I've had my dogs professionally groomed here and the groomer did such a poor job, leaving excrement on my dog during his time there and the mgr didn't want to refund me what I paid, when I had originally bought the upgraded service. Today, on a separate trip, . I went to the same store to get dog food and was given the run-around. The store was unorganized. The staff was not knowledgeable nor accommodating when the item was out of stock, offering me an up-sell and not honoring my rewards on the account for which I showed the "mgr" on my phone email. It's an inconvenience to drive to Woodlyn and the experience is not up to par. Not ever again. I've worked in marketing and sales for corporate for a long time. When there is a promotion, you honor it or accommodate and not make assumptions or use entitlement to justify a store inconvenience. There is a reason why sales are down at this store. To others, I say, go elsewhere to spend your time and money.

The displays of livestock were amazing and owner Roy's personal not for sale tanks were up there with displays you might see at a city aquarium. I am currently setting up a saltwater tank and was looking for live rock with checking out possible lifeforms. The customer service was over and above exceptional, even telling me to give the rocks time to make the tank ready when I mentioned what type of crustaceans I was interested in buying. That they were more concerned with the tank being ready adding creatures than making more sales immediately was mind blowing. Felt more like hospitality than shopping. When I mentioned I lived about an hour away, the owner double bagged with plenty of water to be sure everything would arrive in good shape. I am a fish breeder, so this review is strictly for their fish section and customer services…read morerelated to fish. Like most other pet stores (especially regarding fish), it is hit or miss. For a while i brought fish here to trade for store credit and would use the credit to get new specimens to freshen the gene pools of my aquariums full of home bred and raised livebearers. Unfortunately, most of the fish i got from here ended up dying within a week or so. I am not sure if it is issues with bad genetics, stress, water chem etc.. All i know is i have established tanks full of a few hundred fish being born, raised and moved on at any time and the only fish i have that die are the ones I get from this store. I do have a healthy Bristlenose Pleco i got from here, and one stunning sailfin molly, so it is not all bad. However, i can say with confidence that 9/10 of the livebearers (swordtail, molly, guppy, platy) i get from here don't make it a month. It is really nice of them to offer credit for stock, (honestly it should be standard but not all stores do it) but unfortunately not only were the fish I was buying back unhealthy, the supplies/food i would buy from there was priced higher than i see elsewhere. Brenden and Cole are 2 really nice and friendly guys who care about the animals and the customers.
