This O'Reilly is in the plaza with Aldi's, Ulta Beauty, and 24 Hour Fitness. It's in a convenient location with plenty of parking. They sell all sorts of car-related parts and tools. I came here for purchasing a new car battery and recycling an old one. The service was excellent - they asked for the car model, shared the various battery options. I purchased a battery with 3 year warrantee and also lasts longer than the standard battery ($179) for $209. I also asked a tough question of "do you have any parts for EV's" and the front desk was able to look up what the store has to offer for certain car brands and models. Next time, I will be sure to come back for windshield wiper replacements and windshield fluid - it was pretty affordable. Overall, with the great selection, great price, and great service, I will be sure to come back to this O'Reilly for any of my auto part needs! read more

I love love love going to O'Reilly for all my car needs! As a woman, dealing with car troubles is so intimidating but at any O'Reilly, in any city, I know I am in good and safe hands. The Monrovia O'Reilly is my local store so I have been going there for at least the past decade. Every experience at this O'Reilly has been a good one. They always help me with whatever I need. I went in earlier this weekend to get coolant for an older Mercedes (so many radiator problems with Mercedes!!! ugh!) and Evan was so helpful!! He got me the correct fluids even with my minimal knowledge of the car make and model, talked me through proper use of the coolant, and made sure to tell me everything I needed to know to remain safe when dealing with the radiator. I stopped by to use a store card I got from returning a few items I ended up not needing from previously getting a new car battery installed. I came in to purchase some windshield wiper fluid (not realizing I needed to get some new wipers as well). It was just a simple transaction for one item, as I didn't really need to work on any significant project as I have in the past. How is this company different from competitors? So far, it seems like it boils down to the particular product you are trying to find. I once needed a can of battery cleaner spray, and since O'Reilly didn't have it at the time (if at all), I ended up going to AutoZone for it. Besides that, they seem to be fairly stocked with everything else, as far as I know so far. Parking: Plenty FYI: - Social distancing implied at least from more "barriers" at the check-out counter. - It always helps to take plenty of pictures before visiting the store because you never know whether you'll end up needing that information or not. read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon to get a replacement screw for my license plate. Was quickly assisted by Chris and he helped select a set of screws. When we went to try those out, they were unfortunately a bit too large, so we went back inside to exchange them. The second set fit well and he quickly helped install the new screws. Oh! Oh! Oh.... oh REALLY? Ooopen late on Sundays? That's right, kids... roll in here until 9:00 PM on a Sunday night for air fresheners, AC refrigerant, and a two-pack of cheap locking blade knives in a plastic clam pack. I'm not really a car guy. I drive trucks... but I'm also not really a truck guy... meaning, while I get the joke about some 30 weight oil, gauze pads and ball bearings, I don't particularly enjoy getting my hands dirty doing an A-Arm replacement, or figuring out why my catalytic converters has stopped catalyzing or converting or whatever. Occasional good sales when I'd rather spend $25 on a synthetic oil change than $90... and if I'm feeling really stupid (or poor), I've done a few brake jobs with O'Reilly assisting. My last few trips here involved car batteries, and on all fronts, they were extremely helpful. Not exactly a specialty shop, but if you need something, they probably have it. read more

My Corolla was no longer starting, and they Jumpstarted me enough to get near the store and changed out the battery for me! A new battery with a 3-year warranty came out to ~$210. O'Reilly is great. I really just go in for wipers, my car doesn't need much other than oil, and I don't change that myself anymore. But they're friendly and once they even put my wipers on for me, in the rain. Location is convenient. Went in there suspecting a dying battery. Vic tested the battery, helped me pick out a new one, and installed it. I came around 8 at night and it took about a hour for him to finish since the acid had built up on my old battery, making it hard to remove. He maintained a great attitude the whole time! We found almost everything that we needed, and the cashier was very helpful in helping us to order the one other item that we needed. The order was in the next day, and they called us to let us know it was ready for pick up. We have come here three times now after being unsuccessful at Pep Boys, and each time we got great service and the products we needed. O'Reilly's has our business for good now - no more messing around with Pep Boys - they're a mess and service is poor. read more

