cabin and causing mold to build up. Before the test drive I turned on the ac to test its functionality. The belt that drives the ac let out a loud squealing. I asked him "So whats up with that" and he remarked "its just because you just turned on the ac, it will go away." During my test drive I noticed that the seat belt light does not shut off despite all passengers wearing their seatbelts, I don't even begin to know why. Another problem I noticed is that the shifter linkage needs rebuilding, the shifter is "floppy" and does not return to neutral, you can literally throw it side to side and it will stay there. The two major problems with this car are ones that I consider dangers to the client. The clutch is almost gone in this car. The clutch is "all the way to the floor" meaning the diaphragm spring in said clutch is wearing out. I asked him when the clutch was replaced, he responded that he did not know, this means it is probably still the original 150k mile clutch. The most dangerous of them all is the brakes. I notice that when braking, all of the linkage and body of the car shakes, this means the rotors are warped or severely worn down. This is an EXTREME safety hazard. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR. When I asked him when the brakes were last replaced he claimed that his shop had replaced them. I asked "the pads and rotors, or just the pads" he said "both." Intentionally lying and risking the safety of the client. What bothered me extremely is that when I asked to test drive the vehicle "Ivan" said "look man, I am busy, the price of 5000 is firm if you aren't going to pay full price don't even bother wasting my time" (The audacity of this dude I swear). I drove an hour to purchase the vehicle, and after being extremely mislead, this "Ivan" was not even willing to negotiate. Overall, in my experience with this "Ivan" and the Active Auto Group was not only disrespectful, but downright criminal. Do not even consider buying a car from here. As similar to the other individuals leaving reviews, I was blocked shortly after leaving his lot. This is in an attempt to prevent negative reviews on his Marketplace account that would hurt his pr. I know this "Ivan" will probably respond with some cookie cutter pr rebuttal trying to devalue or dismiss my review. That is because he only cares about making a quick buck at the expense of the safety of his client. Do not be mislead, do not buy a car, do not waste your time, do not risk your life. Also suspicious that on Yelp the name of this location is "Forza" instead of the actual name of "Active Auto Group."

My salesman Albert was friendly, professional, and never made me feel rushed. He even took the time to drive me to my bank so I could pick up a cashier's check to pay for it in full, which I really appreciated. Once I returned, the finance department had everything ready, and the paperwork was completed efficiently. From the start of my appointment to driving off the lot was just under two hours, making the buying process much smoother than I expected. The reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the pricing structure. The advertised price was very competitive, but the vehicle also included a protection package that I was told was mandatory. But even with that package, the final price was still lower than comparable 2023 Konas I found through Carvana and Carfax with similar mileage/accessories (sunroof, upgraded display, etc.), so I do feel that I received a very fair deal. I simply would have appreciated greater transparency about the final price from the beginning. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and with the customer service I received from Albert and the finance team. If the pricing had been presented a little more transparently upfront, this would have easily been a five-star experience. If I'm ever again in the market for a used car, will definitely give them a shot in the future.

UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW:…read more Unfortunately, my opinion of this dealership has completely changed since purchasing a Tesla from them. When we purchased the car, everyone was friendly, professional, helpful, and very eager to make the sale. We left feeling like we had been treated well and were happy with our experience. That changed completely when the person we purchased the car for fell three weeks behind on her payment. The car was repossessed, and when I contacted the dealership to try to resolve the situation and make the payment, we were told we would need to pay approximately $3,500 to redo the loan. The attitude and treatment we received at that point were completely different from when they were trying to sell us the car. The conversation was rude, condescending, and extremely disappointing. I told Sergio, the person I was referred to, that if the lenders they work with are this aggressive about repossession, I believe customers should be made very aware of that when purchasing a vehicle. His response was that it was not their responsibility to tell customers that. When I said I thought it would simply be good business practice, he responded, "No, it's not." That response told me a lot. When my husband went to return the car, he also overheard Tony on the phone discussing the repossession of another customer's vehicle. Obviously, I cannot speak to that customer's circumstances, but after our experience, it certainly made us question how often this happens with vehicles sold through this dealership and the lenders they choose to work with. I understand that the owner of the car was late on the payment. I am not disputing that, and I am not saying there should be no consequences for being late. My issue is with how quickly this escalated, the amount of money we were told we would have to pay to redo the loan, the lack of concern about making customers aware of the lender's practices, and most of all, the dramatic difference in how we were treated once they were no longer trying to sell us a car. They were wonderful when they wanted our business. Our experience when there was a problem was the complete opposite. Based on what happened to us, I would strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing a vehicle here to ask very specific questions about the lender, late-payment policies, repossession procedures, reinstatement fees, and exactly what happens if a payment is late before signing anything. I wish we had.
