I wish when they reseal it, they at least label the box to let the next person know what's inside so if they're not interested, they don't waste their time opening it. Just be aware, things that don't work are thrown back in the bin but the staff would let me know if they recognize what it is or if it works before I attempt. This month I peeked in and found some great finds like a neck massager retailing at $50-60 for $20 and today, I've found Coop pillow for $20 completely sealed and unused! What a score 10% of the retail price! There are other Amazon pillows there too but I think people didn't know about this brand so they passed by it. This pillow is great, at the top end of pricing and highly recommended on Reddit. I also have one myself and enjoy it (not the cooling one though so this Eden one would be great for the warmer months). Do I need another one? Probably not but it is the thrill of the find, that keeps people coming back. The neck massager works well and I have it to use while I relax on my couch.

I signed up for their newsletter and that's how I discovered that they have a retail location in Richmond Hill that was going to be open to the public the same time that I was going to be in the GTA, and the hotel that I was staying at was less than 10 minutes away. I believe that they have 2 retail locations (this one in Richmond Hill and one in Toronto proper). These locations open up to the public for a few months at a time, unlike their travelling sales where they are only in town for a few days. Anyway, it's a warehouse, so it looks and feels like a warehouse. Prices are ok. Some items are fairly cheap, like stickers ($0.50) and books ($2.50-$10). Others are slightly lower than retail, but not bargain basement prices. They had costumes which were the same price as Party City after Halloween. It's pretty big, and is fun to poke around if you have kids in your life. You'll almost certainly find something for them. It's in an industrial park so there's lots of free parking in their parking lot.

I tried to order something else and it was also not available. I ending up asking what she recommends, and said kebabs so I end up getting Koobideh which is $17 with tax comes to $19. But after I paid I found out I had to wait 15 mins but in reality maybe over 20 mins, which is kind of slow for takeout. I probably would've just skipped if I knew the food would've taken that long and just got food at the front burger counter. They didn't have any other customers there but there are a couple of Uber deliveries I see at the front and notice they are doing some Uber deals. But with at least 3-4 people working on the food at the back, it seems way too slow. When the food came out it was good, the kebab was on par with some of the Persian food I've had around the area but probably not enough for me to come out just for this. I would be curious to try the other foods that I haven't heard of before. But you'll need more coordination with a pre-order given they are slow and things could be not available (at least for the Iranian / Middle Eastern food counter). Keep in mind the staff might not speak English well so don't expect them to be able to explain the dishes and options. I was hoping I could pick up some food and maybe a bit of groceries. However, they don't have many staples like bananas we were looking for (though they have other fruit). More so specialty products, pasta, grains and seasonings. The sangak looked really good and I see they have a huge oven at the back to make it. Apparently, it's Iranian's national bread. I was very tempted to pick some up but way too much for us to finish. A recent Yelp experience introduced me to Hyper Grill, a fast food stall within Hyper Fresh, a cool supermarket that specializes in Iranian and international foods, including Turkish and Indian items. I hadn't visited any businesses along Doncaster for several years. I dropped by often when Cayne's Super Housewares (it was next door to this supermarket), and Hampstead House Books were alive and kicking along this street. I drove over to Hyper Fresh after work on a Thursday. Taking backroads was great. I got here in roughly 25 minutes from home. All parking spots in front of this supermarket are on a slant. There were also cars parked parallel to Doncaster, which was weird. They were all taken. I ended up parking closer to K-Beauty Outlet, which had normal parking. The entrance has a ramp. I felt like I was working out my calves walking in. If you are using a wheelchair, you'll need extra arm strength to get yourself up the ramp and into the store. Coming out of the store, you may need to use your brake! My friend, Sandy, was already in the store, perusing. I found her and we browsed before and after hitting Hyper Grill. It's cool that we like checking out supermarkets among other shared interests. We both enjoyed cheeseburgers at Hyper Fresh. They were excellent smash burgers with all the fixings, including caramelized onions. It also has pizzas, sandwiches, and more. The fries are also yummy, with a light, crispy coating. There is seating to enjoy your food. There's an area with tables and chairs. We sat by the window. It was fun perusing the grocery store. I needed to get celery. The produce was fresh. I was pleased with the selection of celery available. We saw a lot of nuts. No, not customers. Almonds. Pistachios. Cashews. A lot! This store also has an entire display dedicated to dates. I liked that you could enjoy sample dates in this store. I found triangular paratha in the fridge. I got some. It wasn't my regular brand that was flaky. It was triangular without any flakiness, which was disappointing. What was great was getting a small tub of pomegranate ice cream. It was slightly sweet, with a lot of yummy pomegranate flavour. I'm nearly done, so I may need to head back soon to get the larger tub. We looked at salt .Blue salt was going for $20. Yikes! I need to research why it's so expensive. I hope that it has special properties. As with any supermarket, some prices are cheap and some are not. I wouldn't recommend getting pop here. However, it had carbonated yogurt drinks that were decent in price. They also intrigued me. I saw channa masala seasoning and Turkish delight. It was cool seeing other international items. Sandy made a good observation that this store didn't have a whole lot of chocolate. We eventually found chocolate bar squares near the checkout area. I got a milk chocolate bar that was yummy. There's a meat shop in the back left of the store. There was a lot of feta cheese to look at, too. I look forward to returning. I liked seeing the jam varieties in this store, from fig to rose petal. The man at the checkout was so nice. I paid for my goods with a credit card. He put my items in a bag. It was a seamless transaction. I had a wonderful experience shopping here. Their stuff with cream is delicious -- the milky richness really shines through. Get the cube thingy filled with cream! And though small, their butcher corner carries various cuts and brands. You'll find wagyu at a great price now and then too. The place has outdated decor and does not necessarily feel squeaky clean... but there is always plenty of free parking. The cashiers are friendly, and workers (though not easy to come by) will offer help and answer questions.