Earlier today, I picked up some wiper blades for my mom since it has been raining here in Socal. The associate was somewhat helpful in getting us the rebate form. But I felt more of a burden asking for it. Later that day our car battery died temporarily because my mom left the lights and radio on. So we got AAA to jump start it and they even check the starter, alternator and battery for you. They also recommend charging the battery at like a Pep Boys or O'Reily. Apparently it was a service they offer free of charge. I called the Las Tunas location but they were busy and would take it overnight, but I had no other means to get back home. So I called this location and they said to bring it on by. When I got there, Roice was not helpful at all. I don't even think he knows how to take a battery out because he gave me a wrench to unscrew the bolt. Anyways, I also felt like he was upselling me on a battery when I told him that I just had it test by AAA third party and they said it was fine and just needed to be charged. I was really unhappy because I even called to make sure it was okay to come by. And Roice is just giving me the run around. I felt like he was just too lazy since it was 8pm and they close at nine. I ended up just leaving because clearly the associate did not want to help. After this visit, I will never return here nor recommend this place because it now feels like a dishonest establishment. Roice helped me out and, although they couldn't come out to my car, he explained how to do it and even looked up some info on my car that I might need. He made it super easy to do and then he ran the codes and explained everything to me. I was impressed that he was so generous with his time (especially since I wasn't actually buying anything). I have been here several times for either mine or my husband's auto mobile's needs. We have purchased windshield viper replacements, motor oil, other items needed to do one's own oil change, car light bulbs and other scratch repair items here. Customer service here is pretty friendly. Most employees (but not all) we have interacted with knows where all of the items are in the store and how to use them on the car, which is not always the case for every auto car parts store I have been to. There was this one time my husband needed a specific touch up car paint for his car to touch up a scratch on his car and the store did not have it. But the one employee who was helping us said he can order it and it will come in within the next afternoon. Sure enough, when we call over the store the next day, the paint was there in the store and we were on our way. Pricing here is pretty reasonable and comparable to other auto part stores like Auto Zone. There is plenty of parking available, as this store shares the lot with 24 Hour Fitness, Albertson's & Michael's. read more

I came in on Sunday for a vehicle battery and wiper blades for my Beetle. Cam came right out to help even though they were busy and not yet fully staffed. He worked with me on finding the right size to fit the casing, patiently re-bolted the bizarre German bracket placement (which couldn't have been easy) and he expertly installed the new blades. On top of all that (in the mid-day heat) he researched and solved the weird warning cluster of lights on the dash. He even welcomed my questions when he let me watch the whole show. For the record: Cam must have been a saint in a former life. Don't bother with anyplace else, people - this place is the real deal. read more

I needed to exchange an item i purchased .called the store and spoke with cameron. He not only went out of his way to help me .he found the item i needed and guaranteed he would hold it for me.since it was the last one in the proper sizing. In the store. I did recieve it. Cameron was not availble for me to thank him.at that time. But to my surprise he contacted me to make sure i recieved it and was happy. Wow! All the employees are helpful and nice. Except for 1. I'm not a car guy by any means but I like wheeling and working on my own rig. I stopped going to Pep Boys, and AutoZone because for the most part they employee younger people that aren't very knowledgeable, I checked out the O'Reillys near me and was very pleased with the service, knowledge. Until I was tended to by Tony, who seemed more interested in sending me away than helping. I came in today looking for several parts for a differential, I asked if they had a yoke,v right off the bat he told me that they don't stock them because if the rarity, he seemed the system several options came up, I read thru the descriptions and pointed to the one that matched my axle, front Dana 30, 1310 yoke size and instead of checking availability he kept scrolling, disregarding what I had just said until I put my finger on the monitor pointing to the part, he then proceeds to tell me again the part is not in stock and he doesnt know if it could be ordered, I asked if he could check for me, he did and wow what a miracle there part can be ordered and will arrive tomorrow by 10am. I let him know I want to order it and that I have other parts I still need, I ask if he can check for a pinion nut and washer and he goes into the whole it's not in stock thing before he even checks and then tells me "I don't mean to drive you away but you should try 4wp", he checks for the parts and they can be at the store afternoon next day, I let him know I want to order, he asks if I need something else, I say yes I need a differential cross pin, he tells me the lines again adding that that is not the name of the part and it may not be sold by itself, he looks in the system, I look for it on my phone, and he is about to tell me see I can't find it, I show him my phone on the store website showing the part, part name, and number, O and wow again the part can be ordered and will arrive next day, by now he looks irritated and he asks if I need anything else I say yes he comes over and tells me that "this is going to take to long I need to help other customers" like who the fuck am I NOT A CUSTOMER??. but fine there's a line I understand, I go and search for other items I can get my self come back to the counter and Ebel (I think it's his name sorry if I got it wrong) I let him know I need to rent a tool, I show him the pinion and point too the racer (bearing) and let him know something to remove the part, I point too the bearing remover install kit, and ask if he thinks that tool can do the job, he gladly brings the tool out and looks way way more willing to help me solve the issue, and then comes Tony who didn't want to help and took off to help others to interject and again instead of trying to help find a solution purty much tells me that he can't help to go somewhere else, all the while I'm looking at the damn tool I need on their loaner tool list on the counter. At that point I snapped, this wasn't the first time that TONY had shown this type of customer service, I had gone in before for brakes, and for tool rental and it was the same experience, now I understand people can have bad days but three separate occasions is just bad customer service. And to be clear I have only had this experience with TONY, others have been plenty helpful. read more

The Asian salesman name R_ _ce is rude and annoying. Won't listen to customer and insists on what he thinks without hearing me out. Cuts in when I'm explaining. He laughs out loud and keep saying "no" to me. Luckily I spoke with another salesman named Cam on the phone prior to visiting the store. Cam overheard the escalating situation when he passed by. He offered to see my truck and sold me the part I needed. SHAME ON THE STORE MANAGER FOR SEEING THE PROBLEM AND DID NOTHING TO HELP. I mentioned to Cam this also.