This place reminds me of Pacific Mall (dying), Oriental Mall (dead except the old people hanging out there) and perhaps to a lessor extent a dead mall like Center Point. Why would you go there when Center Point is so close with free parking? Since many of the shops are owned and nothing new is happening, I figure it will just slowly die with increasing management fees. Whoever designed the place is missing what shows up in other malls. They should have studied real estate design better (no mentioning what they lack). If any shop disappears, does it matter?

A year later, I was hoping that more business would have moved in but sadly a lot of the original business was no longer here and no new business brave enough to open up new venture. The mall has quite a nice set up but definitely lack any foot traffic. The supermarket in the basement area is the busiest of them all but with underground parking attached to the supermarket most customers are not going to visit other stores/business upstairs. I feel sorry for the investors that bought the units and not able to rent it out for over 1 year. But it is just not a good location to start a business here unless you already have a good client base and they willing to visit your new location!

I used to come to this plaza often roughly thirteen years ago. I saw a nutritionist at the medical clinic a few doors down from this grocery store. He is no longer there. He also had a location in Mississauga, so I saw him there after work instead. The most buzz at this plaza is for this grocery store. It was busy at around 4 pm. I found a parking spot and backed into it. I then headed into the store. As expected, it is an older store structurally. It did have everything that I needed, though. I needed fruit. This place has a good produce section. I got plums and apples are decent prices. The baked goods section is behind the produce. Two men, one older and one likely in his twenties, were talking back and forth. Loudly. I picked up some cheese bagels that were on sale. They were soft and cheap. Perfect! I was reunited with Dare coconut cookies. OMG! They are delicious and deadly. I hadn't had them in ages, so I got two boxes for $5.50. Eggnog is out. I find drinking it November to be too early. I didn't see any dairy-free versions. This place has an excellent cream cheese section. Regular. Dairy-free. Whipped. Flavoured. It has everything! While lined up at the cashout area, I signed up for Moi rewards. This program includes Metro and a few more places where you can earn points. I am still learning about how it works. I just quickly joined so that I could get my barcode scanned and start earning points immediately. If you do forget to scan your Moi barcode or card, you have fourteen days to return to the customer service counter where you made your purchase and have someone add your points to your account. I had a competent woman cash me out. I paid with a credit card. Done! I was happy that I finally dropped by this grocery store. I got everything that I needed before I headed home. (449)

Both the community centre and this grocery store share the same parking lot. Perfect! It look me less than a minute to drive over here from the community centre. I backed into an available parking spot and made my way over to the entrance. I needed a shopping cart. I didn't have any change on me. I needed a quarter to use one. I lucked out and found a stray cart that didn't have a quarter in it. Yay! The hours of operation are decent at this grocery store. It's open every day at 8 am. It closes at 8 pm on weekends and 9 pm on weeknights. I needed a fair number of items. The fruit and product section greeted me, which I spent the most time in. I needed celery. It wasn't cheap. It wasn't in the best condition with a lot of nicks and damage. It was okay. The avocados were in better shape. There were two types: hass and bruce. I had never seen the latter before. They were huge and twice the price. I stuck with hass. The fruit selection is decent. I got a bag of apples and a container of pears. I go through fruit so much that it helps when prices are decent and I get the most bang for my loonie. I raided the bagel section. It was nice seeing blueberry ones for a change. They were soft to the touch. I got the last tube of medium ground beef that was on sale. The quality was decent. The Uncrustables selection was great. I tried the chocolate hazelnut version. Yummy! I also got some grape peanut butter ones. The last batch that I got from No Frills was stale. The ones here weren't stale at all. Yay! The Asian section is excellent. It had a wide assortment of potstickers and dumplings to choose from. I also found Filipino-style spaghetti sauce, which I love. The noodle and ramen section is also strong. I hit the taco section. Getting taco seasoning was fancy here. I had El Paso and Taco Bell seasonings to choose from. I got a packet of Taco Bell seasoning. I noticed that I could also get larger shaker formats. The Dare cookie varieties were perfect. No Frills doesn't carry the ultimate coconut variety. This place does at a locked-down price of $2.99. As for pop, the twelve-pack of canned drinks was at a good price of $7.48. The Pepsi flavours aren't as fancy here. You can't get cherry or lime zero flavours, for instance. However, this place had 7Up cranberry zero. It intrigued me that I got a case. This store has a self-checkout and humans at the checkout. I went with the latter. I'm glad that I did. I got the nicest woman. I had her scan my Moi barcode on my phone to earn points. I bagged my groceries and then paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. I wished her a good rest of her day and left. I loaded my car with my groceries and returned my cart. I then continued running errands. The 7Up cranberry is refreshing. It's like having a cranberry limeade drink. The quality of the gala apples and pears that I bought was great. No complaints. The only downside was dealing with an impatient female customer who wanted to get by me when I was starting to move. She was older. I actually told her to give me a minute. It was more like five seconds. I don't get why people are in such a rush, especially on a Saturday afternoon. I'd return to get groceries here when I'm in the area. Unfortunately, that was not the right entrance. From John St turn at Porterfield Cres or turn into the plaza from Green Ln. Another reviewer noted the very plain interior within the store and I must agree. It's not a bright and cheery store at all with just the green and yellow throughout. We only browsed but found lots of items on sale. There is a fairly wide selection of items but I didn't find what I was looking for. The cashier was pleasant and greeted us with a 'good morning' and wished us a good day when we were leaving. There is a section for self checkout and I saw an employee wiping everything down.
